Chase Edmonds RB | WAS
Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Expected back Week 14
Head coach Kliff Kingsbury anticipates Edmonds (ankle) returning for a Week 14 matchup with the Rams on Dec. 13, Bob McManaman of the Arizona Republic reports.
At that point, Edmonds will be five weeks removed from the initial injury, a high-ankle sprain he suffered on the first snap of a Week 9 loss to the 49ers. He then missed the Cardinals' following two games before their Week 12 bye, and he'll be out again Week 13 in Chicago, giving James Conner at least one more game in a dominant role. After that, it'll likely be back to a timeshare out of the backfield once Edmonds is deemed healthy.

Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Broncos' Melvin Gordon: Not practicing Wednesday
Gordon won't practice Wednesday due to hip and shoulder injuries, George Stoia III of The Denver Gazette reports.
While Gordon is evidently banged up following the Broncos' Week 12 win over the Chargers, head coach Vic Fangio suggested that the running back will have a chance to make it back to practice Thursday, per Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site. If that happens, Gordon would presumably be on track to suit up Sunday against Kansas City and work in tandem with fellow running back Javonte Williams.

D'Andre Swift RB | CHI
Lions' D'Andre Swift: Could sit out multiple games
Swift (shoulder) didn't practice Wednesday and could miss multiple games, though he wants to return in short order, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Swift is reportedly dealing with an AC joint sprain, an injury that could prompt the winless Lions to take a cautious approach with one of their few core players until his shoulder heals. Though Swift hasn't been ruled out from playing in Sunday's game against the Vikings, he seems more likely than not to miss his first contest of the season. If that's the case, Jamaal Williams would be in store for a lead role Sunday, with rookie Jermar Jefferson and 27-year-old journeyman Godwin Igwebuike representing the depth options currently on the active roster.

Antonio Gibson RB | NE
Football Team's Antonio Gibson: Limited in practice, per usual
Gibson (shin) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Gibson continues to log limited practices while playing through a stress fracture of his shin, but it hasn't prevented him from taking on a sizable workload of late. Over each of the past three games, Gibson has handled 19 or more carries, including a 36-touch effort with 146 total yards in Mondays 17-15 win over Seattle. Matching that sort of volume is a tall task, but Gibson could take on another larger-than-usual snap share Sunday in Las Vegas, as passing-down back J.D. McKissic missed Wednesday's practice after suffering a concussion Monday.

Qadree Ollison RB | PIT
Qadree Ollison: Healthy again
Ollison (illness) is back to full health as the Falcons prepare for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Ollison was unavailable Week 12, after being called up from the practice squad (and leading the team with nine carries) the week before in a loss to New England. Of course, Cordarrelle Patterson sat out against the Patriots and then returned for Sunday's win over the Jaguars, so it isn't clear Ollison would have had a role even if he had been healthy this past weekend. Head coach Arthur Smith mentioned after the Week 11 game that he wanted to get Ollison more carries, though Smith may have just meant while Patterson was out. It remains to be seen if Ollison will be summoned from the practice squad to replace a struggling Mike Davis as Atlanta's No. 2 back behind Patterson down the stretch.

Royce Freeman RB | CHI
Texans' Royce Freeman: Gets work on special teams
Freeman was active for the Texans' Week 12 loss the Jets and was limited to five snaps on special teams.
Freeman made his Houston debut after being claimed off waivers from Carolina in early November. He was active for the first time after the Texans waived Phillip Lindsay earlier in the week, leaving Freeman third on the depth chart behind Rex Burkhead and David Johnson. As the youngest back on the active roster for a team that's 2-9, Freeman could work his way into the rotation if the Texans are serious about developing younger players, but he may eventually drop to fourth on the depth chart if Scottie Phillips (ankle) returns from injured reserve later this season.

Ty'Son Williams RB | ARI
Ravens' Ty'Son Williams: Carries once in win
Williams recorded one carry for one yard and failed to catch his lone target in Sunday's 16-10 win over the Browns.
Williams continues to be an afterthought for the Ravens, as he played just two snaps in the game despite having recently moved up to third on the depth chart following the release of Le'Veon Bell. Veterans Devonta Freeman and Latavius Murray are splitting the workload at running back, leaving little opportunity for Williams.

Devine Ozigbo RB | DET
Devine Ozigbo: Joins Pats' practice squad
The Patriots have signed Ozigbo to their practice squad.
Ozigbo has previously played for the Jaguars and Saints, and was just released by Jacksonville on Nov. 27. Overall, he has only played in three NFL games. The 25-year-old will now look to make an impression on the team's practice squad.
-
Jonathan Ward RB | NE
Cardinals' Jonathan Ward: Lands on COVID list
The Cardinals have placed Ward (concussion) on their reserve/COVID-19 list, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Ward has been sidelined since sustaining a concussion in Week 8. The Cardinals are coming off a bye week, and it is unclear if he was nearing a potential return on that front. Regardless, he will now be sidelined at least until he can clear the league's COVID protocols. As a result, James Conner and Eno Benjamin remain the team's only healthy backs.

Alex Armah FB | WAS
Alex Armah: Waived by Saints
Armah was waived by the Saints on Tuesday, Katherine Terrell of The Athletic reports.
Armah was inactive for the Saints' Week 12 31-6 loss to Buffalo via a coach's decision. He will presumably be a prime candidate to revert to the team's practice squad should he end up clearing waivers. The Saints will now opt to go without a fullback for the immediate future.
