Roschon Johnson RB | CHI
Bears' Roschon Johnson: Dealing with injury
Coach Matt Eberflus said Tuesday that Johnson is tending to an undisclosed injury, Adam Jahns of The Athletic reports.
Johnson sat out Tuesday's session and instead spent his time with the Bears' training staff. Any missed time in camp can be detrimental, especially for a rookie who isn't guaranteed a spot. Fellow RBs Khalil Herbert and D'Onta Foreman have experience on their side, while Travis Homer likely is a superior pass catcher to the 2023 fourth-round pick.

Jason Huntley RB | IND
Jason Huntley: Cut by Pittsburgh
The Steelers waived Huntley on Tuesday.
After playing with Pittsburgh's practice squad in 2022, the 2020 fifth-round pick has been let go in order to free up space for Greg Bell and John Lovett. Throughout his three-year career, the New Mexico State product has recorded 18 carries for 70 yards and no touchdowns.

Greg Bell RB | PIT
Steelers' Greg Bell: Headed to Pittsburgh
Bell agreed to terms with the Steelers on Tuesday.
After being released by Detroit on July 22, the San Diego State product has quickly found another home in Pittsburgh. Bell has yet to see the field in the NFL after being signed as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He'll now get the chance to compete with Anthony McFarland, Alfonzo Graham and Darius Hagans for a depth spot in the Steelers' running back room ahead of the coming season.

Rhamondre Stevenson RB | NE
Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Back in action Tuesday
Stevenson (rest) returned to practice Tuesday, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.
Per Zack Cox of NESN.com, Stevenson was limited to conditioning work Monday, but the Patriots' top RB is back at it Tuesday. At this stage, it appears as though the team plans to manage Stevenson's training camp workload, and when that happens added practice reps will be available for Kevin Harris, Pierre Strong, J.J. Taylor and, when healthy, Ty Montgomery (leg).

Jonathan Taylor RB | IND
Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Situation addressed by coach
When discussing Taylor (ankle), who is on the active/PUP list, coach Shane Steichen noted Monday "right now (the running back) is on this football team, and when the medical staff clears him, he should be out there," Joel A. Erickson of the Indianapolis Star reports.
Per NFL.com, reports surfaced Sunday that the Colts were believed to be contemplating placing Taylor (who is bouncing back from an ankle injury) on the non-football injury list due to a back issue. The running back subsequently denied that he was dealing with any sort of back injury, while, for his part, Steichen noted "(Taylor is) just dealing with something right now, and I'm going to refrain from getting into that." Either way, things remain contentious between Taylor and the team after his recent trade request, which Colts owner Jim Irsay says the franchise doesn't plan to act on, and there's no timetable for his potential return to the field. In addition to Taylor's ongoing absence, the Colts' backfield depth was further depleted Monday when No. 2 back Zack Moss suffered a broken arm that threatens his Week 1 status. Indy's top available RB options are Deon Jackson and Evan Hull, with Jake Funk and Zavier Scott also in the mix.

Kevin Harris RB | JAC
Patriots' Kevin Harris: Fills in for Stevenson
With Rhamondre Stevenson receiving a rest day, Harris took starting reps during Monday's practice, Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald reports.
Ty Montgomery (leg) also was absent from Monday's session, setting the stage for Harris, Pierre Strong and J.J. Taylor to see added reps. While Harris isn't a threat to overtake Stevenson as the Patriots' top back, as things stand, he could end up being next in line for early-down work in the event that Stevenson misses time down the road. Meanwhile, Strong and Montgomery (when healthy) remain in the mix for change-of-pace work out of the team's backfield.

Rhamondre Stevenson RB | NE
Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Limited Monday
Stevenson (undisclosed) spent most of Monday's practice running on the Patriots' lower rehab field,Paul Perillo of the team's official site reports.
Whether Stevenson is dealing with a minor injury or simply having his training camp reps monitored isn't clear, but his limitations Monday allowed Kevin Harris, Pierre Strong and J.J. Taylor to garner additional reps. It remains to be seen if the Patriots add veteran backfield depth, but for now the above trio, as well as Ty Montgomery (leg) -- once he returns to practice -- are in the mix to compete for complementary work behind Stevenson.

SaRodorick Thompson RB | LAR
Seahawks' SaRodorick Thompson: Signs with Seattle
Thompson signed with the Seahawks on Monday.
Thompson will head to Seattle and provide depth following injuries to Kenneth Walker (groin) and Zach Charbonnet (shoulder). The 23-year-old originally signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent back in April only to be waived two months later. Thompson will now look to make the most of his opportunity while Walker and Charbonnet recover from their injuries.

Ronald Jones RB | DAL
Cowboys' Ronald Jones: Suspended for violating PED policy
The NFL suspended Jones on Monday for the first two games of the 2023 regular season for violating the NFL's policy on performance enchancing substances, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
Jones still will be eligible to participate in training camp and preseason games, but the Cowboys presumably won't give him as many looks in practice if he isn't going to be part of the game plan to begin the regular season. If that's the case, Malik Davis, who signed with Dallas as a UDFA last year, rookie sixth-round pick Deuce Vaughn and third-year back Rico Dowdle, who mainly played special teams last season, would be candidates for increased snaps behind Tony Pollard during Jones' absence.

Ronald Jones RB | DAL
Cowboys' Ronald Jones: Suspended for two games
Jones has been suspended for the first two games of the 2023 regular season, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
It's unclear why Jones was suspended or who suspended him between the NFL and the Cowboys, but either way, he won't be eligible to play until Week 3. This should open up more snaps for Malik Davis and rookie Deuce Vaughn, who are both vying for a backup job behind Tony Pollard.
