Rashaad Penny RB | CAR
Seahawks' Rashaad Penny: Leads backfield in snaps
Penny rushed 10 times for 35 yards and caught his lone target for 27 yards in Sunday's 30-23 loss to the 49ers.
Penny led the Seahawks' committee backfield with a season-high 40 percent snap share, playing more than Travis Homer (30 percent) and Adrian Peterson (27 percent). The 2018 first-round pick wasn't very efficient on the ground, and his longest run was for 11 yards. Alex Collins (abdomen) is expected to return Week 14 against the Texans, and it's unclear where Penny will fit in moving forward, especially with Peterson settling into the offense.

Travis Homer RB | PIT
Seahawks' Travis Homer: Scores on fake punt
Homer rushed three times for 80 yards and a touchdown and caught four of five targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 30-23 win over the 49ers.
After failing to get a first down on the opening drive, the Seahawks ran a fake punt where Homer took a direct snap and ran 73 yards to the house. The third-year running back showed off his speed and open-field awareness in the process. Homer also recorded a 30 percent snap share, finishing ahead of Adrian Peterson (27 percent) but behind Rashaad Penny (40 percent). Even with the explosive play. Homer's rest-of-season outlook isn't fantasy relevant. He'll likely lose snaps next week with Alex Collins (abdomen) expected back.

Jacques Patrick RB | NYJ
Jacques Patrick: Joining Panthers' practice squad
Patrick will sign with the Panthers' practice squad Monday, Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus reports.
Patrick spent time with the 49ers earlier in the year but was released from the team's practice squad in early November. The 24-year-old has rushed twice for 12 yards across two regular-season appearances this season, and he'll now attempt to carve out a role in Carolina.

Boston Scott RB | PIT
Eagles' Boston Scott: Limited playing time Sunday
Scott played just three offensive snaps in Sunday's 33-18 win over the Jets.
Scott was unable to practice this week due to a non-COVID illness. Even though Miles Sanders aggravated his ankle injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's matchup, Scott had minimal playing time against the Jets. The 26-year-old will be able to work on his conditioning during the Eagles' Week 14 bye, but his role for the team's Week 15 matchup against Washington likely depends on whether Sanders and Jordan Howard (knee) are available.

Austin Walter RB | LV
Jets' Austin Walter: Three touches against Philly
Walter rushed once for two yards and caught both of his targets for nine yards in Sunday's 33-18 loss to the Eagles.
Elevated from the practice squad for a second consecutive week, Walter saw limited work while Tevin Coleman dominated touches in the Jets' backfield with Michael Carter (ankle) on the shelf. In addition to his three touches, Walter also pitched the ball back to Zach Wilson on a flea flicker that turned into a 14-yard pass to Ryan Griffin. After elevating Walter twice, the Jets will have to sign him to the active roster if they want to use him again in game action this season.
-
Benny Snell RB | DET
Steelers' Benny Snell: Musters 13 yards in win
Snell rushed twice for 13 yards in Sunday's 20-19 win over the Ravens.
Snell recorded double-digit yardage for the second time this season in Sunday's win, but his workload remained limited behind lead back Najee Harris. Snell played just two offensive snaps and has been a non-factor for the Steelers as depth at running back.
-
Jaret Patterson RB | LAC
Football Team's Jaret Patterson: No extra work sans McKissic
Patterson took one carry for two yards in Sunday's 17-15 win over Las Vegas, playing four snaps on offense.
Patterson and Wendell Smallwood (five snaps, three touches) barely played behind Antonio Gibson, whose 82 percent snap share was easily a season high. It doesn't appear Patterson will get extra touches even if J.D. McKissic (concussion) misses more time, as the undrafted rookie has merely been used as Gibson's sub for early downs so far.
-
Royce Freeman RB | CHI
Texans' Royce Freeman: Steps up as second back
Freeman had three carries for 10 yards and caught his lone target for 11 yards in Sunday's 31-0 loss to the Colts.
Freeman, who moved up the depth chart after the Texans made David Johnson (illness) inactive for the game, played 22 snaps in his most significant contribution since being claimed off waivers in early November. He served as the No. 2 back behind Rex Burkhead. It was Freeman's second game as part of the active roster and first time getting work on offense. The Texans may give him, along with Jaylen Samuels, more work in the coming weeks as the organization focuses on its 2022 roster.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB | KC
Chiefs' Clyde Edwards-Helaire: Totals 82 yards in win
Edwards-Helaire (illness) rushed 14 times for 54 yards and had three receptions for 28 yards in Sunday's 22-9 win over the Broncos.
Edwards-Helaire was questionable leading up to Sunday with a non-COVID illness, but he was able to shake the ailment and start for the Chiefs. The 22-year-old continued to serve as lead back, out-touching Darrel Williams 17 to eight in a scrappy victory. Edwards-Helaire will look to break the century mark in total yards for the first time since Week 4 in a tasty matchup against the Raiders (21.1 fantasy points per game allowed to opposing running backs this year) next Sunday.

Javonte Williams RB | DAL
Broncos' Javonte Williams: Excels as lead back
Williams rushed 23 times for 102 yards and corralled six of nine targets for 76 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 22-9 loss to Kansas City.
Melvin Gordon (hip) missed his first game of the season, opening the door for Williams to shine on the national stage. The 2021 second-round pick set a season high of 178 total yards while dominating the backfield touches (29 of 34). Williams has been a solid fantasy contributor while splitting time with Gordon this year, but he finally got to show the world that he can handle a lead-back role -- at least for one week. Gordon's status for next Sunday's matchup against the Lions is unclear at the moment, but Williams would see a significant boost in value if he was the Broncos' lone back next week. If Gordon does suit up, both players will have appeal in a favorable matchup against Detroit's shoddy defense.
