Qadree Ollison RB | PIT
Falcons' Qadree Ollison: Receives key practice reps
Ollison worked in the running back rotation during Wednesday's practice, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Ollison has been inactive for each of Atlanta's games this season, but he's now facing opportunity with Ito Smith (concussion) and Kenjon Barner (concussion/knee) both managing injuries. Depending on the health of the Falcons' running back group Week 4, Ollison and Brian Hill could be active and serve as the top backups to Devonta Freeman.

Kenjon Barner RB | TB
Falcons' Kenjon Barner: Not practicing Wednesday
Barner (concussion/knee) did not practice Wednesday.
Barner exited Sunday's loss to the Colts due to a head injury and isn't yet healthy enough to practice. With Ito Smith (concussion) also sidelined Wednesday, the Falcons could be forced to rely on Qadree Ollison and Brian Hill in Week 4 as reserve running back options behind Devonta Freeman. Additionally, if Barner misses any time, Atlanta will roll with Justin Hardy and Kendall Sheffield as starting kick and punt returners, respectively.

Cordarrelle Patterson RB | PIT
Bears' Cordarrelle Patterson: Limited participant Wednesday
Patterson was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a triceps injury, Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Patterson had four rushes for 14 yards and a six-yard catch in Monday's win over the Redskins, but he apparently sustained the injury at some point. The 28-year-old has played 44 offensive snaps through three games and figures to be questionable for Week 4 unless he returns to full participation over the next couple days.

Rashaad Penny RB | CAR
Seahawks' Rashaad Penny: To practice Wednesday
Coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that Penny (hamstring) will participate in practice, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Penny was initially expected to resume practicing Thursday, so it appears as though he's recovering well from his hamstring injury. The second-year running back sat out Week 3's loss to the Saints but appears to have a fair shot of returning versus the Cardinals on Sunday.

Corey Clement RB | ARI
Eagles' Corey Clement: Questionable for Week 4
Clement (shoulder) practiced fully Wednesday but is listed as questionable for Thursday's game at Green Bay.
Clement emerged from Week 2 with a shoulder injury and didn't take the field this past Sunday against the Lions. The initial prognosis called for him to miss 1-to-2 weeks of action, but with a "full" designation on Wednesday's injury report, he has a chance to return Week 4. The Eagles will confirm Clement's availability, or lack thereof, about 90 minutes before Thursday's 8:20 p.m. EDT kickoff.

Damien Williams RB | ARI
Chiefs' Damien Williams: Missing practice Wednesday
Williams (knee) isn't practicing Wednesday, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
Williams continues to nurse the knee contusion that kept him from suiting up during the Week 3 win over the Ravens. Top backup LeSean McCoy (ankle) is still banged up but expected to suit up Sunday in Detroit, perhaps setting the stage for another committee approach to the backfield if Williams is forced to miss another contest. Along with McCoy, Darrel Williams and Darwin Thompson would once again benefit from increased snaps sans Damien Williams.

Devin Singletary RB | NYG
Bills' Devin Singletary: Doesn't return to practice
Singletary (hamstring) won't practice Wednesday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Singletary didn't practice at all last week and was ruled out two days ahead of Sunday's win over the Bengals. He appears to be in danger of missing another game when the Bills host the Patriots this weekend. Frank Gore and T.J. Yeldon are the healthy options in Buffalo's backfield.

Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Won't be available Sunday
Gordon (contract dispute) won't be available for Sunday's game in Miami even if he rejoins the Chargers this week, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
While there hasn't been anything definitive, reports from Rapoport and Adam Schefter of ESPN suggest Gordon is thinking about moving up his timeline for a return. He reportedly planned to come back in October, so the adjustment may just be a matter of a week or two. Whatever the case, Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson should have at least one more game in their respective backfield roles.

Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Could rejoin team soon
Gordon (contract dispute) had planned to rejoin the Chargers at some point in October, but he may soon move up his reporting date, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
It isn't clear if Gordon would push the date up to the end of September, or if Schefter's report just means the running back will come back earlier in October. Either way, he'll likely be out for at least one more game, with the Chargers facing the Dolphins on Sunday in Week 4. Gordon might be ready to make his season debut as soon as Week 5, though he hasn't made any public statement outlining a plan.

Roc Thomas RB | JAC
Roc Thomas: Gets reinstated
Thomas (suspension) was reinstated to the NFL on Tuesday, freelance NFL writer Howard Balzer reports.
Thomas completed a three-game suspension for a violation of the league's substance-abuse policy. It'll be interesting to see if he garners any attention on the free-agent market now that he's eligible to sign with a team.
