  • Isiah Pacheco RB | DET

Chiefs' Isiah Pacheco: Draws start, rushes for 43 yards

Pacheco rushed eight times for 43 yards in Sunday's 44-23 win over San Francisco. He was not targeted in the passing game.

Pacheco got the start over Clyde Edwards-Helaire (6-32-1) as previously reported, but it ended up being more of a committee approach with four non-QB Chiefs receiving two or more carries. The electric rookie actually finished with more carries in two previous games as a backup this season than he did in his first career start. The 23-year-old would need to see more than eight touches to become a reliable fantasy asset, but he should be rostered -- even with Kansas City's upcoming bye week -- after being named the starter on a potent offense. Pacheco and the Chiefs will take on the Titans on Nov. 6 in Week 9.

  • Austin Ekeler RB | WAS

Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Scores two TDs in Sunday's loss

Ekeler carried the ball nine times for 31 yards and a touchdown and caught all 12 of his targets for 96 yards and a second TD in Sunday's 37-23 loss to the Seahawks.

The running back did his best to keep the Chargers in the game after they faced a 17-0 deficit coming out of the first quarter, and Ekeler wound up leading the team in receptions, targets and receiving yards due to multiple injuries among the wideouts. He's topped 100 scrimmage yards in three of the last four games, piling up 300 rushing yards, 218 receiving yards and an incredible eight TDs (five rushing, three receiving) over that stretch, but Ekeler will be able to take a breather during Los Angeles' Week 8 bye.

  • Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Erupts against Chargers

Walker carried the ball 23 times for 168 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 37-23 win over the Chargers.

While he didn't see any action as a receiver, Walker didn't need to supplement his production on the ground. If there was a downside to his performance it's that he was tackled in the end zone for a safety early in the fourth quarter as Los Angeles looked to spark a comeback, but the rookie running back atoned with a 74-yard TD run about seven minutes later, putting the game out of reach. It was Walker's first career 100-yard game and first multi-TD effort, but it likely won't be his last in either category as the top back in a Pete Carroll offense. Walker will look to put together another big day in Week 8 against a Giants defense that just got gashed for 114 yards and a TD by the Jaguars' Travis Etienne.

  • 49ers' Christian McCaffrey: Receives 10 touches in SF debut

McCaffrey rushed eight times for 38 yards and caught both of his targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 44-23 loss to the Chiefs.

McCaffrey was just traded to San Francisco on Thursday, so his availability and usage was in question heading into this matchup. Once the dust settled, the dual-threat star wound up essentially splitting running back duties with Jeff Wilson (7-54-0), resulting in lackluster fantasy lines for both players. The good news for McCaffrey's managers moving forward is that the unique talent will have a full week of practice in Kyle Shanahan's offense leading up to an NFC West showdown against the Rams next Sunday.

  • Josh Jacobs RB | GB

Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Rumbles for three TDs

Jacobs carried the ball 20 times for 143 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 38-20 win over the Texans. He added three catches on four targets for 12 yards.

All three scores came in the second half as Las Vegas broke open what had been a 10-10 tie at halftime. Jacobs has topped 100 rushing yards in three straight games, becoming the first Raider to do so since 1997, and Sunday's 143 yards was actually his lowest output during that incredible stretch -- he's amassed a stunning 441 rushing yards, 82 receiving yards and six rushing TDs in those three contests. Jacobs will take all that momentum into a Week 8 clash with a New Orleans defense that just had trouble containing Arizona's Eno Benjamin on Thursday night.

  • Michael Carter RB | TEN

Jets' Michael Carter: Gets 15 touches with Hall injured

Carter rushed 13 times for 29 yards and caught both of his targets for 45 yards in Sunday's 16-9 win over the Broncos.

Both offenses struggled in this one, but the largest development for Carter was the exit of Breece Hall (knee) with what's feared to be a torn ACL. Carter took over as the primary running back after Hall's exit and failed to find much room on the ground but set up a field goal with a 37-yard catch. After getting no more than 12 touches in any of the previous five games, Carter will likely see significantly more usage in Week 8 against the Patriots and beyond with Hall sidelined.

  • Dameon Pierce RB | PHI

Texans' Dameon Pierce: Another 100-plus scrimmage yards

Pierce carried the ball 20 times for 92 yards and caught all four of his targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 38-20 loss to the Raiders.

While he was overshadowed by a huge performance from Las Vegas' Josh Jacobs, Pierce was still plenty productive, recording his fourth straight game with more than 100 yards from scrimmage. The rookie has 402 rushing yards, 68 receiving yards and three rushing TDs over that stretch, and he'll be the centerpiece of the Texans' offense again in Week 8 as they take on Derrick Henry and the Titans.

  • Joe Mixon RB | HOU

Bengals' Joe Mixon: Tallies 91 total yards

Mixon rushed the ball 17 times for 58 yards in Sunday's 35-17 win over the Falcons. He added three receptions for 33 yards.

Mixon accounted for 17 of Cincinnati's 18 carries by running backs, and five of his attempts came from inside Atlanta's 10-yard line. His inefficiencies on the ground -- his longest carry went for 11 yards and he averaged only 3.4 yards attempt -- were also tempered by his involvement in the passing game. While his role in Cincinnati's offense is unquestioned, Mixon has yet to top 85 rushing yards in a game this season and has not recorded a gain of more than 20 yards on the ground since Week 1.

  • Breece Hall RB | NYJ

Jets' Breece Hall: ACL tear feared

Hall's (knee) initial diagnosis "is not good," per coach Robert Saleh, and it's likely that the running back tore his ACL in Sunday's 16-9 win over the Broncos, Al Iannazzone of Newsday Sports reports.

If the feared torn ACL is confirmed, it would be a brutal loss for the Jets, as Hall had blossomed into one of the game's brightest stars at running back. Prior to getting hurt in the first half, he broke free for a 62-yard rushing touchdown to extend his touchdown streak to four games. Michael Carter took over as New York's lead back in Hall's absence, with Ty Johnson stepping into a change-of-pace role.

  • Mike Boone RB | MIA

    Broncos' Mike Boone: X-rays negative

Boone (ankle) underwent X-rays that came back negative after exiting Sunday's game against the Jets, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

While early reports on Boone's ankle injury are encouraging, he'll undergo an MRI on Monday to help pinpoint his diagnosis. If he's forced to miss additional time, Melvin Gordon and Latavius Murray should serve as the Broncos' top two running backs.
