James Robinson RB | NO
Jets' James Robinson: Used sparingly in Jets debut
Robinson rushed five times for 17 yards and didn't catch his only target in Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Patriots.
Robinson didn't make much of an impact in his first game with the Jets, as New York went to a more pass-heavy game plan after losing running back Breece Hall to a season-ending ACL tear. As Robinson familiarizes himself with the offense, the trade acquisition from Jacksonville is likely to take on a larger role with his new team, but another negative game script could lead to limited rushing attempts in Week 9 against the Bills.

Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Quiet in defeat
Jacobs rushed 10 times for 43 yards and caught two of four targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 24-0 loss to the Saints.
Jacobs had a long rush of 16 yards help his efficiency, but it wasn't a very productive day overall for the tailback, as his team was shut out. Coming off three straight monster performances, Jacobs' stock came back to earth Sunday in a difficult matchup. On the bright side, Week 9's contest versus the Jaguars appears favorable for a Jacobs bounceback.

Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Scores three TDs
Kamara rushed 18 times for 62 yards and a touchdown while catching nine of 10 targets for 96 yards and two more scores in Sunday's 24-0 win over the Raiders.
Kamara broke his touchdown drought in spectacular fashion. He opened the scoring with a three-yard rush during the first quarter, then barreled through a number of Raiders defenders on a 16-yard touchdown catch later on. Shortly after halftime, he again struck through the air, scoring from 36 yards. In doing so, he posted new season highs in all major receiving categories. His huge performance Sunday gives Kamara's stock a nice boost ahead of Week 9's Monday night matchup versus the Ravens.

Tony Jones RB | ARI
Seahawks' Tony Jones: Healthy scratch Sunday
Jones (coach's decision) was ruled inactive ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants.
Jones signed with Seattle after being waived by the Saints on Oct. 8, though he has yet to see any action on offense with the Seahawks. The 24-year-old played 11 special-teams snaps over the past two weeks, and his next opportunity to play will come against the Cardinals on Sunday, Nov. 6.

Latavius Murray RB | BUF
Broncos' Latavius Murray: Leads Denver's backfield
Murray rushed the ball 14 times for 46 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-17 win over the Jaguars. He added one reception for 13 yards.
Murray's usage continues to fluctuate, as he led Denver's backfield with 14 carries as opposed to Melvin Gordon's nine. Murray wasn't all that effective -- he averaged only 3.3 yards per carry -- but he managed a game-winning plunge into the end zone from two yards away late in the fourth quarter. Through three games with the Broncos, Murray has reached double-digit carries on two occasions, and he has also scored a touchdown in consecutive contests.
-
Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Broncos' Melvin Gordon: Finds way to end zone
Gordon rushed the ball nine times for 29 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-17 win over the Jaguars. He added three receptions for 23 yards.
Latavius Murray led the Denver backfield with 15 touches compared to Gordon's 12. However, Gordon still managed a productive fantasy performance thanks to a one-yard touchdown plunge midway through the third quarter. He has now failed to reach 35 rushing yards in five of his last six games and continues to lose work to Murray.

Kyren Williams RB | LAR
Rams' Kyren Williams: Not quite ready to play
Though Williams (ankle) won't play Sunday against the 49ers, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic relays that the running back was spotted getting in a pregame workout prior to the contest.
The Rams designated Williams (ankle) for return from injured reserve Wednesday, but the running back isn't quite ready to suit up at this stage. However, Sunday's report suggests that he's trending in the right direction, and it's possible that Williams could be activated ahead of next weekend's game against the Buccaneers.
-
Travis Etienne RB | NO
Jaguars' Travis Etienne: Runs through Denver
Etienne rushed the ball 24 times for 156 yards in Sunday's 21-17 loss to the Broncos. He added three receptions for six yards.
As expected, Etienne was used as Jacksonville's workhorse back and tallied a career-high in attempts and yards. He had a number of explosive plays, highlighted by a 49-yard gain early in the second quarter, and he also found the end zone on a one-yard plunge to briefly put the Jaguars ahead late in the fourth quarter. The only thing lacking from the performance was extensive involvement as a receiver, but Etienne's otherwise elite involvement and efficiency far outweighed any concerns.
-
Gus Edwards RB | LAC
Ravens' Gus Edwards: Reportedly avoids major injury
The hamstring injury Edwards suffered Thursday night against the Buccaneers is described as minor, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
While it's encouraging that the running back appears to have avoided a serious injury, Rapoport suggests that "if (Edwards) misses time, it's likely just a week or so." With that in mind, Edwards' status is worth monitoring closely as the Ravens' (Monday) Nov. 7 contest against the Saints approaches. If he's out or limited at that time, added Week 9 backfield reps would be available for Kenyan Drake and Justice Hill.

Trey Sermon RB | PIT
Eagles' Trey Sermon: Isn't suiting up Sunday
Sermon (coach's decision) is listed as inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
Sermon won't play for a second-straight contest due to a coach's decision, after he saw eight-combined snaps between Week 4 and Week 5. Barring any injuries to the team's RB room, the second year back isn't expected to see much time on the field for the Eagles.
