Royce Freeman RB | CHI
Broncos' Royce Freeman: Returns to game
Freeman, who was forced out of Sunday's game against the Packers with a shoulder injury, was able to return to the contest.
Freeman therefore will resume his duties in Denver's Week 3 backfield, working in tandem with Phillip Lindsay, following his temporary exit from Sunday's tilt.

Royce Freeman RB | CHI
Broncos' Royce Freeman: Exits Sunday's game
Freeman was forced out of Sunday's game against the Packers with a shoulder injury, Zac Stevens of BSNDenver.com reports.
Prior to his exit, Freeman had logged three carries for three yards. Phillip Lindsay will head Denver's backfield in his absence, with Devontae Booker on hand in a reserve role.

Darrel Williams RB | NO
Chiefs' Darrel Williams: Could be starter Sunday
Williams was working out first in the Chiefs' running-back drills during pregame warmups, signaling that he may garner the start Sunday against the Ravens, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
With normal No. 1 back Damien Williams (knee) sidelined, the Chiefs will be forced to break in a new starter for the matchup between division leaders. Veteran LeSean McCoy is listed second on the depth chart and was expected to draw the starting nod, but the Chiefs could choose to limit his workload while he nurses a sore ankle that left him visibly gimpy when he reported to the stadium Sunday. If McCoy is in fact limited, Williams and Darwin Thompson - who was second in line during warmups -- could be on tap to handle the bulk of the snaps out of the backfield.

Qadree Ollison RB | PIT
Falcons' Qadree Ollison: Inactive Week 3
Ollison (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 3 tilt against the Colts.
The reserve running back will take a seat for the third time in as many games to open the season. Devonta Freeman has generated career-low efficiency over the first two games of 2019 while averaging 2.2 yards per carry, but coach Dan Quinn apparently is content with Freeman, Ito Smith and return specialist Kenjon Barner constituting his backfield for at least another week.

Jonathan Williams RB | WAS
Colts' Jonathan Williams: Sitting out Sunday
Williams (ribs) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Falcons.
Williams was a full participant in the Colts' final two practices of the week, but that wasn't enough for him to avoid a questionable designation heading into the weekend. Though his absence Sunday will be attributed to the injury, it's possible the Colts simply didn't have a need to keep Williams active with three other running backs (Marlon Mack, Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins) available for the contest. Williams' Colts debut will have to wait for at least another week.

Damien Harris RB | BUF
Patriots' Damien Harris: Suits up Sunday
Harris is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Jets.
With James White unavailable Sunday, Harris will suit up for his first regular-season game as a pro. The rookie could see some touches working behind lead back Sony Michel, but we'd expect Rex Burkhead to be the player who absorbs the bulk of White's usual change-of-pace duties.

Marlon Mack RB | ARI
Colts' Marlon Mack: Playing Sunday
Mack (calf) is active for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Kevin Bowen of 1070 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
The statuses of both Mack and top wideout T.Y. Hilton (quadriceps) were muddled heading into Sunday after injuries limited the duo in practice this week, but the two playmakers received the green light to play upon making it through pregame warmups without incident. Mack enters the Week 3 contest at less than optimal health, but the Colts haven't provided any clear indication his workload will be impacted because of it. The 23-year-old handled 20-plus carries in both of the first two games of the season and has played 71.8 percent of the Colts' offensive snaps.

Marlon Mack RB | ARI
Colts' Marlon Mack: Likely to play Sunday
Mack (calf) is listed as questionable but is likely to play Sunday against the Falcons, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. However, the Colts want to test Mack in pregame warmups before a decision on his status is made.
Mack missed practice both Wednesday and Thursday, but was able to return Friday -- albeit in a limited fashion -- offering hope that he'll be able to suit up for Sunday's contest. If he's unable to go or is limited this weekend, Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins would be next up for touches out of the Colts' backfield.

Rashaad Penny RB | CAR
Seahawks' Rashaad Penny: Not expected to play Sunday
Penny, who injured his hamstring during Friday's practice and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints, isn't expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Penny's injury is not considered serious, but Schefter notes Seattle wants to be cautious with the second-year back while he manages the injury. Assuming Penny is included among Seattle's inactives when the team releases its list 90 minutes prior to the 4:25 p.m. EDT kickoff, C.J. Prosise would be the next man up for reps behind starter Chris Carson.

Darwin Thompson RB | LV
Chiefs' Darwin Thompson: Poised for more work
Thompson should experience an uptick in work with Damien Williams (knee) ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Ravens, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
In addition to Williams, who is dealing with a knee contusion, expected starting running back LeSean McCoy is listed as questionable for this contest due to an ankle issue. Assuming McCoy is active Sunday, the Chiefs may spread out the snaps among the available backs in order to ease the workload on the veteran. If McCoy joins Williams on the inactive list, Thompson and Darrel Williams will be the only RB options available to an explosive offense. In his sole season at Utah State last year, Thompson racked up 1,395 yards from scrimmage and 16 touchdowns on 176 touches.
