Aaron Shampklin RB | MIA
Aaron Shampklin: Waived with injury designation
The Cowboys waived Shampklin (ankle) with an injury designation Tuesday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Shampklin recorded 54 rushing yards and 13 attempts before suffering the injury during Friday's preseason finale. The Harvard product will revert to the Cowboys' injured reserve list if he clears waivers, which -- barring an injury settlement -- would end his 2022 campaign.

Tyler Goodson RB | ATL
Tyler Goodson: Let go by Green Bay
The Packers waived Goodson on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Goodson signed with the Packers in May as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa, where he rushed for 2,551 yards and 18 touchdowns across three seasons. With Kylin Hill (knee) sidelined, Goodson and Patrick Taylor dueled during the preseason for the No. 3 spot behind Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon. Goodson did his best to earn the gig, totaling 29 rushes for 107 yards and one score across three exhibition contests. He also caught eight passes for 60 yards. However, the Iowa product still couldn't earn a spot on the Packers' initial 53-man roster. Nonetheless, per Rapoport, Green Bay wants him back on a practice squad deal, but it's unclear if he'll clear waivers after his promising preseason performances.

Brian Robinson Jr. RB | ATL
Commanders' Brian Robinson: Released from hospital
Robinson was released from the hospital Monday, one day after being shot twice in the leg, ESPN's John Keim reports.
Robinson was the victim of an armed robbery attempt in Washington D.C. early Sunday evening. He'll meet with team doctors Tuesday now that he's been released from the hospital.

Jashaun Corbin RB | NE
Jashaun Corbin: Waived by Giants
Corbin was waived by the Giants on Tuesday, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Corbin turned 21 carries into 73 yards and two touchdowns while also turning 14 catches into 76 yards, but he will ultimately fail to make the final roster. The dynamic running back will likely find a new suitor for his talents in the near future.

Qadree Ollison RB | PIT
Qadree Ollison: Waived by Atlanta
The Falcons waived Ollison on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Ollison was always a long shot to make the initial 53-man roster after the team added Damien Williams in free agency, drafted Tyler Allgeier in the third round and converted return specialist Avery Williams to running back. All three of those ball carriers are expected to compete for touches behind Cordarrelle Patterson, who burst onto the scene last year with a strong start to the campaign. Ollison has been with Atlanta's organization since he was drafted in the fifth round of the 2019 Draft, so it's possible the Falcons bring him back on a practice squad deal if he clears waivers.

D'vonte Price RB | IND
D'Vonte Price: Waived by Indy
The Colts waived Price on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Price signed with the Colts in May as an undrafted free agent out of Florida International, where he ran 129 times for 682 touchdowns during his final collegiate campaign. However, he failed to make a major impact during preseason and now finds himself among a wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline.

Raheem Blackshear RB | NYJ
Raheem Blackshear: Waived by Buffalo
The Bills are waiving Blackshear, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The undrafted rookie out of Virginia Tech could get a look elsewhere or on Buffalo's practice squad after piling up 209 scrimmage yards and two TDs in three preseason games. The Bills don't have room on their roster with Devin Singletary, James Cook and Zack Moss all making it through the preseason healthy.

Ronald Jones RB | DAL
Chiefs' Ronald Jones: Earns spot on initial 53-man roster
Jones has a spot on Kansas City's initial 53-man roster, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
The team will likely start off with four running backs, also rostering Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Jerick McKinnon and Isiah Pacheco. They could still cut that down to three before Week 1, but it appears Jones has a spot for the time being, even if it's possibly at the bottom of the depth chart. The former Buccaneer reportedly was on the bubble but won Kansas City's coaching staff over with a strong showing in the final preseason game.

Kenyan Drake RB | GB
Kenyan Drake: Expected to join Ravens
The Ravens are hosting Drake for a visit, after which he's expected to sign with the team, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Given the degree of uncertainty as to whether J.K. Dobbins (knee) will be ready for Week 1 and the fact Gus Edwards (knee) is out for at least first four games of the season, adding Drake would provide the Ravens with another capable backfield option. Also currently in the team's depth RB mix are Mike Davis, Justice Hill and Tyler Badie.

Patrick Laird RB | TB
Buccaneers' Patrick Laird: Heavily featured in finale
Laird rushed 12 times for 35 yards and secured all three targets for 19 yards in the Buccaneers' 27-10 preseason loss to the Colts on Saturday night.
Laird was thought to be a borderline camp body when he signed Aug. 15, but the combination of his extended look Saturday and the lingering absence of Giovani Bernard (ankle) arguably leaves open the possibility the Buccaneers are at least contemplating the former as a possible No. 4 back. Greg Auman of The Athletic notes Bernard is guaranteed $895,000 if he's still with the team Week 1, and Laird is also three years younger than his 30-year-old veteran teammate while boasting solid pass-catching skills in his own right. The immediate fate of both players will be known soon enough considering Tuesday's 4pm ET 53-man roster deadline, and Laird is still probably a much likelier candidate for the practice squad than the active roster.
