  • D'Andre Swift RB | CHI

Lions' D'Andre Swift: May miss time with shoulder sprain

Swift suffered a shoulder sprain during Sunday's 28-24 loss to the Vikings and could miss time, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Swift's injury isn't expected to require surgery, so he's dodged a worst-case scenario, but his availability for Week 4 versus the Seahawks looks uncertain to say the least. The third-year pro entered Sunday's loss already managing an ankle injury. More clarity on Swift's recovery timetable should arrive as the Lions monitor him throughout the upcoming week, but if he does miss time it would significantly improve the fantasy outlook for Jamaal Williams, who scored twice at Minnesota.

  • Tyler Allgeier RB | ARI

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Modest production in win

Allgeier tallied six rushes for 25 yards and hauled in his only target for five yards during Sunday's 27-23 victory over Seattle.

Allgeier played 21 offensive snaps, three more than last week when he made his season debut, but he saw three fewer touches, as Cordarrelle Patterson dominated the ground game. With Mike Davis (ribs) on IR, the rookie fifth-round pick has emerged as the top backup behind Patterson, while Avery Williams continues to operate in a limited role. Through his first two games, Allgeier has rushed 16 times for 55 yards (3.4 YPC).

  • DeeJay Dallas RB | JAC

Seahawks' DeeJay Dallas: Posts 38 yards

Dallas rushed three times for 21 yards and caught both of his targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Falcons. He also returned two kickoffs for 52 yards.

Dallas recorded a season-high 15 offensive snaps because Travis Homer (ribs) left early. If Homer misses any time, Dallas will continue to handle an increased role, specifically on passing downs. However, Rashaad Penny is still the No. 1 back and will be the Seahawks running back to target for the time being.

  • Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Puts up 33 total yards

Walker rushed three times for 19 yards and caught all three of his targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Falcons.

Walker played just nine offensive snaps, but it's encouraging that he got the ball on six of those plays. The rookie second-round pick had a 21-yard tout in the third quarter but didn't gain any ground on his other two carries. He was also effective as a checkdown option for quarterback Geno Smith. However, Rashaad Penny -- who played 69 percent of the snaps -- is still the clear No. 1 back, so fantasy managers need to exercise patience with Walker.

  • Jeff Wilson RB | MIA

49ers' Jeff Wilson: Loses fumble late

Wilson rushed 12 times for 75 yards while adding three receptions for 31 yards in Sunday's 11-10 loss to Denver.

Wilson had an impressive catch-and-run on the 49ers' final offensive drive, but he coughed up the rock near the first-down marker, effectively killing his team's comeback attempt. Other than the untimely fumble, the veteran back ran hard in his second start in place of the injured Elijah Mitchell (knee). The latter still has at least six weeks of recovery time left, and San Francisco is running out of healthy bodies in the backfield, so we can expect another heavy workload for Wilson against the Rams next Monday.

  • Broncos' Javonte Williams: Paces backfield with 58 yards

Williams rushed 15 times for 58 yards and caught three of five targets for two yards in Sunday's 11-10 win over the 49ers.

Williams put together another solid stat line alongside co-starter Melvin Gordon (18-17 total touch distribution), but it was the latter who was rewarded with a one-yard TD run to close out the win for Denver. The 22-year-old had an ugly drop that hit him in the hands, which further proves that his 11-catch performance back in Week 1 was an anomaly. Williams remains a high-floor, low-ceiling option heading into next Sunday's tilt against the Raiders.

  • Melvin Gordon RB | BAL

Broncos' Melvin Gordon: Touchdown saves inefficient line

Gordon rushed 12 times for 26 yards and a touchdown and caught five of six targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 11-10 win over San Francisco.

Gordon couldn't get anything going on the ground in comparison to co-starter Javonte Williams (15 carries for 58 yards), but it was the former who scored the Broncos' lone touchdown from one yard out in the fourth quarter. The veteran back continues to get double-digit touches while producing low-end fantasy lines. Both Gordon and Williams carry flex appeal heading into a favorable matchup against the Raiders next Sunday.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Shut down on ground Sunday

Mostert rushed eight times for 11 yards and failed to bring in either of his two targets in the Dolphins' 21-19 win over the Bills on Sunday. He also returned three kickoffs for 54 yards.

The usually efficient running back was anything but, running into a brick wall of a Bills defense on all but one of his carries. Mostert's long run went for nine yards, meaning he netted all of two yards on his seven other rushes. Backfield mate Chase Edmonds was a tad better with 3.5 yards per carry and also scored two touchdowns, but the split between the two figures to remain fairly close again in Thursday night's Week 4 road matchup against the Bengals.

  • Austin Ekeler RB | WAS

Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Absent on the ground

Ekeler carried the ball just four times for five yards and caught all eight of his targets for 48 yards in Sunday's 38-10 thrashing at the hands of the Jaguars.

The Chargers attempted just 11 designed runs as consecutive turnovers to begin the second quarter completely threw out the typical game plan. Sunday marked the first time since 2019 that Ekeler saw fewer than five carries in a game in which he was healthy throughout. It's hard to imagine such imbalance in future weeks, but it's clear the Chargers have focused on giving the star running back less carries in an effort to save him throughout the season. More opportunities both on the ground and through the air should be available in a Week 4 matchup against the Texans.

  • Bears' David Montgomery: Day-to-day per coach

Coach Matt Eberflus said Montgomery (knee/ankle) is day-to-day after exiting early in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Texans, Courtney Cronin of ESPN reports.

Eberflus described Montgomery's day-to-day label as a positive development after he was deemed doubtful to return during the game. Khalil Herbert rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns after replacing Montgomery, so Herbert has likely earned a more significant portion of the workload in Chicago's run-heavy offense moving forward even if Montgomery's ready to return as soon as Week 4 against the Giants.
