  • Football Team's Antonio Gibson: Limited by shoulder Wednesday

Gibson (shoulder) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Rhiannon Walker of The Athletic reports.

Through two games, Gibson ranks 18th in offensive snap share among NFL running backs at 62.9 percent, which has translated to 33 carries for 159 yards (4.8 YPC) and five catches (on seven targets) for 22 yards. Meanwhile, J.D. McKissic (40.3 percent) has totaled 10 touches for 101 yards from scrimmage and one touchdown. With a capped session under his belt to kick off Week 3, Gibson doesn't seem in danger of missing time, but his status nonetheless bears watching as the week goes on.

  • Dalvin Cook RB | DAL

Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Should practice this week

Cook (ankle) will get some work in during Wednesday's practice, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Cook looks like he'll be a limited participant after playing through an ankle sprain in the Week 2 loss to Arizona. He finished with 148 total yards on a 77 percent snap share, but only 35 of those yards came in the second half. Per Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer suggested Wednesday that the team won't ease up on Cook's workload, assuming the running back is able to play Sunday against Seattle. If there's a setback, Alexander Mattison is next in line for the starting job and lead role.

  • Chris Evans RB | CIN

Bengals' Chris Evans: Catches one pass in loss

Evans caught his only target for 14 yards and failed to record a single rushing attempt in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Bears.

Evans played on only two of Cincinnati's 55 offensive snaps in the contest. The rookie running back is third on the depth chart and has been an afterthought in the offensive game plan through two weeks. With starter Joe Mixon handling all three downs, Evans may not find many opportunities to utilize his pass-catching skills this season.

  • Samaje Perine RB | CIN

Bengals' Samaje Perine: Plays three offensive snaps

Perine failed to secure his one target and did not record a single rushing attempt in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Bears.

Perine was a non-factor, playing only three snaps on offense. Joe Mixon, on the other hand, continues to be the focal point of the running game while playing 46 offensive snaps in the contest. With such little usage, Perine remains far off the fantasy radar. The 26-year-old would need an injury to Mixon to create a path to fantasy relevance.

  • Jake Funk RB | JAC

Rams' Jake Funk: Little action in win

Funk logged three snaps on offense during Sunday's 27-24 win over the Colts.

Funk failed to see any rushing attempts or targets in the contest. The rookie running back has not been a part of the Rams' offensive game plan through two weeks, as he is seeing most of his playing time on special teams. Instead, Darrell Henderson and Sony Michel have been carrying the load in the backfield. Henderson suffered a rib injury in Week 2, but the Rams are optimistic about his ability to practice this week. Although Michel would be the biggest beneficiary if Henderson has to miss time, it is plausible Funk would take on a role on offense as well.

  • Ameer Abdullah RB | JAC

Ameer Abdullah: Drops to practice squad

The Vikings released Abdullah and signed him to the practice squad Tuesday.

The Vikings are keeping Abdullah close because they only have two running backs -- Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison -- on their active roster. Through two games, Abdullah has recorded 19 yards on three touches.

  • Chiefs' Jerick McKinnon: Still buried on depth chart

McKinnon played four offensive snaps and reeled in his lone target for 14 yards Sunday against the Ravens.

McKinnon is essentially a special teams player at this point with occasional involvement on offense, which is unlikely to change as long as Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Darrel Williams remain healthy. Otherwise, he should remain off the fantasy radar in the vast majority of formats.

  • Chiefs' Darrel Williams: Scores in Week 2

Williams rushed three times for a loss of two yards but did score a touchdown in Sunday's game against the Ravens.

William has played 14 offensive snaps in each of the first two contests, which is far from enough to warrant fantasy usage at this point. He's still well ahead of Jerick McKinnon (four snaps) in the pecking order behind Clyde Edwards-Helaire but is unlikely to see the field much as long as Edwards-Helaire is available.

  • Matt Breida RB | SF

Bills' Matt Breida: Reverts to No. 3 running back

Breida only saw two offensive snaps and did not record a carry in Sunday's win at Miami.

Zack Moss was back in the mix after being a healthy scratch in Week 1. While Moss fumbled the ball once, he also scored two touchdowns and certainly looked better than Breida did with his Week 1 carries. Barring an injury to Moss or starter Devin Singletary, Breida can safely be ignored again in most fantasy formats until further notice.

  • Browns' Demetric Felton: Role likely to increase sans Landry

Felton is expected to take on added reps as a slot receiver during the Browns' next three games after Jarvis Landry (knee) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. "We are excited about Demetric," head coach Kevin Stefanski said. "He has worked really hard throughout the spring and summer. As you guys have seen, he has been in the running back room and in the wide receiver room."

After playing exclusively on special teams in a Week 1 loss to Kansas City, Felton provided a spark for the Browns on only three offensive snaps in a Week 2 win over the Texans. The rookie sixth-round pick out of UCLA was targeted twice during his limited time on the field, hauling in both looks for 51 yards and gaining most of his real estate after the catch. Though Felton is listed on the Browns' unofficial depth chart as a running back, he has plenty of experience playing out of the slot from his college days. Along with Felton, Odell Beckham (knee) -- who could make his season debut Sunday -- and fellow wideouts Donovan Peoples-Jones, Rashard Higgins and Anthony Schwartz should absorb most of Landry's vacated target volume, although Stefanski could also make more use of two-tight end sets.
