David Montgomery RB | HOU
Bears' David Montgomery: Receives 16 touches in win
Montgomery rushed 14 times for 45 yards and caught two passes for nine yards in the Bears' 30-26 victory over the Falcons on Sunday.
Montgomery was routinely stuffed over his first nine carries of the game, as he was averaging fewer than 1.5 yards on those attempts. He fortunately had a few productive runs while the Bears were in the process of making up a huge deficit, as he found more room to operate. He's carried the ball between 13 and 16 times in each game this season, giving him a solid weekly floor as a top-25 running back.

Joe Mixon RB | HOU
Bengals' Joe Mixon: Held down by Eagles front
Mixon registered 49 rushing yards on 17 carries, adding two catches for 16 yards during Sunday's 23-23 tie against Philadelphia.
The former Oklahoma Sooner has been bestowed a typically heavy workload through the first three weeks of 2020, racking up 19.7 offensive touches per game. That usage hasn't translated into rampant production in the early going. Most of Mixon's work has come via the ground, of course, where he is averaging fewer than 3.2 yards per carry behind an offensive line that is without starting right tackle Xavier Su'a-Filo (ankle). Mixon also remains without a touchdown on the year, further reducing his fantasy value. In 2019, Mixon started slowly before heating up late in the season, as he had collected just 87 rushing yards (on 32 attempts) through three outings, only to chalk up three rushing outings of 135-plus yards Weeks 14 through 17. Mixon's upcoming matchup doesn't indicate a likely breakout, however, as the Jaguars have allowed three total touchdowns and a mere 3.2 yards per rush to opposing RBs in 2020.

Nick Chubb RB | HOU
Browns' Nick Chubb: Another two scores
Chubb carried the ball 19 times for 108 yards and two touchdowns in the team's Week 3 win over Washington. He also added one reception for two yards.
Chubb saw just over half of the team's 37 rushing attempts and made the most of his opportunities. He punched in his first score midway through the second quarter from 16 yards out and followed that up with a 20-yard trip to the end zone to help clinch the win in the final quarter. While Kareem Hunt continues to earn plenty of work out of Cleveland's backfield, Chubb has shown the skill to produce even with the split workload by averaging 5.8 yards per rush through three games.

Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Totals 199 yards
Cook rushed the ball 22 times for 181 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 against the Titans. He also added two receptions for 18 yards.
Cook's highlight play came late in the first quarter, when he broke off a 39-yard run to find the end zone. However, that was far from his only production, as he recorded seven rushes of 10 yards or more and also added an additional reception for a double-digit gain. Though Cook briefly left the game hobbled late in the fourth quarter, he was able to retake the field and should be ready to roll in Week 4 against Houston.

Jeff Wilson RB | MIA
49ers' Jeff Wilson: Makes good on Week 3 opportunity
Wilson rushed 12 times for 15 yards and a touchdown and brought in all three targets for 54 yards and another score in the 49ers' 36-9 win over the Giants on Sunday.
Wilson was slated to complement Jerick McKinnon with both Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman sidelined by knee sprains, and although the third-year back found running room at a premium, he still pounded his way into the end zone from two yards out with 3:35 remaining. Earlier in the fourth quarter, the versatile Wilson also logged a 19-yard scoring grab, making it a rewarding day for fantasy managers who plucked him off the wire this past week or took a shot on him as a DFS punt play. It's worth noting Wilson may be much less of a long shot in a Week 4 Sunday night matchup against the Eagles, considering McKinnon emerged from Sunday's win with a rib injury, Coleman is on injured reserve for at least two more games and Mostert may not be ready to return.

Devin Singletary RB | NYG
Bills' Devin Singletary: Tops 100 scrimmage yards
Singletary rushed 13 times for 71 yards and caught four of five targets for 50 yards in Sunday's 35-32 win over the Rams.
Singletary carried the rushing load with Zack Moss (toe) out, as T.J. Yeldon (three carries for 18 yards) was the only other running back to touch the ball for the Bills. Singletary failed to get into the end zone on a direct snap from the one-yard line in the first quarter and ended up watching quarterback Josh Allen account for five touchdowns from inside the five-yard line, but Singletary's 121 scrimmage yards were eight shy of his combined total from Weeks 1 and 2. While his lack of usage in the red zone puts a cap on Singletary's value, he should be a reliable source of yardage against the Raiders in Week 4.

Antonio Gibson RB | NE
Football Team's Antonio Gibson: Leads Washington in rushing
Gibson carried the ball nine times for 49 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 against the Browns. He also added three catches for 11 yards.
Gibson found the end zone for the second consecutive game, converting a two-yard score to cap off a third-quarter drive. While that helped him to a productive day, he also broke off rushes of 13 and nine yards. The only downside to his performance was a lost fumble to end the first half, though the mistake did not have a major impact on the outcome of the game. While Gibson still saw only nine of the 22 carries out of Washington's backfield, it seems to be only a matter of time before he emerges as the top option for the team.

Jerick McKinnon RB | KC
49ers' Jerick McKinnon: Hurts ribs Sunday
McKinnon emerged from Sunday's 36-9 win against the Giants with a rib injury, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. Overall, McKinnon had 14 carries for 38 yards and one touchdown while reeling in three of four targets for 39 yards.
With Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman sidelined with sprained knees, McKinnon got the start at running back for the 49ers, but only one of his 17 touches occurred in the fourth quarter. It appears McKinnon hurt his ribs, which allowed Jeff Wilson to rack up 15 touches, 69 yards from scrimmage and two TDs by game's end. Even practice-squad call-up Jamycal Hasty (three touches for 18 yards) got in on the act. As a result, fantasy managers will need to monitor McKinnon's situation closely this week to get a bearing on his potential to play next Sunday versus the Eagles.
-
Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Pedestrian in Week 3 loss
Jacobs (hip) rushed 16 times for 71 yards and caught three of four targets for 12 yards while losing a fumble in Sunday's 36-20 loss to the Patriots.
New England excels at shutting down opposing top players, and that defensive approach coupled with Jacobs playing through a hip injury resulted in a mediocre performance from the young running back. Things don't get much easier with the undefeated Bills coming to town in Week 4, though Buffalo did allow over 100 rushing yards to Rams running back Darrell Henderson on Sunday.
-
James Conner RB | ARI
Steelers' James Conner: Racks up 149 scrimmage yards
Conner carried 18 times for 109 yards and a touchdown while catching four of five targets for 40 additional yards during Sunday's 28-21 win over the Texans.
Conner had a rather pedestrian start to the game and watched as Anthony McFarland and Benny Snell took away 14 touches. It appears that was in an effort to keep Conner fresh, as he helped Pittsburgh control the game in the second half and scored the decisive touchdown on a 12-yard run in the fourth quarter. He now piled up 270 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns over his last two games and will look to keep up his excellent production next Sunday against the Titans.
