  • Keith Ford RB | IND

    Colts' Keith Ford: Joins Colts

Ford signed a contract with the Colts on Sunday.

Ford hasn't had a team since being cut by Buffalo in mid-May. The 25-year-old appeared in two games for the Bills last season, logging 79 rushing yards on 21 attempts to go with three catches for 21 yards. Ford will likely find himself occupying the last spot on Indianapolis' depth chart, which was made vacant after the team waived Aca'Cedric Ware.

  • Chris Warren RB | LV

Chris Warren: Didn't meet fitness standards

Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Olson said the team let Warren go Sunday because he didn't meet Oakland's "fitness expectations," Josh Schrock of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Warren checked in around 260 pounds in late June, up from the 247 pounds he weighed at the 2018 combine. Schrock also reported that the 23-year-old "looked bulkier on Saturday," which seemingly was the deciding factor for Oakland's decision to sign James Butler and waive Warren.

  • Chris Warren RB | LV

    Chris Warren: Waived by Oakland

Warren was let go by the Raiders on Sunday, Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Warren had such promise heading into the offseason, as general manager Mike Mayock even said he was excited to see the young running back in practice. Warren made a bid for the 53-man roster as an undrafted rookie in 2018 after he led the NFL with 292 rushing yards during the preseason, ultimately being stashed on injured reserve with a knee injury instead. In a corresponding move, the team signed fellow running back James Butler.

  • Chiefs' Damien Williams: Leaves practice early

Williams left Sunday's practice early with a hamstring issue, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.

Given the tricky nature of hamstring injuries, it's possible the Chiefs are being extra cautious with the running back they listed atop their depth chart going into training camp. Williams averaged 100.4 scrimmage yards and 1.7 touchdowns on 17.5 touches per game over his final six games (including playoffs) last season.

  • Derrick Henry RB | BAL

Titans' Derrick Henry: Dons walking boot

Henry (foot) did not practice Saturday and is wearing a walking boot, Terry McCormick of titansinsider.com reports.

Henry departed Friday's practice early due to an apparent foot issue and was called "day-to-day" by coach Mike Vrabel, with the exact nature of the injury unspecified. Henry likely will remain sidelined during Sunday's practice, the first padded session of Tennessee's training camp. The situation will be monitored closely in the coming days.

  • Packers' Jamaal Williams: Nursing hamstring injury

Williams sat out Saturday's practice due to a hamstring issue, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

The severity of Williams' injury remains undisclosed, but his situation warrants close monitoring given the tricky nature of hamstring issues. As long as Williams remains sidelined, rookie sixth-round pick Dexter Williams should see increased opportunity to earn reps.

  • Miles Sanders RB | DAL

Eagles' Miles Sanders: Easing into practice

Sanders said Saturday that the Eagles are steadily increasing his activity in practice, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Sanders missed the majority of Philadelphia's offseason program due to a hamstring injury, including OTAs and mandatory minicamp, so it's understandable that the Eagles are taking a cautious approach to his health. The rookie second-round pick says he feels 100 percent healthy, but it remains to be seen how the Eagles' crowded running back room -- which houses Sanders, Jordan Howard and Darren Sproles in addition to Corey Clement (knee), Josh Adams (shoulder), Wendell Smallwood, Boston Scott and Donnel Pumphrey -- will play out.

  • Packers' Jamaal Williams: Not practicing Saturday

Williams (undisclosed) was on the sidelines during practice Saturday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

More information regarding the severity of the injury figures to be available following the conclusion of Saturday's practice, which was the team's first day in shoulder pads.

  • Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Officially on did not report list

Elliott has been officially placed on the reserve/did not report list by the Cowboys, Rob Phillips of DallasCowboys.com reports.

It's purely a procedural move, and the running back will rejoin the roster once he reports to camp, which he must do by Aug. 6 or lose an accrued season towards free agency. With two years remaining on his rookie deal, Elliott has little leverage in his holdout beyond the team's Super Bowl aspirations and the lack of depth behind him on the depth chart, but the two sides will continue discussing a contract extension for the two-time rushing champ -- although the Cowboys' priority remains signing Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper, both of whom are free agents after this season.

  • Kenyan Drake RB | GB

Dolphins' Kenyan Drake: Not worried about Ballage

Drake said he isn't worried about the workload split with Kallen Ballage through the first two days of training camp, Adam Beasley of The Palm Beach Post reports. "I know who I am and what I can control. It's all about controlling the controllables," Drake said Friday. "There's only one ball. I try to go out there and put my team in the best position to win games. That's all I can do."

Ballage working ahead of Drake is the big story from the opening week of camp, though both players are getting regular work with the starting offense. The distinction between the first and second units appears less important for Miami than other teams, as the Dolphins have competition for a bunch of starting jobs, including Ryan Fitzpatrick vs. Josh Rosen at quarterback. Entering the final season of his rookie contract, Drake acknowledged that his 2019 role can have an impact on future earnings, but it isn't his immediate concern. He also mentioned dropping five pounds in the offseason in an effort to improve his conditioning -- perhaps hinting that he expects to have a larger role.
