  • Tony Jones RB | ARI

Saints' Tony Jones: Healthy scratch Sunday

Jones (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's contest at Carolina.

During Alvin Kamara's only appearance of the season Week 1, Jones was active but only earned one snap on offense. With Kamara out last Sunday against the Buccaneers due to a rib injury, Jones played 48 percent of the offensive snaps en route to four touches for 20 yards from scrimmage. Kamara is back in action this weekend, and with Mark Ingram also available, coach Dennis Allen has opted to keep Jones in street clothes this time around.

  • Kenyan Drake RB | GB

    Ravens' Kenyan Drake: Inactive Sunday

Drake is inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots.

With J.K. Dobbins back in action Sunday after missing Baltimore's first two games, Drake is the odd man out in the team's Week 3 backfield, which will also include Mike Davis and Justice Hill.

  • Ty Chandler RB | NO

Vikings' Ty Chandler: Inactive once again

Chandler (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Lions.

Chandler will have to wait another week to try and make his NFL debut, as he remains behind Dalvin Cook, Alexander Mattison and Kene Nwangwu on the depth chart. The rookie will keep working to push his way up the Vikings' ranks and earn a chance to suit up in Week 3 against the Lions.

  • Ronald Jones RB | DAL

Chiefs' Ronald Jones: Won't face Colts

Jones (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts.

Jones has been a healthy scratch for all three of the Chiefs' games this season. The backfield will remain the trio of Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Jerick McKinnon and Isiah Pacheco.

  • J.K. Dobbins RB | DEN

Ravens' J.K. Dobbins: Returns to action

Dobbins (knee) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Patriots.

Dobbins, who is bouncing back from a major knee injury that he suffered during Baltimore's 2021 preseason finale, participated fully in practices last week, but he was made inactive in Week 2 against the Dolphins as the team elected to proceed cautiously with the running back. With another week's worth of full practice participation under his belt, the 2020 second-rounder is now slated to make his season debut, though it's plausible he'll be eased back into the mix some in terms of snaps and carries, with Mike Davis and Justice Hill on hand to spell Dobbins and work in complementary roles in Week 3.

  • D'Andre Swift RB | CHI

Lions' D'Andre Swift: Set for Week 3 action

Swift (ankle) is active for Sunday's game in Minnesota.

Swift sprained his ankle in the season opener but still earned at least 50 percent of the offensive snaps both Weeks 1 and 2 en route to a combined 25 touches for 262 yards from scrimmage and two TDs. The output has been fueled by an uber-efficient 10 yards per carry and 12.4 yards per catch, and he now will set his sights on the Vikings' 29th-ranked defense (412 yards allowed per game).

  • Josh Jacobs RB | GB

Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Suits up Sunday

Jacobs (illness) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Titans.

Jacobs, who missed practice Thursday and Friday, didn't initially travel with the team, but he subsequently made his way to Nashville in advance of the contest. After testing things out in warmups, the Raiders' top back will give it a go Sunday. It remains to be seen if Jacobs will be limited at all in the contest, but when he needs a breather versus Tennessee, Brandon Bolden, Ameer Abdullah and Zamir White are on hand to absorb complementary snaps behind Jacobs, who has logged 29 carries for 126 yards and two catches for 28 yards through his first two games this season.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Returning to action Sunday

Kamara (ribs) is listed as active Sunday at Carolina.

After maintaining limited sessions during the entirety of Week 3 prep, Kamara will miss just one game as a result of a rib injury. While he handled a 63 percent share of the offensive snaps in the season opener, he was given only 12 touches, which he turned into 46 yards from scrimmage. There's a chance he yields some reps to Mark Ingram and perhaps Dwayne Washington out of the Saints backfield, but Kamara still should receive a majority share of the team's RB workload.

  • Josh Jacobs RB | GB

Raiders' Josh Jacobs: In line to play Sunday

Jacobs (illness, questionable) is on track to play Sunday against the Titans, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Official confirmation of Jacobs' Week 3 status will arrive upon the release of the Raiders' inactives ahead of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff, but it looks like they'll have their top back -- who missed practice Thursday and Friday -- available for Week 3 action. Through his first two contests, Jacobs has recorded 29 carries for 126 yards and two catches for 28 yards.

  • Josh Jacobs RB | GB

Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Sunday status TBD

Jacobs (illness, questionable) is in line to work out during pregame warmups to determine his availability for Sunday's game against the Titans, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Per Schefter, there is optimism that Jacobs -- who flew separately from the team to Tennessee ahead of the contest -- will be able to suit up, but a call on his Week 3 status won't be made until warmups in advance of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff. If Jacobs ends up out or limited, Brandon Bolden, Ameer Abdullah and Zamir White would be candidates to log added backfield work versus Tennessee.
