Thompson (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday's game against the Broncos, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.

Thompson doesn't factor into Kansas City's plans on offense with Damien Williams, LeSean McCoy and Darrell Williams all healthy. The rookie sixth-round pick only played snaps on special teams Week 6.

Kamara (ankle/knee) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Kamara hasn't ruled himself out from playing Sunday in Chicago, but he'll likely need to log some practice activity Friday to have a decent chance at suiting up. The high-ankle and knee issues have kept him sidelined during the Saints' first two sessions of Week 7, leaving first-team work for backup running back Latavius Murray. The Saints would likely turn to Murray to handle the bulk of the backfield snaps if Kamara can't play against the Bears, with Dwayne Washington and Zach Zenner on hand as depth options.

Singletary (hamstring) practiced on a full basis for the second straight day Thursday.

It looks like Singletary is ready to rejoin the party following three straight absences and a bye, though with the team handling him with kid gloves ahead of a couple of those games, owners will want to check just ahead of Sunday's 1pm ET kickoff. Although he'll still yield the bulk of the carries to veteran Frank Gore, Singletary -- even with limited touches -- still has the potential to do some damage against the Swiss cheese defense known as the Dolphins.

Walton (thumb) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.

Walton has opened the week with two straight limited practice sessions, but there doesn't seem to be much concern about his availability for Sunday's game against the Bills. In fact, coach Brian Flores indicated that he "could see" Walton serving as the Dolphins' lead option on the ground in the contest, per Hal Habib of The Palm Beach Post, though Kenyan Drake is still expected to see his fair share of involvement as well. Even so, with Drake on the trade market and a candidate to be dealt before the Oct. 29 deadline, Walton could be in line for significant opportunities moving forward if he continues to impress the Dolphins staff, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

Barkley (ankle) said Thursday that there's "no doubt" in his mind he can handle a full workload Sunday versus the Cardinals, Darryl Slater of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Barkley's comments were made after he managed another full practice Thursday, his second in as many days. Despite the positive development, the Giants still may give him a game-day designation upon the release of Friday's injury report. Barkley aside, the Giants' backfield seems to be getting healthier, as Wayne Gallman practiced fully Thursday as he works his way through the concussion protocol. Ultimately, Barkley's workload this weekend may be contingent on which of the team's running backs are active.

The Bengals waived Perine on Thursday.

Perine appeared in all six contests for Cincinnati this season, contributing on special teams during that stretch. Defensive end Anthony Zettel will take his spot on the 53-man roster.

Drake could be traded before the deadline if the right offer presents itself, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Drake is set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2020, and it doesn't appear as if he and the team have been in talks regarding a potential contract extension. With the winless Dolphins clearly setting up for the 2020 season and beyond, it might be wise for them to deal the running back and accumulate another asset in the form of a draft pick. The team has already had trade conversations with potential suitors, and Drake has expressed openness to being moved.

Newsome (undisclosed) was released off the Chargers' practice squad injured list with an injury settlement Wednesday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Newsome landed on the practice squad injured list Tuesday and didn't have to wait long before making his way to free agency. The 25-year-old is free to sign elsewhere once healthy.

Gore signed with the Chargers' practice squad Wednesday.

Gore spent training camp with the Chargers and rushed 12 times for 64 yards and one touchdown in the preseason. The rookie running back now finds himself back in the organization while Justin Jackson battles a calf issue.

Penny (hamstring) wasn't listed on Wednesday's injury report, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Coming off a third absence in a four-game stretch, Penny finally appears to be healthy and ready to get Seattle's backfield back to full strength. It remains to be seen how many reps he'll handle on a weekly basis, though, as Chris Carson has averaged 27.3 touches for 142.3 yards from scrimmage while scoring two touchdowns over the last three contests.
