Cook (personal) won't play Sunday against the Lions, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Pelissero notes that the running back has returned home to Miami to be with his family following the tragic loss of his father, James, who passed away unexpectedly Tuesday at 46 years old. Cook concludes his fourth NFL season with 1,918 yards from scrimmage and 17 touchdowns, both career highs.

Elliott (calf) is expected to be a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

The report notes that Elliott, who has managed a calf issue for the past few weeks, is expected to play Sunday against the Giants. In the Cowboys' 37-17 win over the Eagles in Week 16, Elliott delivered one of his better performances of the season, carrying 19 times for 105 yards while catching all four of his targets for 34 yards.

The Jets announced Wednesday that Perine has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list following his positive test, Ethan B. Greenberg of the team's official site reports.

According to Greenberg, the Jets are administering contact tracing for Perine to determine if any other players may have been affected. With the Jets already ruling out Frank Gore (lung contusion) for Sunday's season finale in New England and Perine now set to miss the contest, Ty Johnson and Josh Adams are the team's available backfield options, along with practice squad member Pete Guerriero.

Cook won't be available for Sunday's game against the Lions after he returned home to Miami due to a family emergency, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.

The Vikings have yet to officially confirm that Cook will sit out, but at this stage, Alexander Mattison -- if cleared to return from a concussion -- looks set to lead Minnesota's backfield Week 17. If that's the case, Cook will wrap up a spectacular fourth NBA season with 1,557 rushing yards, 361 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns over 14 games.

Head coach Doug Marrone said Wednesday that Robinson (ankle) won't be available for the Jaguars' Week 17 game against the Colts, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

Though Robinson's ankle injury isn't believed to be a long-term concern, the Jaguars won't take any chances with their top running back with little at stake for the organization in the season finale. As a result, Robinson will finish the season with 1,070 rushing yards, leaving him just shy of the NFL record for an undrafted rookie established by the Colts' Dominic Rhodes in 2001 (1,104). While Robinson was sidelined in the Week 16 loss to the Bears, Dare Ogunbowale stepped in as the Jaguars' primary back, playing 71 percent of the offensive snaps and finishing with 14 carries for 71 yards and three receptions for seven yards on five targets.

Evans ran the ball once for three yards, and he failed to haul in either of his targets during Sunday night's 40-14 loss to Green Bay. He also recorded 145 yards on six kickoff returns.

Evans made his second game appearance since overcoming a hamstring injury and being removed from IR on Dec. 7. The third-round rookie enjoyed a significantly more effective outing in registering 57 scrimmage yards and a touchdown over 10 Week 15 touches against the Lions. Tennessee was pushed into a pass-heavy attack that mitigated Evans' involvement Sunday night, never leading in the game and falling behind by as many as 19 points in the second and third quarters.

Hill did not receive any rush attempts or targets during Sunday's 27-13 win against the Giants.

Hill garnered 14 of his 17 snaps on special teams during Baltimore's Week 16 win. The 23-year-old cost his team by being given a roughing the kicker penalty early in the fourth quarter, allowing New York to extend a drive that would culminate in the Giants' only touchdown of the contest. Hill has more game appearances (11) than he does carries (10) as Baltimore heads into an all-too-familiar Week 17 matchup against the Bengals.

Laird didn't garner any carries or targets during Saturday's 26-25 win against the Raiders.

Laird's entire 15-snap workload came via special teams during Miami's Week 16 win. The 25-year-old had taken a combined 50 offensive snaps over the Dolphins' preceding two outings against Kansas City and New England. However, with Myles Gaskin having returned from the reserve/COVID-19 list in time to face the Raiders, Laird was relegated from the offense entirely.

Wilkins registered two solo tackles during Sunday's 28-24 loss to Pittsburgh.

Wilkins received all of his work on special teams, registering 14 snaps in that department compared to zero on offense. The 26-year-old has by no means been relied upon as the workhorse this season for Indianapolis, but he has produced brief stretches of fantasy utility in 2020. Wilkins racked up 113 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on 21 touches in Week 8 against Detroit. While he then proceeded to average 6.8 carries per game in the five outings that followed, Jonathan Taylor has now seized the No. 1 job, and Wilkins has gone back-to-back contests without taking a single offensive snap.

The Buccaneers activated Jones (finger) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Jones emerged from a Week 14 win against the Vikings with a broken left pinky finger. He underwent surgery on Dec. 15 to place a pin in the appendage, and one day later the Bucs placed him on the COVID-19 list. The team never revealed whether or not Jones tested positive for the virus, but after two weeks away from the team he's poised to suit up for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Falcons. After splitting the backfield touches between Ke'Shawn Vaughn (18), Leonard Fournette (14) and LeSean McCoy (four) during his absence, Jones could return to his usual role as Tampa Bay's primary back, which has amounted to 16 touches per game this season.
