  • Travis Homer RB | PIT

Seahawks' Travis Homer: Listed as full on practice estimate

Homer (calf) was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's estimated injury report, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Homer managed only one limited practice last week before the Seahawks ruled him out ahead of a Week 12 road matchup with Washington. The calf injury was to blame, but he would have taken every rep if Seattle had held practice Wednesday. Assuming he maintains his activity level through Friday, Homer would join DeeJay Dallas and potentially Rashaad Penny (hamstring) behind starting running back Alex Collins (abdomen) for this weekend's game versus the 49ers. It should be noted that the Seahawks signed Adrian Peterson to the practice squad Wednesday, so he and undrafted rookie Josh Johnson are candidates to be elevated for game days.

  • Rashaad Penny RB | CAR

    Seahawks' Rashaad Penny: Limited Wednesday

Penny (hamstring) was listed as limited on Wednesday's injury report, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

The oft-injured Penny hurt his hamstring Week 11 and sat out Week 12, but head coach Pete Carroll told Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times on Wednesday that the running back may be able to return for Sunday's game against the 49ers. That's quite the change in status after Penny seemingly poised to head to injured reserve just last week. In any case, he would put himself in a better spot to be active again by taking part in more than a walk-through session -- which the Seahawks held Wednesday -- on Thursday and/or Friday.

  • Bears' Damien Williams: Remains unable to practice

    Williams (calf) didn't practice Wednesday.

On the bright side, Williams is now listed with only a calf injury after previously having a knee injury. He's looking to put an end to a three-game absence Sunday against Arizona, but Williams will likely need to practice in some capacity Thursday or Friday to have a legitimate chance at playing.

  • 49ers' JaMycal Hasty: Limited Wednesday

Hasty (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Hasty already has logged a pair of three-game absences this season, but he may be setting himself up for a return following Wednesday's practice. The 49ers could certainly use Hasty as another depth option in a backfield with Raheem Mostert (knee) out for the season and Trey Sermon potentially headed for injured reserve due to a sprained ankle. Having said that, Elijah Mitchell is the 49ers' clear lead runner, and Jeff Wilson also is around for complementary work whenever Hasty is deemed ready to play again.

  • Jaguars' James Robinson: Practices in limited fashion

Robinson (heel/knee) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice.

Robinson continues to deal with the two injuries, but the fact he was able to practice Wednesday in some fashion indicates he didn't aggravate anything during Sunday's loss to the Falcons. The 23-year-old has avoided an injury designation the past few games despite starting each week with limitations, and he may be on a similar track Week 13.

  • Boston Scott RB | PIT

Eagles' Boston Scott: Misses practice with illness

Scott didn't practice Wednesday due to an illness.

He'll likely have time to get healthy before Sunday's game against the Jets, but Scott's absence to begin Week 13 prep adds another layer of intrigue to the Eagles' backfield situation heading into that contest. Scott dominated the backfield touches after Miles Sanders' (ankle) early exit from last week's 13-7 loss to the Giants, but Scott lost a crucial fumble late in the game, and Sanders then managed to practice Wednesday (albeit on a limited basis). Meanwhile, Jordan Howard (knee) missed another practice and seems least likely of the trio to play, leaving rookie Kenneth Gainwell as the only healthy back on the roster as of Wednesday. There's a scenario where Scott handles the lead role this week, if he recovers from the illness and if Sanders fails to overcome the ankle injury. The Eagles' injury reports Thursday and Friday should help sort out the mess.

  • Dalvin Cook RB | DAL

Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Listed as non-participant Wednesday

Cook (shoulder) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated injury report.

Considering he's tending to a dislocated left shoulder, Cook wouldn't have been on the field if the Vikings held an actual practice. There's an expectation that the injury will force him to miss the next two games, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, but head coach Mike Zimmer offered a softer tone Monday, calling the running back day-to-day, per Eric Smith of the Vikings' official site. Despite Zimmer's lack of commitment on Cook's status, the running back appears as if he'll be ruled out for game action by week's end. Assuming Cook doesn't play Sunday in Detroit, Alexander Mattison will be the primary runner out of Minnesota's backfield, with rookie Kene Nwangwu available for complementary work.

  • Miles Sanders RB | DAL

Eagles' Miles Sanders: Practices on limited basis

Sanders (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, while backfield mates Boston Scott (illness) and Jordan Howard (knee) sat out the session.

Things have quickly turned in Sanders' favor since he sat out the fourth quarter of Sunday's 13-7 loss to the Giants with an ankle injury, though he's still likely to share snaps and carries if he ends up playing this week, given that Scott is reportedly dealing with a non-COVID-19 illness and rookie Kenneth Gainwell remains healthy. The Eagles face the Jets on Sunday, providing a favorable matchup for whichever running backs end up playing and getting touches.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Questionable for Week 13

Kamara (knee) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Cowboys.

Kamara maintained limited listings on all three of the Saints' Week 13 injury reports as he attempts to make his way back from an MCL sprain that has forced him to miss the past three contests. At the same time, Mark Ingram (knee) was a full participant Monday through Wednesday and is ready to handle as many backfield reps as needed if Kamara has to sit out a fourth consecutive game. The Saints will reveal Kamara's availability about 90 minutes before Thursday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Saquon Barkley RB | PHI

Giants' Saquon Barkley: Not on injury report

Barkley isn't listed on the Giants' Week 13 injury report, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

While his production has been lackluster in his first two contests back from a five-week stint on injured reserve, Barkley has quickly reclaimed his usual three-down role out of the backfield, playing 62 percent of the GIants' offensive snaps Week 11 and then 87 percent Week 12. He's set for a full workload Sunday in Miami, serving as the centerpiece of a struggling, injury-riddled offense that may have Mike Glennon filling in at quarterback for the injured Daniel Jones (neck).
