  • Jordan Wilkins RB | CLE

Colts' Jordan Wilkins: Zero touches Sunday

Wilkins didn't have any carries or targets in Sunday's win over the Giants.

Wilkins has seen his role drop off over the last half of the season. Sunday marked the third time this season he hasn't carried the ball or been targeted in the passing game. Barring injuries to Marlon Mack and Nyheim Hines, it seems unlikely that Wilkins will have much fantasy value, if any, in Week 17 against the Titans.

  • Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Expected to play Week 17

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Monday that the Cowboys will go "all out" in their Week 17 matchup with the Giants, suggesting Elliott will play in the contest, Jon Machota of The Dallas Morning News reports.

After defeating the Buccaneers in Week 16, the Cowboys clinched the NFC East title and are locked in as the conference's No. 4 seed in the postseason. With nothing on the line for Dallas in the regular-season finale, there's little to gain by using key players extensively and potentially exposing them to injury ahead of the playoffs. That said, if Elliott ends up seeing something resembling a normal workload Week 17, it would make him one of the better high-end fantasy plays at running back, though Jones' comments shouldn't be taken as gospel at this point. Reserve backs Rod Smith and Darius Jackson would be in line for more snaps than usual if Dallas ultimately decides to restrict Elliott's usage.

  • Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Week 17 status uncertain

Coach Ron Rivera admitted Monday that the team will hold internal discussions before deciding whether to hold out key players such as McCaffrey for its Week 17 game against the Saints, Bill Voth of the Panthers' official site reports.

Though the Panthers were eliminated from playoff contention heading into Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Falcons, it didn't stop McCaffrey from playing 83 of the team's 92 offensive snaps (90.2 percent), which actually dropped his season-long percentage to a still-astronomical 97.7 percent. During the contest, McCaffrey reached a milestone by hauling in 12 passes to bump his total up to 106 for the season, establishing a new NFL record for running backs. Aside from giving McCaffrey a chance to reach 2,000 scrimmage yards for the season -- he's 75 shy of that mark -- there's seemingly little benefit for the Panthers to hand the second-year player another massive workload and potentially expose him to injury in an otherwise meaningless season finale. Even if the Panthers elect to hand McCaffrey another start Week 17, there could be some risk of him being pulled from the game early, which would make him a more shaky play than usual in DFS contests.

  • Chiefs' Damien Williams: Finds end zone

Williams carried the ball 13 times for 103 yards in Sunday's 38-31 loss to the Seahawks. He also added seven receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown.

Williams continued to see his workload increase on the ground, racking up a season-high 13 carries. That allowed him to surpass 100 rushing yards in a single game for the first time in his career. Williams also continued his excellence through the air, hauling in all seven of his targets while recording his second receiving score of the season. He's taken advantage of being the lead back on one of the most explosive offenses in the league, and it should be expected that he'll maintain the same role so long as Spencer Ware (hamstring) remains sidelined heading into a Week 17 matchup against the Raiders.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Two scores and 105 total yards

Kamara ran for 23 yards on seven attempts, adding four receptions for 82 yards during Sunday's 31-28 win against the Steelers.

Following a three-game scoreless streak between Weeks 12 and 14 (76.3 YPG during that span), Kamara has tallied three rushing touchdowns in wins over Pittsburgh and Carolina the past two weeks, racking up more than 100 yards from scrimmage in each of those outings. He entered Sunday's contest red hot as a pass catcher, with 20 catches over his past three games (compared to 19 combined receptions in six games prior). That trend continued as he picked up four-plus catches for the fourth straight game, piecing together his greatest receiving output since Week 3 -- against a Steelers defense that's been tremendous in containing backs coming out of the backfield. (Pittsburgh ranks among the NFL's six best teams in receptions and receiving yards allowed to the position.) With home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs wrapped up, Kamara may not see more than one or two offensive drives as New Orleans concludes the regular season playing host to a Panthers team that's dropped seven straight games, while surrendering 26.9 PPG during that span.

  • Panthers' Cameron Artis-Payne: Tallies 20 yards in loss

Artis-Payne contributed a seven-yard run and 13-yard catch during Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Falcons.

Artis-Payne doubled his season total for touches on Sunday. The fourth-year back has just five touches in six games as Carolina's No. 2 back since the departure of C.J. Anderson. That role means more with Cam Newton shut down for the season as Newton was essentially the Panthers' second back, but the difference probably isn't enough to warrant looking at Artis-Payne next Sunday against New Orleans, a top-five run defense this season.

  • Chiefs' Darrel Williams: Injures hamstring

Williams (hamstring) is questionable to return to Sunday night's contest against the Seahawks, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.

The Chiefs' running back depth will be further taxed in the event Williams is unable to return, as that leaves Damien Williams and Charcandrick West as the only two healthy backs active for Sunday's game.

  • D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE

Texans' D'Onta Foreman: Scores in 2018 debut

Foreman rushed seven times for a loss of one yard but caught both of his targets for 28 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 32-30 loss to the Eagles.

Foreman found himself wide open in the middle of the field and caught a strike from Deshaun Watson for an easy touchdown with 4:41 left in the game. Aside from that, the 22-year-old was unable to do much in his first game action since returning from an Achilles injury. He did see three more carries than Alfred Blue, however, and an equal amount of touches. The former Longhorn will likely remain at least the change-of-pace back even if Lamar Miller returns for Week 17 at home against the Jaguars.

  • Jeff Wilson RB | MIA

49ers' Jeff Wilson: Held in check

Wilson rushed 11 times for 27 yards while adding two receptions for an additional 11 yards in San Francisco's Week 16 loss to Chicago.

After Matt Breida left the game early with an ankle injury, Wilson finished the game as the lead running back, but was unable to have much success running against the ferocious Chicago defense. Should Breida miss next week's game, Wilson should get enough volume to be a fantasy starter against a Rams defense that can be attacked on the ground.

  • C.J. Anderson RB | LAR

Rams' C.J. Anderson: Explosive performance in spot start

Anderson rushed 20 times for 167 yards and a touchdown and brought in one of three targets for minus-5 yards in the Rams' 31-9 win over the Cardinals on Sunday.

No one could have seen this one coming when Anderson was seemingly brought on as veteran insurance last Monday. However, once Todd Gurley (knee) was declared inactive Sunday, Anderson vaulted up to the lead-back role in his first taste of game action as a Ram. He responded with a vintage performance that harkened back to his Broncos heyday, posting his best rushing yardage total since Nov. 30, 2014, when he lit up the Chiefs for 168 on 32 carries. Given how well he performed, Anderson could well find himself in the primary running back role again in Week 17 against the 49ers if the Rams opt to allow Gurley's inflamed knee to get extra rest in advance of the postseason.
