Miles Sanders RB | DAL
Eagles' Miles Sanders: Pops up on injury report
The Eagles added Sanders to their Week 17 injury report after he was a limited participant at Thursday's practice due to a knee issue.
Considering Sanders wasn't included on the initial report released Wednesday, he may have picked up the injury at some point during Thursday's practice. Head coach Doug Pederson should provide some clarity on the matter Friday, but with the Eagles having been eliminated from playoff contention, Sanders could be at risk of sitting out Sunday's season finale versus Washington if there's any concern about the health of his knee. Boston Scott is the next man up at running back behind Sanders.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB | KC
Chiefs' Clyde Edwards-Helaire: Remains sidelined Thursday
Edwards-Helaire (ankle) didn't practice Thursday, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
The same applies to fellow running back Le'Veon Bell (knee). If both players end up ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers -- which is plausible given that Kansas City (with the AFC's No. 1 seed clinched) plans to rest some key players this weekend -- the next players up in the team's RB pecking order are Darrel Williams and Darwin Thompson, with Elijah McGuire a candidate to be elevated from the practice squad.

Antonio Gibson RB | NE
Football Team's Antonio Gibson: Another absence Thursday
Gibson (toe) didn't practice Thursday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
For a second consecutive session, Gibson logged a DNP as he manages a turf toe injury that sidelined him Weeks 14 and 15. Coach Ron Rivera alleviated concerns Thursday, stating Gibson is "fine" and Washington is allowing the running back to get as much rest as possible to be ready for game day, according to JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington. Considering Gibson churned out 69 yards from scrimmage on 13 touches this past Sunday against the Panthers, he should be good for at least that much work Week 17 in Philadelphia if he's able to suit up.

Antonio Gibson RB | NE
Football Team's Antonio Gibson: Absent for second straight practice
Gibson (toe) wasn't spotted at practice Thursday and is slated to go down as a non-participant on Washington's official report, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
After missing two games while battling turf toe, Gibson returned to action in the Week 16 loss to the Panthers, carrying 10 times for 61 yards and catching three passes for eight yards while playing 30 percent of Washington's offensive snaps. Though Washington didn't report that Gibson experience a setback in his return to action, his absence from two straight practices to begin Week 17 may indicate otherwise. Gibson will likely need to get back on the field in at least a limited capacity Friday to have a shot at suiting up in Sunday's game against the Eagles. If Gibson can't go, Washington would turn to J.D. McKissic and Peyton Barber as its main options out of the backfield.

Javon Leake RB | DET
Javon Leake: Cut from practice squad
Washington waived Leake from the practice squad Thursday.
Leake only appeared in one game with Washington this season, Week 14 at San Francisco, in which he handled six snaps on special teams. He was cut to make room for fellow running back Jonathan Williams.

Jonathan Williams RB | WAS
Jonathan Williams: Gets practice squad spot
Washington signed Williams to the practice squad Thursday.
Williams has appeared in five games with Detroit this season, and he'll now provide emergency depth for Washington during the team's regular-season finale. The Football Team's top running back, Antonio Gibson (toe), appears in danger of missing another contest.

Chase Edmonds RB | WAS
Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Not at practice Thursday
Edmonds (hip) wasn't present for Thursday's practice and is expected to go down as a non-participant on the Cardinals' official report, Kyle Odegard of the team's official site reports.
Edmonds' lack of activity at the Cardinals' first two practices of Week 17 is worrisome ahead of Sunday's must-win game against the Rams, but the running back will attempt to get in some reps Friday before Arizona decides on his status for the regular-season finale. The hip issue resulted in Edmonds being removed early in the Cardinals' Week 16 loss to the 49ers, allowing top back Kenyan Drake to handle a slightly larger snap share than he normally would.

DeeJay Dallas RB | MIN
Seahawks' DeeJay Dallas: Unable to practice Wednesday
Dallas (ankle) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Dallas is recovering from the Grade 3 ankle sprain he suffered in the Week 15 win over Washington; it seems unlikely that he plays in the season finale against the 49ers. With Carlos Hyde's (illness) status uncertain as well, Rashaad Penny could see some additional work behind Chris Carson (foot) on Sunday.
-
Cam Akers RB | SEA
Rams' Cam Akers: Logs DNP on Wednesday
Akers (ankle) was estimated as a non-participant on Wednesday's injury report, Kevin Modesti of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Head coach Sean McVay relayed to Sarina Morales of the Rams' official site that Akers was "making great progress" with his high-ankle sprain, but McVay may have just meant the running back is doing well with the rehab process. Akers has two more opportunities to get on the practice field this week, as does fellow running back Malcolm Brown (shoulder), who was listed as limited Wednesday. With Darrell Henderson on injured reserve with a high-ankle sprain, the Rams seem to be leaning toward Brown as their starting running back Sunday against the Cardinals, even if Akers is able to gain clearance to play.

Chase Edmonds RB | WAS
Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Doesn't practice Wednesday
Edmonds (hip) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Edmonds has been tending to multiple injuries over the past few weeks, with a hip issue being his latest concern. He managed one limited session last week before being active this past Saturday versus the 49ers, but he played just 16 snaps before departing in the first half, ending with two catches (on three targets) for 18 yards. Kenyan Drake took on a larger workload (52 offensive snaps, 20 touches) in Edmonds' stead, while D.J. Foster saw his most significant run of the season (17 such plays, one carry). If Edmonds is unable to go Week 17 against the Rams, the Cardinals likely will have a similar breakdown of work between Drake and Foster.
