  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: No timeline to return

Coach Ron Rivera said Tuesday that the Commanders don't have a timetable for Robinson's recovery from the wounds he sustained during an attempted robbery Sunday in Washington, D.C., John Keim of ESPN.com reports.

Robinson was shot twice in his lower extremities during the incident, undergoing surgery and eventually getting released from the hospital Monday. Rivera noted that Robinson didn't suffer any structural damage, and the running back also met with team doctors at the Commanders' facilities Tuesday.

  • J.J. Taylor RB | HOU

J.J. Taylor: Cut by New England

The Patriots will waive Taylor on Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

In addition to Taylor, fellow running back Kevin Harris will be waived, which suggests that Ty Montgomery's ankle issue may not be a long-term concern. As for Taylor, he'll likely be a practice-squad candidate or an option to rejoin the Patriots' post-cutdown roster, assuming he clears waivers.

  • John Kelly RB | CLE

    John Kelly: Cut by Cleveland

The Browns waived Kelly on Tuesday, Anthony Poisal of the team's official site reports.

Kelly appeared in four games with the Browns last season, and he handled a notable workload in the preseason, but he never had a clear path to earning a spot in Cleveland's exceptionally deep running back room. However, the team could make it a priority to stash Kelly on the practice squad if no other team offers him an active roster spot.

  • Bryant Koback RB | SEA

Bryant Koback: Let go by Vikings

Koback was waived by the Vikings on Tuesday, Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus reports.

Koback was signed by the Vikings in May after going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft, but he failed to make their final roster. The running back will likely return to the Vikings' practice squad if he clears waivers.

  • Kevin Harris RB | JAC

Kevin Harris: Let go by New England

The Patriots will waive Harris on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Though the 2022 sixth-round pick isn't in line to be included on the Patriots' initial 53-man roster, Harris is a candidate to land on the team's practice squad if he clears waivers.

  • JaMycal Hasty: Let go by 49ers

Hasty was waived by the 49ers on Tuesday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.

Hasty failed to make the 49ers' final roster for 2022 after serving as the team's primary third down running back last season. The 25-year-old played in 11 games in 2021, rushing for 68 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries while reeling in 23 passes for 157 receiving yards. Hasty will likely join the 49ers' practice squad if he goes unclaimed on waivers.

  • Ty'Son Williams: Waived by Indy

The Colts waived Williams on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.

Williams garnered a small role for the Colts during the preseason and, aside from a 15-yard receiving touchdown in Week 2, didn't produce substantial statistics. He finds himself among a wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline, but if he clears waivers, he's expected to sign a practice squad deal with Indianapolis.

  • Jaret Patterson: Waived by Commanders

Patterson was waived by the Commanders on Tuesday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.

Patterson had a strong preseason, rushing for 63 yards and a score on 16 carries while also catching five passes for 47 yards over three games. In the end though, he failed to make the Commanders' final roster and could end up on a new squad. With Brian Robinson (lower body) out for the foreseeable future, it's possible that Patterson returns to the Commanders' practice squad and gets elevated at some point early in the season.

  • Max Borghi RB | PIT

    Max Borghi: Waived by Steelers

Borghi was waived by the Steelers on Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

Borghi joined the Steelers on Aug. 18 after being waived by the Broncos, but he will now look for another opportunity elsewhere. The running back had one carry for one yard this preseason and will likely start the 2022 campaign on some team's practice squad.

  • Patrick Laird: Waived by Buccaneers

Laird was waived by the Buccaneers on Tuesday, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.

Laird failed to make the Buccaneers' final roster after joining the team mid-camp this summer. The running back produced 35 rushing yards on 13 carries and caught four passes for 20 yards while playing in two games this preseason. Laird is a top candidate to join the Buccaneers' practice squad if he passes through waivers unclaimed.
