Jeff Wilson RB | MIA
49ers' Jeff Wilson: Deemed day-to-day
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Wednesday that Wilson (ankle) is considered day-to-day, Chris Biderman of The Sacramento Bee reports.
Wilson suffered a sprained ankle in Week 7 against the Patriots and sat out three games as a result. The 25-year-old running back was designated to return from injured reserve Tuesday, opening a 21-day window for him to rejoin the roster. Depending on how his ankle responds to a week of practice, Wilson could play in this Sunday's game against the Rams. His role depends on the health of the other backs, as Tevin Coleman (knee), Jerick McKinnon (neck) and Raheem Mostert (knee) are all banged up to varying degrees.

Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Logs limited practice
Kamara (foot) was limited at Wednesday's practice, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
For the third time in four weeks, the Saints are capping Kamara's practice reps in some form. Over the past three games, he tallied 42 touches for 192 yards and five touchdowns, bringing him to 12 scores in 10 contests this season. Kamara will aim to bump up to full participation by the end of the week.

J.J. Taylor RB | HOU
Patriots' J.J. Taylor: Clear of injury report
Taylor (undisclosed) isn't listed on Wednesday's injury report, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Taylor was unavailable for Week 11 due to an unspecified injury, but he was back on the practice field Wednesday. The 22-year-old hasn't seen game action since Week 3, and that's unlikely to change this weekend with Sony Michel back from injured reserve.

D'Andre Swift RB | CHI
Lions' D'Andre Swift: Officially listed as questionable
Swift (concussion) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Texans, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Swift has wrapped up the Lions' Week 12 prep with back-to-back limited practice sessions after being listed as a non-participant Monday. The rookie running back remains in the league's five-step concussion protocol as of Wednesday, but he has a shot to gain full clearance prior to the Thanksgiving Day matchup. If Swift can't go, however, Kerryon Johnson and Adrian Peterson would lead Detroit's backfield.

LeVante Bellamy RB | DEN
LeVante Bellamy: Waived by Broncos
Bellamy was waived by Denver on Wednesday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
The rookie out of Western Michigan was activated from IR on Tuesday before being let go the following day. Per Klis, Denver hopes to re-sign Bellamy to the practice squad. After rushing for 1,472 yards as a senior at Western Michigan last year, Bellamy has been used exclusively on special teams in his three contests this season.

Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Remains unlikely to play
Coach Matt Rhule said Wednesday that he doesn't expect McCaffrey (shoulder) to be available for Sunday's game against the Vikings, Bill Voth of the Panthers' official site reports.
Rhule's comments line up with a report Monday from Adam Schefter of ESPN, who said McCaffrey was "unlikely" to play this weekend. The star running back returned to practice Wednesday as a limited participant, so he at least is tentatively on track to return after the Panthers' Week 13 bye.

Austin Ekeler RB | WAS
Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Set to resume practicing
Ekeler (hamstring) is slated to practice Wednesday after the Chargers designated him to return from injured reserve, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.
The Chargers will have a 21-day window to place the running back on their active roster. Though his imminent return to work is a positive development, coach Anthony Lynn isn't sure at this stage if Ekeler will suit up Sunday against the Bills. With Justin Jackson (knee) on IR, Kalen Ballage has headed the Los Angeles backfield over the past three games.

AJ Dillon RB | CAR
Packers' AJ Dillon: Remains in COVID-19 protocol
Coach Matt LaFleur said Wednesday that Dillon (illness) has returned to the Packers' facility but continues to work his way through the NFL's COVID-19 protocol, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Dillon is more than three weeks removed from testing positive for the virus, missing three games as a result. There's no telling when he'll be cleared to resume regular activities, or when his conditioning will be sufficient enough for him to be considered ready for game action. That said, LaFleur believes Dillon "can contribute a lot" once he does get activated. Until then, Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams will continue to get the bulk of the backfield reps for Green Bay.
-
Salvon Ahmed RB | CHI
Dolphins' Salvon Ahmed: Begins week with missed practice
Ahmed didn't practice Wednesday due to a shoulder injury, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports.
Ahmed briefly left last week's loss to the Broncos with the injury before returning to action. He'll have two more chances to resume practicing before the Dolphins decide whether to assign him with an injury designation for Week 12, but Miami's backfield situation will warrant close monitoring even if Ahmed gains clearance for Sunday's game against the Jets. Myles Gaskin (knee) was designated for return from injured reserve Wednesday, and offseason trade acquisition Matt Breida could take on an expanded role in Week 12 now that he's further removed from a hamstring injury that sidelined him for two games.

Myles Gaskin RB | SEA
Dolphins' Myles Gaskin: Cleared to practice
The Dolphins designated Gaskin (knee) to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports.
The Dolphins will have 21 days to evaluate Gaskin for a return to the 53-man roster. Gaskin was seen donning a non-contact jersey Wednesday, so he might need to increase his involvement in workouts Thursday and Friday to have a realistic shot at playing Sunday against the Jets. Undrafted rookie Salvon Ahmed has impressed enough in recent weeks that Miami likely won't feel the need to rush Gaskin back into action unless the team is convinced he's at or near 100 percent health.
