Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Big workload with mediocre results
Jacobs ran for 69 yard on 19 carries against Arizona on Sunday, adding a 12-yard catch on one target.
Jacobs' workload was reassuring in this game, as Zamir White saw just one carry and Ameer Abdullah logged just one target. Unfortunately for Jacobs' fantasy investors, his next matchup is a road game against the Titans, a defense that could prove to be a more challenging matchup than the Cardinals were.

Jonathan Taylor RB | IND
Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Limited volume in blowout loss
Taylor carried the ball nine times for 54 yards in Sunday's 24-0 loss to the Jaguars. He added one reception for nine yards.
Taylor was scripted out of making an impact in the loss, as the Colts ran only 48 offensive plays and Matt Ryan took to the air 30 times. Even with the limited opportunity, Taylor made a pair of splash gains, tallying two rushes of 21 yards. While Taylor was able to overcome the poor offensive environment around him in Week 1, the Colts have been lackluster with Matt Ryan at the helm early on, which could ultimately cost Taylor opportunity moving forward.

Antonio Gibson RB | NE
Commanders' Antonio Gibson: Quiet besides fourth-quarter TD
Gibson rushed 14 times for 28 yards and a touchdown while catching two of four targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 36-27 loss to the Lions.
Gibson was bottled up for most of the game but salvaged his afternoon with a one-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Washington was playing catch-up all game but didn't utilize Gibson extensively as a pass catcher out of the backfield after he caught seven passes for 72 yards in the season opener. He remains locked into the lead role in the Commanders' backfield heading into a Week 3 matchup with the Eagles.

D'Andre Swift RB | CHI
Lions' D'Andre Swift: Totals 87 yards
Swift rushed five times for 56 yards while catching two of five targets for 31 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 36-27 win over Washington.
Playing through an ankle sprain, Swift was outpaced in carries by Jamaal Williams by a 12-5 margin and didn't seem to get his usual allotment of snaps. However, he still put together decent fantasy output on the back of two explosive plays, the first being a 50-yard scamper and the other a 22-yard touchdown catch. While it seems likely that Williams will remain heavily involved in the offense given Swift's durability issues, Swift will remain an elite fantasy play most weeks given his ability to produce big plays at a high rate. Up next is a Week 3 road matchup against the Vikings.

Travis Etienne RB | NO
Jaguars' Travis Etienne: Stuck in secondary role
Etienne carried the ball nine times for 20 yards in Sunday's 24-0 win over the Colts. He added three receptions for 33 yards.
Etienne was reportedly set to split the backfield with James Robinson, but that's not the way things played out on the field. Robinson out-touched Etienne 25-12, though Etienne did the better work as a receiver. Jacksonville has been surprisingly competitive through two weeks, but if they fall behind as expected in future matchups, Etienne may be in a better position to produce. He has five receptions for 51 yards as well as 67 yards on the ground through two games.

Kenyan Drake RB | GB
Ravens' Kenyan Drake: Comes up small against former team
Drake rushed six times for eight yards and was not targeted in the passing game during the Ravens' 42-38 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.
The veteran was thought to be poised for an expanded role Sunday with J.K. Dobbins (knee) being held out for another week, but it never materialized in the wild loss. In fairness, Drake wasn't alone in being stymied by the Dolphins' defensive front, as Mike Davis gained just four yards on five totes himself. Dobbins was able to practice in full leading up to Sunday, so it appears likely the third-year back will suit up Week 3 against the Patriots, which could relegate Drake to a minimal role or potentially even inactive status.
-
Raheem Mostert RB | LV
Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Impressive all-around effort Sunday
Mostert rushed 11 times for 51 yards and secured all three targets for 28 yards in the Dolphins' 42-38 win over the Ravens on Sunday.
The veteran running back's numbers naturally will be completely overshadowed by the otherworldly exploits of teammates Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, but there's plenty of encouragement to take from Mostert's performance as well. To begin with, Mostert saw a nice boost in touches after logging only six in the opener, and he also appeared to have some of his trademark explosiveness against a tough defense. Additionally, Mostert outpaced backfield mate Chase Edmonds by six rushes, and if the former is blessed with more of a favorable game script in a Week 3 matchup against the Bills at home, he could see a bigger workload, albeit in an even tougher matchup on paper.
-
James Robinson RB | NO
Jaguars' James Robinson: Dominates touches
Robinson carried the ball 23 times for 64 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-0 win over the Colts. He added two receptions for 14 yards.
Robinson was reportedly set to be in a timeshare with Travis Etienne, yet he earned 25 touches to Etienne's 12. Unfortunately, Robinson wasn't particularly efficient with his opportunity, though he did rip off a 37-yard touchdown run midway through the second quarter. Through two games, Robinson has clearly operated as the top back in Jacksonville's backfield and has 147 total yards and three touchdowns to show for it.

Michael Carter RB | TEN
Jets' Michael Carter: Out-touches Hall 12-8 in Week 2 win
Carter rushed seven times for 23 yards and caught all five of his targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 31-30 win over the Browns.
Carter got 12 touches to Breece Hall's eight, but Hall had the more productive afternoon, leading the team with 50 rushing yards and adding a receiving touchdown. Both dynamic young running backs should continue to play substantial roles in New York's offense against the Bengals in Week 3.
