Jonathan Taylor RB | IND
Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Still not practicing
Taylor (ankle) wasn't present for Thursday's practice, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Taylor also sat out practice Wednesday, so his status for Sunday's game against the Patriots is firmly in question at the moment. In Taylor's absence from Thursday's session, Deon Jackson and Zack Moss were on the field along with practice-squad members Phillip Lindsay and Jordan Wilkins.

D'Andre Swift RB | CHI
Lions' D'Andre Swift: Back at practice
Swift (ankle/shoulder) was spotted during the open portion of practice Thursday, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Swift didn't practice Wednesday, so his return to the field Thursday, in any capacity, bodes well for his chances of being available for Sunday's game against the Packers. The Lions' upcoming injury report is slated to reveal the running back's official participation level.

Damien Harris RB | BUF
Patriots' Damien Harris: Remains sidelined Thursday
Harris (illness) wasn't spotted at practice Thursday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Harris also missed Wednesday's session, so what the running back is able to do Friday will be pivotal with regard to his chances of suiting up Sunday against the Colts. If Harris ends up out or limited this weekend, Rhamondre Stevenson would be in line to see added touches Week 9.

Cam Akers RB | SEA
Rams' Cam Akers: Returning to practice
Akers (personal) will return to practice Thursday, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
Akers remains on the Rams' roster with the trade deadline having passed, and Thursday's return to practice could be a sign that his relationship with the team is beginning to mend. Coach Sean McVay had positive things to say Wednesday about recent dialogues with Akers, though he also mentioned waiving the running back and giving him a fresh start as a possibility. It remains to be seen whether Akers will contribute again for Los Angeles this season, though McVay could offer more information during his scheduled media session Friday.

Derrick Gore RB | WAS
Derrick Gore: Takes part in workout
Gore (thumb) worked out for the Colts on Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Gore was waived by the Chiefs prior to the start of the 2022 campaign due to a thumb injury, but he's now healthy and is battling for another opportunity. He was one of four running backs to take part in Wednesday's workout for the Colts.

Devin Singletary RB | NYG
Bills' Devin Singletary: Gets pass-catching complement
Singletary will have a new backfield mate after the Bills traded for Nyheim Hines on Tuesday, Alaina Getzenberg and Stephen Holder of ESPN.com report.
While the Bills gave up running back Zack Moss in the deal, Moss was barely playing in recent weeks and Buffalo didn't trade for Hines to have him sit on the bench. That said, the Bills were said to be in the market for a bigger backfield name such as Christian McCaffrey or Alvin Kamara, so on some level, Singletary's value as a No. 1 back in a strong offense is at least maintained following the Hines deal. However, a scenario exists where Hines takes the field for the majority of third downs and other passing situations.

Darrel Williams RB | NO
Cardinals' Darrel Williams: Heading to injured reserve
The Cardinals placed Williams (hip) on injured reserve Wednesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Williams ended a two-game absence Week 8 at Minnesota and played 30 percent of the offensive snaps en route to seven touches for 14 total yards while working behind Eno Benjamin with James Conner (ribs) still sidelined. Per Urban, Williams was spotted on crutches after Sunday's contest and now will have to miss at least Arizona's next four games, meaning his next potential appearance is Dec. 12 against the Patriots. During Williams' time on IR, Benjamin, rookie sixth-round pick Keaontay Ingram and -- when healthy -- Conner will man the team's backfield.

Cam Akers RB | SEA
Rams' Cam Akers: Talking with team
Rams head coach Sean McVay said Wednesday that he's "very encouraged with the dialogue" he's had with Akers (personal) and his agent, David Mulugheta, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
McVay suggested that Akers still wants to be part of the Rams, despite a number of recent signals suggesting otherwise. Player and team reportedly are still discussing options after Akers wasn't dealt ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline, potentially leaving the door open for the running back to contribute again this season. McVay said that waiving Akers is a possibility, however.

Darrel Williams RB | NO
Cardinals' Darrel Williams: Tending to hip injury
Williams didn't practice Wednesday due to a hip injury, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Williams put an end to a two-game absence this past Sunday in Minnesota, earning 30 percent of the offensive snaps and turning seven touches into 14 yards from scrimmage. In the wake of that appearance, however, a knee issue has been replaced by another health concern as the reason for his lack of activity at practice. Meanwhile, James Conner (ribs), who has missed the last three contests, was limited Wednesday, so he may be the better bet to be a part of the Cardinals backfield along with Eno Benjamin this Sunday against the Seahawks.

Derrick Henry RB | BAL
Titans' Derrick Henry: Logs limited practice
Henry was limited at practice Wednesday due to a foot injury, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
In this past weekend's 17-10 win over the Texans, Henry was on the field for 43 snaps on offense while carrying the ball 32 times for 219 yards and two touchdowns and catching his only target for nine yards. With no reported injuries in the contest, it's possible that Henry's listed limitations Wednesday were maintenance-related. That said, given that a foot injury derailed the running back's 2021 campaign, his status is now worth tracking ahead of Sunday's game against Kansas City.
