  • Texans' Dare Ogunbowale: Ascends to top backup role

Ogunbowale had two carries for eight yards and caught two of three targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 27-14 loss to the Browns.

With Rex Burkhead (concussion) inactive, Ogunbowale moved up the depth chart to become the top backup running back behind Dameon Pierce. Ogunbowale's been used mostly as a special teamer until the last couple weeks, while Eno Benjamin, claimed off waivers from the Cardinals three weeks ago, made his Houston debut Sunday and did not receive a touch or a target in four snaps. Benjamin has a better track record than Ogunbowale, so he could eventually become the primary backup RB once the coaches feel he has a grasp of the offense.

  • Browns' Demetric Felton: Fills in for injured Bell

Felton did not catch his lone target in Sunday's 27-14 win over the Texans in Week 13.

Felton was on the active roster for the first time in four weeks, which turned out to be a prudent decision by head coach Kevin Stefanski. The Browns lost slot receiver David Bell to a hand injury early and used Felton as a fill-in. He played a season-high 36 snaps and is more familiar with the slot role than Anthony Schwartz, who played five snaps on offense, so Felton could see consistent usage if Bell misses additional time.

  • Browns' D'Ernest Johnson: No run on offense

Johnson played 15 snaps on special teams and none on offense in Sunday's 27-14 win over Houston.

It's not surprising to see Johnson used on special teams only, but it was interesting that Jerome Ford got his first snaps and touches on offense. If an injury to Nick Chubb or Kareem Hunt should occur in the final weeks of the regular season, it's not a given that Johnson would get first crack at replacing either back in the rotation.

  • Jerome Ford RB | WAS

Browns' Jerome Ford: Gets first carries

Ford had three carries for three yards and returned three kickoffs for 48 yards in Sunday's 27-14 win over the Texans.

Ford had appeared in games as a special teams player only until Sunday, when he played seven snaps on offense and was given his first touches as a running back. With Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt healthy, there isn't much need for a third back. However, it was interesting to see Ford get snaps over D'Ernest Johnson.

  • Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Stays hot with another TD

Elliott rushed 17 times for 77 yards and a touchdown against the Colts on Sunday. He also caught all three of his targets for 14 yards in a 54-19 blowout win.

Elliott continued his recent run of success with his fourth trip to the end zone in just three games since returning from injury. Tony Pollard (106 scrimmage yards and two TDs) also feasted on the Colts, as Dallas had its thunder and lightning backfield on full display for a national audience. The veteran of the tandem has looked rejuvenated in 2022, averaging 4.2 yards per carry to go along with eight scores through 10 games. Zeke should be able to continue eating when the Cowboys host the Texans on Sunday in a game where Dallas should be heavily favored.

  • Tony Pollard RB | TEN

Cowboys' Tony Pollard: Stellar season continues

Pollard rushed 12 times for 91 yards and two touchdowns while catching two of three targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 54-19 win over Indianapolis.

Dallas' rushing attack did the heavy lifting in this blowout win, producing two strong fantasy lines from Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott (17 carries for 71 yards and a TD). The more-explosive of the duo finished with the finer performance this week, bumping his yards per carry average up to 5.8 in the process. Pollard has now compiled 1,111 scrimmage yards and 10 total touchdowns through 12 games, rewarding those who believed in the preseason hype surrounding the fourth-year back. The lowly Texans are on tap for the Cowboys on Sunday, putting Pollard in a prime position to produce another monster fantasy game.

  • Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Combines for 103 yards on SNF

Taylor gained 82 yards on 21 carries and caught three of four targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 54-19 loss to Dallas.

Taylor was unable to extend his touchdown streak to four games, but he still put up a solid fantasy line in spite of a negative game script. He may have been afforded more scoring opportunities had Matt Ryan and Indy's dismal passing attack not turned the ball over five times. Last year's rushing leader has produced a 192/861/4 line through 10 games; a far cry from the monster totals we witnessed from him in 2021, but still good enough to warrant RB1 status. Taylor and the Colts have the upcoming bye week to help recuperate from this shellacking before resuming play against the Vikings on Dec. 18.

  • Josh Jacobs RB | GB

Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Another huge performance

Jacobs carried the ball 26 times for 144 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Chargers. He also caught both his targets for six yards.

For the second straight week, Jacobs came into the game with a calf injury that made it uncertain if he would even play, and for the second week he looked unbothered by the issue as he shredded a run defense that seemed helpless to stop him. Jacobs has posted three straight 100-yard performances and six in his last nine games, a surge that has moved him into the lead for the NFL rushing crown with 1,303 yards on the season. He could be listed as questionable again due to a quick turnaround before Thursday's game against the Rams, but Jacobs' current form will make him extremely hard to fade.

  • Chiefs' Jerick McKinnon: Finds end zone against Bengals

McKinnon carried the ball eight times for 51 yards and caught both his targets for nine yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Bengals.

The 60 scrimmage yards were his highest total since Week 5, while his two-yard TD catch in the second quarter was his second trip to the end zone of the year. McKinnon remains behind rookie Isiah Pacheco in the backfield pecking order, but he's still capable of delivering useful fantasy numbers in Kansas City's high-powered offense. McKinnon will look to make an impact again in Week 14 against the Broncos.

  • Austin Ekeler RB | WAS

Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Tallies 100-plus total yards

Ekeler carried the ball 10 times for 35 yards and also nabbed five of his six targets for 67 yards in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Raiders.

That marks two straight games in which the Raiders have held Ekeler to under 40 yards rushing, but at least in the rematch the talented back was able to gather a bit more receiving production. Ekeler remains one of the most consistent fantasy running backs given his usage as both a runner and receiver and his ability to finish in the red zone. Even with a handful of difficult matchups to come, the 27-year-old is a set-and-forget stud every week.
