Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Keeps building momentum in loss
Gordon rushed 22 times for 108 yards and a touchdown and secured his only target for 25 yards in the Chargers' 26-24 loss to the Raiders on Thursday.
Gordon led all rushers on the night in ground yards, as he continues to ascend back to the high bar he's previously set for himself. The fifth-year back now has three rushing scores over the last two games, and Thursday's 100-yard effort was the first of his truncated campaign. Gordon has also encouragingly logged at least 20 carries in back-to-back games just four days apart, and he'll look to come back even stronger after the extended layoff in a Week 11 Monday night showdown with the Chiefs on Nov. 18.

Raheem Mostert RB | LV
49ers' Raheem Mostert: Limited by knee injury
Mostert (knee) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Mostert has played through a knee injury the last three games, but aside from a 41-yard TD run Week 8, he's notched nine rushes for 17 yards (1.9 YPC) and no other scores. Working behind Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida (ankle) doesn't afford Mostert many touches on a weekly basis, especially with a tough Monday night matchup with the Seahawks on tap. First, though, Mostert will look to practice in full Friday and/or Saturday.

Matt Breida RB | SF
49ers' Matt Breida: Limited to begin Week 10 prep
Breida (ankle) was limited at practice Thursday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Breida logged a similar number of reps as fullback Kyle Juszczyk (knee) and tackles Joe Staley (fibula) and Mike McGlinchey (knee), a trio that will boost the rushing attack if any of them return to action Monday against the Seahawks. For much of the last two seasons, Breida has played through injuries, so he's a good bet to be available again Week 10. In the end, though, Saturday's injury report will reveal his odds to suit up.

Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Back to full health
Kamara (knee/ankle) practiced fully Thursday.
Shortly after Kamara told Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune that he's "ready to play" Sunday against the Falcons, the Saints revealed he upgraded from limited participation Wednesday to all activity one day later. With his knee and ankle injuries in the rearview mirror, Kamara can turn his focus to an Atlanta defense that has allowed 128.9 yards from scrimmage per game and nine touchdowns to running backs in eight contests this season.

Chase Edmonds RB | WAS
Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Misses another practice
Edmonds (hamstring) didn't practice Thursday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
With David Johnson (ankle) back to full health and Kenyan Drake in the fold, the Cardinals can opt for caution with Edmonds, who hasn't practiced since Oct. 25. If Edmonds misses a second consecutive contest Sunday at Tampa Bay, the aforementioned duo will be the team's top two running backs in some order with Zach Zenner in reserve.

James Conner RB | ARI
Steelers' James Conner: Unlikely to play Sunday
Conner (shoulder) isn't slated to suit up for Sunday's game versus the Rams, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Conner practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, marking his first appearance on the field since Oct. 26. Having said that -- and despite optimism from coach Mike Tomlin -- it appears the Steelers will be without Conner for a second straight game. If the preceding comes to pass, the backfield could be the sole domain of Jaylen Samuels, as Benny Snell (knee) won't return this weekend and Trey Edmunds missed Wednesday's session due to a rib injury.
-
Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Practices in limited fashion
McCaffrey (knee) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Brendan Marks of The Charlotte Observer reports.
McCaffrey slowly but surely is ramping up his practice reps this week, with coach Ron Rivera stating the running back is "progressing" through his undisclosed knee injury, according to Joe Person of The Athletic. Friday's practice report will reveal whether or not McCaffrey's managers have to sweat out his availability for Sunday's game at Green Bay.

Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Positive outlook for Week 10
Kamara (ankle) is expected to be ready to play Week 10 against the Falcons.
Kamara received commendations for the quality of his practice session Wednesday, per Mike Triplett of ESPN.com, though the running back was officially listed as a limited participant. That's been the case on multiple occasions in past weeks, and Kamara ended up not suiting up, but it's looking like this week could be different. After two absences and a bye week, Kamara will face an Atlanta defense that's giving up 3.9 YPC to opposing running backs.

James Conner RB | ARI
Steelers' James Conner: Returns to limited practice
Conner (shoulder) practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday, Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Meanwhile, fellow running back Trey Edmunds (ribs) didn't practice Wednesday. Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette previously relayed that coach Mike Tomlin is optimistic that Conner -- who didn't practice at all last week -- has a chance to play Sunday against the Rams, but that outcome can't yet be considered a lock at this stage.

Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Limited following bye week
Kamara (knee/ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Kamara was limited on the two injury reports prior to logging his second straight absence in the Saints' last contest Week 8 against the Cardinals. While his current standing doesn't appear to indicate he's progressing in his recovery from his injuries, he'll have two more chances to prove his health this week. Latavius Murray is on hand in the event Kamara requires another game off Sunday versus the Falcons.
