Ezekiel Elliott RB | LAC
Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Staying in shape
Elliott's weight is in the low 220s, which is the lightest he's been since his rookie season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Now in the third week of his contract holdout, Elliott reportedly has been working out in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the same place he went during his six-game suspension in 2017. He returned from that ban to take 51 carries for 200 yards over the final two weeks of the season, playing 125 snaps in the process. Elliott never seems to have any issue with strength or conditioning, but it still won't be ideal if he doesn't have much time to practice before he plays in a game. It's unclear when his holdout might end, with Cowboys VP Stephen Jones saying last week that he didn't expect Elliott to sign a new contract before the end of training camp. That prediction appears to be coming to fruition as Thursday marks the final day of camp for the Cowboys.

Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Uncertain for preseason
Vikings assistant coach Gary Kubiak said he isn't sure if Cook will play in the preseason, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Kubiak said he still needs to discuss the matter with head coach Mike Zimmer, who primarily takes responsibility for the Minnesota defense. Cook has missed 17 games in two seasons, but he finished 2018 with a healthy, productive stretch that included 520 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns in five December games. With Alexander Mattison, Ameer Abdullah, Mike Boone and De'Angelo Henderson (ankle) forming a less-than-stellar reserve group in the backfield, Cook is primed for heavy workloads early in the regular season.

Kenyan Drake RB | GB
Dolphins' Kenyan Drake: Avoids structural damage to foot
Drake was spotted in a walking boot Wednesday, but the foot injury he suffered during Tuesday's practice "is not considered structural," Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.
Per Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com, Drake acknowledges that he'll miss some time, while adding that his injury is "nothing crazy." With that in mind, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald relays that coach Brian Flores has indicated that the Dolphins are hopeful Drake will be ready for Week 1 action. Until then, Kalen Ballage -- who had a strong practice Wednesday -- will handle Miami's first-team reps, with Mark Walton next up in the team's backfield pecking order.

Kenyan Drake RB | GB
Dolphins' Kenyan Drake: On track for regular season
Coach Brian Flores said Drake (foot) will be sidelined for a while but is expected to be ready for the Dolphins' Week 1 game versus the Ravens, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.
Drake suffered an injury that caused him to limp off the field during Tuesday's practice, and he was spotted in a walking boot Wednesday. The fourth-year running back appears to be managing a foot injury of moderate severity, though it's encouraging that he isn't expected to miss any regular-season action. As long as Drake remains sidelined, Kalen Ballage will operate as Miami's clear No. 1 runner.

Damien Harris RB | BUF
Patriots' Damien Harris: Managing minor injury
Harris is present at practice Wednesday despite nursing a hand/wrist injury, Jeff Howe of The Athletic reports.
Harris' injury is reportedly considered minor. The third-round pick was held out of Thursday's preseason win over the Lions and hasn't been receiving substantial reps in practices, according to Kevin Duffy of the Boston Herald. Considering top running back Sony Michel's history of knee injuries, it's possible that the Patriots intend to take a cautious approach with Harris while the rookie is less than 100 percent.

Derrick Henry RB | BAL
Titans' Derrick Henry: Works off to the side
Henry (calf) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice but was spotted on a side field running with a football in his hand while making cuts, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Per Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com, Henry sported a sleeve on his left calf, but the fact that the running back is able to make cuts at this stage is a good sign. He'll probably sit out Saturday's preseason game against the Patriots, but an appearance in the Titans' third exhibition tilt seems plausible, in the absence of any setbacks.

Kenyan Drake RB | GB
Dolphins' Kenyan Drake: Wearing walking boot
Drake (lower body) was spotted in a walking boot and isn't practicing Wednesday, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.
The boot doesn't necessarily mean the injury is serious, but it suggests Drake is unlikely to play in Friday's preseason game against Tampa Bay. He limped off the practice field Tuesday morning, with coach Brian Flores saying afterward that he hoped to see Drake back in action Wednesday. That obviously hasn't come to fruition, leaving Kalen Ballage unopposed as the first-team running back in practice.

Jeff Wilson RB | MIA
49ers' Jeff Wilson: Returns to practice
Wilson (calf) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice, according to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area.
Wilson suffered a calf injury early in camp, and his return to the field falls in line with the initial one- to two-week timetable. Expect the 23-year-old to get plenty of looks this preseason as he attempts to wiggle his way onto the 53-man roster of a team with plenty of talented backs ahead of him on the depth chart.

Rodney Anderson RB | CIN
Bengals' Rodney Anderson: Sitting out second preseason game
Anderson (knee) won't play in Thursday's preseason game against Washington, but he will play the following week against the Giants, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
Given that at one time Anderson was a candidate to be put on the PUP list, this is certainly a good sign in terms of his recovery from a torn right ACL injury suffered last year.
