  • Football Team's Antonio Gibson: Game-time call Sunday night

Gibson (toe) is a game-time decision for Sunday night's game against the Cowboys, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Though Gibson didn't practice this past week due to a toe injury, Rapoport suggests that there's some optimism the running back could be able to give it a go. Given that Washington kicks off at 8:20 ET on Sunday, ideally those considering Gibson in Week 16 lineups would have alternatives available. Options include running backs from Dallas, Miami, New Orleans and those behind Gibson on Washington's depth chart, starting with Jaret Patterson.

  • Damien Harris RB | BUF

Patriots' Damien Harris: Expected to play Sunday

Harris (hamstring), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills, is expected to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Harris, who last suited up Week 13, was limited in practices Wednesday through Friday. Assuming Harris avoids the inactive list, he should log as much early down work as he can handle, with Rhamondre Stevenson (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Meanwhile Brandon Bolden (knee), who is listed as questionable, is in line to work in a change-of-pace role, if active, ahead of the 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Colts' Nyheim Hines: Another sparse outing

Hines recorded three carries for 11 yards, one catch (on one target) for seven yards and one kick return for 16 yards during Saturday's 22-16 win at Arizona.

Per usual, Jonathan Taylor dominated the Colts backfield, compiling 27 carries and going without a catch on two targets. In 13 contests prior to the team's bye week, Hines averaged 6.4 touches per game, but he's totaled just five touches in two outings since then. Considering the negligible recent workload, it's tough to rely on much, if any, production from Hines during the stretch run of the season.

  • Chase Edmonds RB | WAS

Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Fruitful performance sans Conner

Edmonds tallied 16 carries for 56 yards and one touchdown and gathered in eight of nine targets for 71 yards during Saturday's 22-16 defeat to the Colts.

With James Conner unable to play through a heel injury, Edmonds was thrust into a major role out of the Cardinals backfield, earning his highest touch count of the season. The result was Edmonds' third outing of the campaign with at least 100 yards from scrimmage, but it was his first since Week 4. Additionally, he visited the end zone for just the second time through 11 appearances. His week-to-week usage likely depends on the availability of Conner, but as long as the latter is banged up, Edmonds should be in line for a larger share of the RB reps.

  • Justice Hill RB | BAL

Ravens' Justice Hill: Shifts to COVID list

Hill (knee) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Hill was already on IR and out for the season due to a torn ACL suffered in training camp. While on the COVID list, Hill will not be able to rehab his injury at the Ravens' facilities. He'll hope to clear COVID protocols somewhat quickly so he can continue to prepare for a return in 2022.

  • Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Logs another 100-yard effort

Taylor rushed 27 times for 108 yards and didn't haul in either of his targets during Saturday's 22-16 win at Arizona.

The Cardinals did a decent job of bottling up Taylor outside of a 43-yard run on the Colts' first snap from scrimmage. That long play aside, he managed just 2.5 yards on his remaining carries, but he still reached the 100-yard milestone on the ground for the ninth occasion this season. Indianapolis has happened to log a victory each time Taylor has done just that, which clearly is its recipe for success. He'll aim to keep the momentum Sunday, Jan. 2 against a Raiders run defense that ranks 25th in the NFL (122.7 yards per game).

  • Buccaneers' Kenjon Barner: Up to active roster

The Buccaneers elevated Barner from the practice squad Saturday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.

Tampa Bay currently is short-handed in the backfield with Leonard Fournette (hamstring) and Giovani Bernard (hip) on injured reserve. Ronald Jones is expected to take on the bulk of the touches afforded the team's running backs, and Ke'Shawn Vaughn and Le'Veon Bell likely are the reserve options that'll see snaps when Jones comes off the field. As a result, Barner is poised for special-teams work Sunday at Carolina, if he's active.

  • AJ Dillon RB | CAR

Packers' AJ Dillon: Solid complementary performance

Dillon rushed nine times for 41 yards and secured all three of his targets for 15 yards in the Packers' 24-22 win over the Browns on Saturday.

Dillon operated in his usual complementary role with efficacy, averaging 4.6 yards per carry and also recording the third-highest reception tally on the evening for Green Bay. Dillon does have back-to-back single-digit carry tallies, capping his fantasy value somewhat heading into a Week 17 home date against the Vikings.

  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Packers' Aaron Jones: Generates 87 total yards in win

Jones rushed 12 times for 66 yards and secured five of six targets in 21 yards in the Packers' 24-22 win over the Browns on Saturday.

Jones' carry and rushing yardage totals paced the Packers, and he also checked in second in receptions to Davante Adams. The 27-year-old hasn't seen as much as 15 carries in a game since Week 8, but he's supplementing his fantasy production consistently with a serviceable pass-catching role. Jones now has three straight multi-reception tallies heading into a Week 17 home battle against the Vikings.

  • Nick Chubb RB | HOU

Browns' Nick Chubb: Big game at Lambeau

Chubb ran for 126 yards and one touchdown on 17 carries and caught three passes for 58 yards on four targets against Green Bay on Saturday.

Chubb managed to stay involved despite the Browns trailing the vast majority of the game, providing consistently explosive production both as a runner and receiver. While Kareem Hunt tends to handle Cleveland's passing down work when healthy, this showing from Chubb is a reminder that he poses a formidable pass-catching threat in his own right when the opportunity is there. The Browns face the Steelers next, and their run defense has generally struggled in 2021.
