  • Khalil Herbert RB | NYJ

Bears' Khalil Herbert: Lowest output in four weeks

Herbert rushed seven times for 23 yards in the Bears' 35-32 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.

After posting at least 74 scrimmage yards in three straight contests, Herbert had little room to run against a Miami defense that's held opposing running backs to 70 yards per game. With his rushing attempts fluctuating between four and 20 in any given week, Herbert's usage is difficult to predict. However, his typical weekly production since Week 3 makes him a high-floor fantasy option a majority of the time.

  • Michael Carter RB | TEN

Jets' Michael Carter: Splits with Robinson in win

Carter rushed 12 times for 76 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Bills. He also caught his only target for 10 yards.

Carter was out-touched 15-13 by James Robinson, who came into the game nursing a knee injury. Both running backs got into the end zone, and Carter finished with 86 scrimmage yards to Robinson's 53. Carter cut Buffalo's lead to 14-10 in the final minute of the first half with a six-yard rushing touchdown, then Robinson put New York ahead with a seven-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter. Given the Jets' commitment to running the ball despite losing Breece Hall (knee) for the season, both Carter and Robinson should continue to garner double-digit touches after the team's Week 10 bye.

  • Tyler Allgeier RB | ARI

Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Most productive back in loss

Allgeier rushed 10 times for 99 yards and brought in his only target for 24 yards in the Falcons' 20-17 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.

Despite Cordarrelle Patterson returning from his four-game stint on IR due to a knee injury, it was Allgeier who easily paced the Falcons in rushing yards on the afternoon. The rookie did log three fewer carries than his veteran backfield mate, but Allgeier's explosiveness was evident on his game-long 44-yard run and 24-yard reception. It will be interesting to see if Patterson is afforded even more work at Allgeier's expense in Week 10 with a short week ahead of a divisional road matchup against the Panthers.

  • Bears' David Montgomery: Paces backfield in carries

Montgomery rushed 14 times for 36 yards and brought in one of two targets for eight yards in the Bears' 35-32 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.

Despite having been the subject of trade rumors leading up to Tuesday's deadline, Montgomery ultimately stayed put in the Windy City and ended up pacing the Bears backfield in carries. Montgomery's workload on the ground actually doubled up that of backfield mate Khalil Herbert, and he was the only one of the two to see a target. Chicago's ground-game usage has been difficult to predict game to game, however, so it remains to be seen if the distribution will remain the same in a Week 10 home matchup versus the vulnerable Lions defense.

  • Jeff Wilson RB | MIA

Dolphins' Jeff Wilson: Scores receiving TD in debut

Wilson rushed nine times for 51 yards and brought in all three targets for 21 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 35-32 win over the Bears on Sunday.

Making his Dolphins debut after being acquired at the trade deadline Tuesday, Wilson made an immediate impact and notably matched incumbent back Raheem Mostert's carry total. Wilson also made his mark as a receiver with a critical 10-yard touchdown grab with 6:02 remaining, making it a very productive start to his Miami tenure. Wilson could be in line for an even bigger workload in a Week 10 home matchup against the Browns with another week of acclimation to a Mike McDaniel playbook he's already very familiar with.

  • D'Andre Swift RB | CHI

Lions' D'Andre Swift: Produces in limited action

Swift (ankle/shoulder) rushed twice for 10 yards and caught three of four targets for 40 yards in Sunday's 15-9 win over the Packers.

Swift's role and usage were limited for the second consecutive week due to multiple nagging injuries. Jamaal Williams (24/81/0) handled the majority of the early-down work Sunday, with both backs producing modest fantasy lines in their respective roles. Swift is the back with the higher upside, but injuries have derailed a promising start to his 2022 campaign. The 23-year-old's managers are hoping that he can inch closer to handling a starter's workload after being eased back into action over Detroit's last two contests. Swift's next chance to accomplish that task will come against a struggling Bears defense next Sunday.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Gets into end zone Sunday

Mostert rushed nine times for 26 yards and a touchdown, failed to bring in either of his two targets and returned one kickoff for 18 yards in the Dolphins' 35-32 win over the Bears on Sunday.

Mostert shared the backfield with former 49ers teammate Jeff Wilson for the first time as a Dolphin, and the end result was an exact 50/50 split in carries. Wilson was the more efficient of the two with 51 yards on his nine totes, but Mostert got into the end zone on a one-yard run midway through the first quarter to salvage his fantasy day. However, the fact Wilson was immediately involved on a level that actually exceeded Mostert's -- the recent trade acquisition also posted a 3-21-1 line through the air -- is concerning for the Dolphins' incumbent back moving forward.

  • Bills' Devin Singletary: Gets 12 touches in loss

Singletary rushed eight times for 24 yards and caught four of five targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Jets.

Singletary finished a distant second to Josh Allen (86 yards, two TDs) on the ground. Buffalo's offense revolves around Allen both through the air and on the ground, so Singletary's volume is contingent on the Bills playing from in front, which wasn't the case in Buffalo's second loss of the season. Rushing opportunities could remain limited in Week 10 against the 7-1 Vikings.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Tough sledding on ground in loss

Robinson rushed 13 times for 44 yards and brought in both targets for minus-6 yards in the Commanders' 20-17 loss to the Vikings on Sunday.

Robinson was once again mostly stymied on the ground, with his long run of the day going for just six yards. The rookie outpaced backfield mate Antonio Gibson by just two carries overall after checking in second to him in that category Week 8, but he should continue to helm the ground game in a tough Week 10 road matchup against the Eagles on Monday night, Nov. 14.

  • Lions' Jamaal Williams: Handles lion's share of touches

Williams rushed 24 times for 81 yards and was not targeted in the passing game in Sunday's 15-9 win over Green Bay.

D'Andre Swift (ankle/shoulder) suited up in a limited capacity (five touches for 50 yards) for the second week in a row, allowing Williams to dominate the backfield touches once again. The 24 carries set a new high for the veteran back, as he remains heavily involved in the game plan regardless of Swift's availability. Williams has produced a standout 126/545/8 rushing line through eight games, and he will look to continue his career year against a struggling Chicago defense next Sunday.
