  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Packers' Aaron Jones: Rips off huge gains in loss

Jones rushed 20 times for 143 yards and caught four of five targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 27-17 loss to the Bills.

Jones produced a more traditional RB1 stat line after looking more like a wide receiver against Washington last week (nine catches for 53 yards and two touchdowns). The dual-threat back ripped off consistent big gains and did everything but score, which has been a common trend for him in 2022. After generating double-digit touchdowns in three consecutive years, the 27-year-old has just four (one rushing) through eight games. Jones will look to correct that slight deficiency in a juicy matchup against a porous Lions defense next Sunday.

  • Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Gets into end zone in win

Walker carried the ball 18 times for 51 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Giants. He also caught one of two targets for one yard.

The rookie running back was headed for a disappointing performance until he iced the game with a 16-yard TD run late in the fourth quarter. Walker has gotten into the end zone in four straight games, amassing 403 rushing yards and five TDs during that stretch, and he stands a good chance of extending that streak to five games in Week 9 against a Cardinals defense he gashed for 97 yards and a score in their first meeting.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Step back in involvement

Robinson carried the ball eight times for 20 yards in Sunday's 17-16 win over the Colts.

Coming off a 20-carry performance, Robinson took a back seat to Antonio Gibson in Sunday's win. He was completely uninvolved as a receiver and ineffective as a runner, as he averaged only 2.5 yards per carry and his longest rush of the day went for just seven yards. Robinson could continue to serve as the Commanders' lead back moving forward, though this performance highlights the fragility of his production given his lack of involvement as a pass catcher and the continued involvement of Gibson.

  • Saquon Barkley RB | PHI

Giants' Saquon Barkley: Salvages day with TD

Barkley carried the ball 20 times for 53 yards and a touchdown and caught three of five targets for nine yards in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Seahawks.

A one-yard TD plunge late in the second quarter tied the game at 7-7, but Barkley and the Giants' offense couldn't get much going at all after halftime, and his longest run of the afternoon went for only 15 yards. The NFL's leader in both scrimmage yards (968) and touches (191) will get a chance to rest up on the team's Week 9 bye.

  • Dameon Pierce RB | PHI

Texans' Dameon Pierce: Finds end zone against Titans

Pierce carried the ball 15 times for 35 yards and caught three of five targets for 16 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-10 loss to the Titans.

It was shaping up to be a very quiet day for the rookie running back until he caught a three-yard TD from Davis Mills with 17 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Pierce has gotten into the end zone or reached 100 scrimmage yards, or both, in five straight games, and he'll look to extend that streak in Week 9 against the undefeated Eagles.

  • Jeff Wilson RB | MIA

49ers' Jeff Wilson: Receives six touches as backup

Wilson rushed four times for 14 yards and caught both of his targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 31-14 win over the Rams.

Christian McCaffrey scored three touchdowns and took over as the 49ers' feature back following a full week of practice, effectively cementing Wilson as the backup. The 26-year-old did well in his run as fill-in starter prior to the big trade, but his fantasy value is diminished if McCaffrey is going to dominate the backfield touches this heavily. The latter isn't known for his durability, so Wilson could be worth hanging on to -- roster space permitting -- or possibly offered in a trade to the fantasy manager who rosters McCaffrey as injury insurance. Wilson should not be considered a starting fantasy option when San Francisco returns from its bye week to take on the Chargers on Nov. 13.

  • Derrick Henry RB | BAL

Titans' Derrick Henry: Historic performance against Texans

Henry carried the ball 32 times for 219 yards and two touchdowns and caught his only target for nine yards in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Texans.

No running back in NFL history has dominated a team the way Henry has dominated Houston. In each of Tennessee's last four meetings with its AFC South rivals, the 28-year-old power back has run for at least 200 yards, and he's the first RB in history to run for 150-plus yards and two TDs in four straight games against the same opponent. Henry also became the third back in league history to have six career 200-yard rushing performances, joining O.J. Simpson and Adrian Peterson in a very exclusive club. The Titans star has also reached triple-digit rushing yards in four straight games this season, a streak he'll look to extend in Week 9 against Kansas City.

  • Commanders' Antonio Gibson: Excels as pass catcher

Gibson recorded seven carries for 19 yards in Sunday's 17-16 win over the Colts. He added seven receptions on seven targets for 58 yards and a touchdown.

Gibson has quickly returned to a significant role in the Commanders' offense, as he out-touched Brian Robinson 14-8. Gibson accomplished little on the ground but had three receptions that went for gains of more than 10 yards and also hauled in a nine-yard receiving score. Combined across the last two games, Gibson has 154 total yards and two touchdowns.

  • Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Returns after injury scare

Taylor carried the ball 16 times for 76 yards in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Commanders.

Taylor was briefly sidelined early in the game by an ankle injury, though he returned to the field to dominate work out of the Colts' backfield. He was held in check for the vast majority of the game, though he did manage a 27-yard rush late in the first quarter to set up the team's first score of the game. Though Taylor appears to have avoided serious injury, Nyheim Hines was used at the goal line early in the fourth quarter -- perhaps an indication that Taylor was not at full strength. Taylor's practice status will be worth monitoring heading into a Week 9 matchup against the Patriots.

  • Trestan Ebner RB | CHI

    Bears' Trestan Ebner: Negative yardage

Ebner rushed twice but lost five yards in the Bears' 49-29 loss to the Cowboys on Sunday.

Ebener had his opportunities when the game was out of hand. When David Montgomery and Khalil Herbert are healthy, he sees very few snaps when the games are competitive. Unless his role changes, he doesn't see enough work to consistently help most fantasy teams.
