Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Limited again Thursday
Jacobs (foot) remained limited at practice Thursday, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports.
Jacobs also was limited Wednesday, but so far there's been nothing to suggest that he's in danger of missing Sunday's game against the Saints. A return to a full practice Friday would support that notion and likely result in the running back heading into the weekend minus a Week 8 injury designation.

Darrel Williams RB | NO
Cardinals' Darrel Williams: Another limited showing
Williams (knee) practiced on a limited basis Thursday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Williams and No. 1 running back James Conner (ribs) are attempting to put an end to two-game absences due to their respective injuries. After both managed a pair of capped sessions so far this week, Arizona's backfield is drawing closer to some normalcy. Ultimately, Friday's practice report could reveal if one or both of Conner and Williams are able to join Eno Benjamin at the position Sunday in Minnesota. If all three are active, though, Williams seemingly would be relegated to the No. 3 spot behind Conner and Benjamin.

James Conner RB | ARI
Cardinals' James Conner: Stays limited at practice
Conner (ribs) was limited at Thursday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Conner has put together back-to-back capped sessions as he attempts to get past the rib injury that has sidelined him the last two games. Friday's practice report may provide a glimpse into the breakdown of Arizona's backfield ahead of Sunday's contest at Minnesota, with the statuses of both Conner and Darrel Williams (knee) up in the air. If the pair is active this weekend, Conner again may resume his standing as the team's lead runner, but he could yield reps to both Williams and Eno Benjamin.

Gus Edwards RB | LAC
Ravens' Gus Edwards: Expected to be active Thursday
Edwards (knee) is expected to play Thursday night against the Buccaneers, barring any pregame setbacks, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Per Schefter, the same goes for TE Mark Andrews and WR Rashod Bateman. The trio's Week 8 statuses are in line to be officially confirmed once the Ravens' inactives are posted in advance of Thursday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.

Jonathan Williams RB | WAS
Commanders' Jonathan Williams: Limited again Thursday
Williams (knee) was listed as a limited participant on the Commanders' injury report Thursday.
Williams has been sidelined with a knee injury over the past two weeks, though he did return to practice in a limited fashion Wednesday. The 28-year-old appears to be trending in the right direction after stringing together back-to-back limited sessions, and he'll have one more practice to improve his status before Sunday's game against the Colts. Williams has played 79 of his 88 snaps on special teams so far this season.

Raheem Mostert RB | LV
Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Logs limited practice Thursday
Mostert (knee) was limited at practice Thursday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
Mostert practiced fully Wednesday, so his addition to the Dolphins' Week 8 injury report is notable. That said, Mostert has been managing a knee issue the last couple of weeks, so his listed limitations Thursday may be maintenance-related rather than indicative of a setback. Friday's final practice report should add some clarity with regard to the running back's status for Sunday's game against the Lions.

Chuba Hubbard RB | CAR
Panthers' Chuba Hubbard: Sidelined for another practice
Hubbard (ankle) isn't practicing Thursday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Though previous reports suggested that Hubbard could have returned to last Sunday's win over the Buccaneers if needed after he sprained his ankle during the contest, the running back's absence from the Panthers' first two Week 8 practices suggests his injury may be more of a concern than originally believed. Hubbard will have a chance to factor into the Panthers' backfield rotation this Sunday in Atlanta if he's able to practice in some capacity Friday, but another missed workout would likely take him out of the mix. If Hubbard is sidelined Week 8, D'Onta Foreman would presumably have a clear path to the lead role on the ground as the Panthers play their second game since trading Christian McCaffrey away to San Francisco.

Ezekiel Elliott RB | LAC
Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Spectator for Thursday's practice
Elliott (knee/thigh) won't participate in Thursday's practice, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Instead, Elliott will take part in rehab work off on the side while he manages an MCL sprain in his right knee in addition to a thigh bruise. The historically durable Elliott won't necessarily need to practice to suit up Sunday against the Bears, but his lack of practice activity on consecutive days doesn't bode well for his chances of handling a normal workload even if he gains clearance for the Week 8 matchup. If that ends up being the case, Tony Pollard could be in line for his biggest workload of the campaign Sunday after having previously set season highs in snap share (63 percent) and touches (14) in Dallas' Week 7 win over Detroit.

D'Ernest Johnson RB | NE
Browns' D'Ernest Johnson: Could gain larger role soon
Johnson's role with the Browns could change as rumors pick up about the team trading Kareem Hunt before next Tuesday's 4:00 pm trade deadline, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
The report doesn't get into specific trade partners interested in Hunt, but Cleveland is reportedly seeking a fourth-round draft pick as a starting point for discussions. Both Johnson and Hunt are on expiring contracts, making each of them a possible trade piece. Hunt's role has dwindled the last two weeks -- he has a total of 10 touches Weeks 6 and 7 after averaging more than 11 per game over the first five weeks. If the Browns trade Hunt, Johnson would move up to second on the depth chart. If Johnson is traded, the team trading for him presumably would have a bigger role waiting for him. Per usual, Johnson is listed as third at running back on the Browns' unofficial depth chart and as the primary kickoff returner for Monday night's game against the Bengals.

Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Limited practice session Wednesday
Jacobs was a limited participant at practice Wednesday due to a foot injury, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports.
Jacobs is one of eight players listed as limited participants on the Raiders' first Week 8 practice report, but so far there's been nothing to suggest that his status for Sunday's game against the Saints is in danger. The lead back is coming off a big game Week 7 in which he ran 20 times for 143 yards and three touchdowns to go with three catches for 12 yards in a 38-20 win over the Texans.
