Matt Breida RB | SF
49ers' Matt Breida: Not participating in practice
Breida (ankle) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Instead, Breida was confined to a side field, where he put in rehab work for his sprained ankle. Unless Breida shows enough improvement overnight to practice in some fashion Friday, he'll likely be listed as "doubtful" or "out" ahead of Sunday's game against the Packers. A second straight absence from Breida would pave the way for Tevin Coleman and Raheem Mostert to lead San Francisco's Week 12 ground attack.

John Kelly RB | CLE
John Kelly: Sticks with Rams
Kelly signed with the Rams' practice squad Tuesday, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
Kelly was waived by the Rams on Saturday but will remain with the organization after clearing waivers. The 23-year-old appeared in three games while on the 53-man roster and had three carries for nine yards.

Raheem Mostert RB | LV
49ers' Raheem Mostert: Limited to start week
Mostert (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Mostert logged a trio of limited practices last week due to his lingering knee issue before proceeding to play in Sunday's win over the Cardinals, gaining 27 yards from scrimmage on eight touches. Even if Mostert never manages full participation in practice Thursday and/or Friday, he should still have a good shot at playing this weekend versus Green Bay. With Matt Breida (ankle) still not practicing Wednesday and perhaps trending toward another absence, Mostert could once again be in line to play a change-of-pace role behind Tevin Coleman.

Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Limited at practice Wednesday
Jacobs (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
Jacobs has been managing a shoulder issue of late, but despite his limitations at practice over the last two weeks, he approached both of the Raiders' last two outings minus an injury designation. Expect him to continue that trend this week in advance of Sunday's game against the Jets.

Benny Snell RB | DET
Steelers' Benny Snell: Full practice participant
Snell (knee) practiced without limitations Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Snell was only recently given the 'all clear' for practice, and he's apparently already working at full speed. After missing three games following arthroscopic knee surgery, Snell is in line to suit up for Sunday's divisional clash against the Bengals. With James Conner (shoulder) missing the first practice of the week, the rookie fourth-rounder could have a role in Pittsburgh's backfield committee if the lead option is inactive. Snell has rushed 28 times over seven games, averaging 4.2 yards per tote.

James Conner RB | ARI
Steelers' James Conner: Misses practice Wednesday
Conner (shoulder) didn't practice Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
At this stage, Conner is looking iffy for Sunday's game against the Bengals. If he's forced to sit out the contest, Jaylen Samuels and Trey Edmunds would be next in line for touches in Pittsburgh's backfield touches, with Benny Snell and Kerrith Whyte candidates to work in reserve.
-
Nick Bawden RB | HOU
Lions' Nick Bawden: Shut down for season
Bawden (knee) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
Bawden's season is over after he suffered a knee injury during this past Sunday's loss to the Cowboys. The second-year fullback averaged 12.7 offensive snaps per game this year, catching four of six targets for 17 yards. The Lions don't have another fullback on their active or practice rosters, so they may choose to fill the void via a free agent.
-
Damien Harris RB | BUF
Patriots' Damien Harris: Limited at practice
Harris (hamstring) was limited at practice Wednesday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Harris sat out Sunday's win over the Eagles after being added to the Patriots' injury report two days ahead of the game. Even if the rookie running back is deemed healthy enough to play this weekend, he could still sit out against the Cowboys as a healthy inactive.
-
Matt Breida RB | SF
49ers' Matt Breida: Still not practicing
Breida (ankle) will be held out of Wednesday's practice, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
In the midst of a 1-to-2-week recovery effort from a low-ankle sprain, Breida has yet to get on the practice field since suffering the injury Week 10. As long as Breida remains sidelined, Raheem Mostert will serve as the main change-of-pace option to Tevin Coleman out of the 49ers' backfield.

Saquon Barkley RB | PHI
Giants' Saquon Barkley: Not on Wednesday's report
Barkley (shoulder) wasn't listed on the Giants' injury report Wednesday.
Coming off a Week 11 bye, Barkley is past the shoulder injury that he picked up in the Giants' last game Nov. 10 against the Jets. In the aftermath of his worst performance of the season -- 18 touches for 31 yards from scrimmage -- he relayed he has no desire to be rested at any point down the stretch, per Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com. With his health now intact, Barkley will turn his focus first to Sunday's matchup with the Bears, whose defense has allowed 129.7 yards from scrimmage per game and 11 touchdowns to running backs in 10 contests this season.
