Joe Mixon RB | HOU
Bengals' Joe Mixon: Status in question for Week 6
Mixon (ankle) officially is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest at Detroit, Marisa Contipelli of the Bengals' official site reports.
After putting in some work Wednesday, Jacobs was a non-participant Thursday, but it appeared to be a maintenance day considering he was present and engaged, according to Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site. On Friday, coach Zac Taylor told Ben Baby of ESPN.com that Mixon wouldn't be on a snap count Sunday, even though he managed just two limited practices this week. With Samaje Perine on the reserve/COVID-19 list as a result of a positive test, the Bengals may have just Mixon, rookie sixth-rounder Chris Evans and one of practice squaders Trayveon Williams or Elijah Holyfield in the backfield this weekend.

Damien Williams RB | ARI
Bears' Damien Williams: Not expected to play
Coach Matt Nagy said Friday that he doesn't expect Williams (COVID-19) to play in Sunday's game against Green Bay, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Williams was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday after taking 18 touches for 84 yards and a touchdown in a Week 5 win over the Raiders. Khalil Herbert also got 18 touches (all carries) in the contest, and he now figures to serve as the lead back in the absence of Williams and David Montgomery (IR/knee). With Herbert and Ryan Nall being the only running backs on Chicago's active roster as of Friday, the team could promote Artavis Pierce from the practice squad before Sunday.

Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Makes late appearance at practice
Jacobs (illness) made an appearance at Friday's practice, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
Initially, Jacobs wasn't present at the start of the media portion of the session, per Reed, but the running back appears as if he'll get into some drills. Jacobs showed up on Thursday's practice report as a non-participant due to an illness, so it'll be interesting to see how he's listed Friday, both in terms of activity level and for Sunday's game at Denver.

Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Another absence Friday
Jacobs (illness) didn't practice Friday, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
In a rarity this season, Jacobs didn't appear on the first injury report of Week 6 prep, only to show up as a non-participant Thursday due to an illness. The ailment is keeping him out of drills for a second straight session Friday, so it remains to be seen how the Raiders will list him for Sunday's contest at Denver. Another absence for Jacobs likely would result in Peyton Barber handling most of the early down work out of the backfield, while Kenyan Drake and Jalen Richard would be poised for more snaps than usual.

Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Ruled out
McCaffrey (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Vikings, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Coach Matt Rhule called his star running back "50/50" as recently as Wednesday, but McCaffrey then missed practice Thursday and Friday, leading up to what will be a third consecutive game absence. Chuba Hubbard will fill in as Carolina's lead runner again, while McCaffrey hopes to make it back for Week 7 at the Giants. For what it's worth, Rhule said he doesn't characterize this as a setback, noting that McCaffrey simply wasn't ready when he tested his hamstring at Wednesday's practice, per Joe Person of The Athletic. That said, there's nothing to suggest progress, with McCaffrey managing just one limited practice and an 'out' designation this week, after three limited practices and a 'doubtful' designation last week.

Jordan Wilkins RB | CLE
Colts' Jordan Wilkins: Won't play in Week 6
Wilkins (illness) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Wilkins will try to feel better in time to play against the 49ers in Week 7. He's a distant fourth on the Colts' backfield depth chart behind Jonathan Taylor, Nyheim Hines and Marlon Mack, so Wilkins will need an injury or two in front of him to take on a meaningful role once he's healthy again.

Antonio Gibson RB | NE
Football Team's Antonio Gibson: Status changed to questionable
Gibson (shin) is now listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Kansas City, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
The final injury report apparently wasn't quite final, with the team updating it after about 20 minutes to list Gibson as questionable rather than with no designation. He's nonetheless expected to continue playing through a shin fracture, just as he did the past two weeks when listed as questionable. Still, cautious fantasy managers should check back in to be safe when Washington releases its inactive list at 11:30 a.m. ET this Sunday.

Alexander Mattison RB | MIA
Vikings' Alexander Mattison: Sheds injury designation
Mattison (shoulder) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Panthers, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Dalvin Cook (ankle) also has been cleared, so Mattison likely will be relegated to a backup role. Mattison has eclipsed 100 rushing yards in both spot starts when Cook has sat out this season. Given Mattison's effectiveness and Cook's fragile health, Minnesota may opt to give Mattison a more significant share of the workload than he previously had been receiving with both running backs healthy.

Antonio Gibson RB | NE
Football Team's Antonio Gibson: Cleared to play
Gibson (shin) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Kansas City, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
He'll continue playing through a hairline fracture, having said himself that the injury isn't really bothering him, though it has limited his practice participation in recent weeks. Gibson took 34 carries for 123 yards and three touchdowns over his past two games, and he could be the clear centerpiece of Washington's offense come Sunday if WR Terry McLaurin (Q/hamstring) is absent or limited. The Chiefs rank bottom five in most efficiency metrics for both pass defense and run defense.

Jamaal Williams RB | NO
Lions' Jamaal Williams: Returns to practice
Williams (hip/illness) returned to practice Friday, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
A hip injury has kept Williams as a limited participant the past two weeks, while an illness caused him to miss Thursday's practice entirely. His return to the field Friday suggests he'll play through the hip injury again this Sunday against the Bengals, working in tandem with D'Andre Swift in the Detroit backfield.
