  • Jaylen Warren RB | PIT

Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Leading rusher in loss

Warren rushed six times for 50 yards while securing all three of his targets for 25 yards during the Steelers' 35-13 loss to the Eagles on Sunday.

Warren was on the field for just 29 percent of the Steelers' offensive snaps Sunday, but he logged nine touches and racked up a career-high 75 yards from scrimmage in the blowout loss. Despite his encouraging performance, Warren remains firmly behind Najee Harris on the depth chart and is unlikely to be as involved in closer games down the stretch.

  • DeeJay Dallas RB | JAC

Seahawks' DeeJay Dallas: Works as No. 3 back

Dallas didn't record an offensive touch in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Giants. He did return two punts for 16 yards.

Travis Homer returned from injured reserve in Week 8 and took over the No. 2 role, meaning Dallas handled just five offensive snaps. As long as Homer and Kenneth Walker are healthy, Dallas won't have dependable fantasy utility.

  • Travis Homer RB | PIT

Seahawks' Travis Homer: Registers 31 total yards

Homer rushed twice for 10 yards and caught his lone target for 21 yards in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Giants.

Homer returned from injured reserve in Week 8 and immediately claimed the No. 2 role behind rookie Kenneth Walker, as Homer logged 14 offensive snaps (22 percent) while DeeJay Dallas handled five snaps. Walker will be the clear-cut lead back as long as he's healthy, but Homer is worth a roster spot in deeper leagues as a potential starter if Walker gets hurt.

  • Chase Edmonds RB | WAS

Dolphins' Chase Edmonds: Unimpressive with four carries

Edmonds carried the ball four times for 14 yard during Sunday's 31-27 win over Detroit.

Edmonds has now logged less than 4.0 yards per carry in seven of eight appearances this season, while Raheem Mostert (80 all-purpose yards versus the Lions) has emerged as the clear No. 1 option in Miami's backfield. Until such time as Edmonds shows some of the efficiency and versatility he flashed during his tenure with the Cardinals, his only fantasy value is as a backup option in case Mostert were to miss time.

  • Texans' Dare Ogunbowale: Plays three snaps

Ogunbowale played three snaps on offense and caught his lone target for no gain in Sunday's 17-10 loss to the Titans.

One week after Ogunbowale had a carry and five catches on seven targets, he received minimal opportunities in Week 8. Houston head coach Lovie Smith indicated the back's usage last week was an attempt to provide a spark for the offense, so Ogunbowale's role does not appear to be on the ascent -- although an offense that gained just 161 yards against an average Tennessee defense looked like it was in need of a jolt.

  • James Cook RB | BUF

Bills' James Cook: Combines for 76 yards in win

Cook rushed five times for 35 yards and caught his lone target for 41 yards in Sunday's 27-17 win over the Packers.

Cook stuck as the clear No. 2 back behind Devin Singletary for the second week in a row. The rookie second-round pick showed burst when he was on the field, ripping off 41 yards on an impressive catch in addition to his work as a rusher. Devin Singletary dominated the backfield touches with 15 to Cook's six, so it appears that the Bills feel more comfortable with the consistent veteran option while the team continues to rack up wins. That said, Cook is looking like a player worth stashing in the event he takes over as starter (via injury or coaching decision) later this season. For now, it's hard to recommend starting a player in fantasy with such a limited role heading into a matchup against the Jets next Sunday.

  • Bills' Devin Singletary: Gains 83 yards on 15 touches

Singletary rushed 14 times for 67 yards and caught one of two targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 27-17 win over the Packers.

Singletary did his usual work in between the 20s to the tune of 4.8 yards per carry, but he was stood up at the goal line on an attempt to score from one yard out. It is a bit unusual how the lead back for one of the best offenses in the league has zero rushing touchdowns through seven games, yet here we are. The 24-year-old has still been a productive player with 506 combined yards from scrimmage to go along with one receiving touchdown. Singletary's fantasy managers are hoping the back can get over his allergy to rushing touchdowns against the Jets next Sunday.

  • AJ Dillon RB | CAR

Packers' AJ Dillon: Powers for 54 yards in loss

Dillon rushed 10 times for 54 yards and caught his lone target for nine yards in Sunday's 27-17 loss to the Bills.

Dillon was able to get back to double-digit touches after failing to do so in two of his last three contests. The plodding back still played second fiddle to Aaron Jones (20 carries for 143 yards), and he also had to leave the game briefly due to an ankle injury after he was pulled down awkwardly on the turf. Dillon returned to the game and did not appear to be limited from that point forward, so fantasy managers may have dodged a lengthy absence. The 24-year-old is averaging 4.2 yards per carry despite his inconsistent usage this season, so he should remain rostered in the event his playing time stabilizes. Dillon could still draw flex appeal even with limited touches in a soft matchup against the Lions next Sunday.

  • Colts' Nyheim Hines: Totals 49 yards

Hines recorded five rushes for 20 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Commanders. He added two receptions for 29 yards.

Hines saw a season-high five rushing attempts with Jonathan Taylor briefly sidelined by an ankle injury. The former was also surprisingly given a goal-line carry early in the fourth quarter with Taylor serving as his lead blocker on the play. Hines' other highlight came on an over-the-shoulder catch for 22 yards one possession earlier. Hines will remain involved in the offense moving forward, but barring an ongoing injury to Taylor, he is unlikely to see more than 10 touches regularly.

  • Matt Breida RB | SF

Giants' Matt Breida: Sees limited action Sunday

Breida rushed twice for five yards and corralled one of two targets for 10 yards in Sunday's Week 8 loss to Seattle.

Breida had his best game of the season last week against Jacksonville when he totaled a modest 33 yards of offense. The veteran ball carrier couldn't build upon that against the Seahawks, finishing with fewer than three carries for the first time since Week 3 and totaling only three touches overall. Breida was the only Giants running back aside from Saquon Barkley to get a carry Sunday, so he's not vying with other backups for touches -- rather, Barkley continues to stay healthy and take on a workhorse role, thus limiting Breida's opportunities to produce.
