  • Justice Hill RB | BAL

Ravens' Justice Hill: Back at practice

Hill (foot) was present for practice Thursday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Hill sat out the Ravens' Week 3 loss to the Colts and didn't practice Wednesday, but his return to the field a day later suggests that he could return to action Sunday against the Browns. The Ravens will release their second Week 4 injury report later Thursday, when it will be known whether Hill was deemed a limited or full practice participant.

  • Saquon Barkley RB | PHI

Giants' Saquon Barkley: Getting in on-field work Thursday

Giants head coach Brian Daboll said Barkley (ankle) is set to take part in individual work during Thursday's practice, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.

Daboll didn't specify whether Barkley's activity will be enough to constitute limited participation in practice, but clarity on that front will arrive when the Giants release their first Week 4 injury report later Thursday. Barkley hasn't practiced in any fashion since suffering a right high-ankle sprain late in the Giants' Week 2 win over the Cardinals. The star running back appears to be making steady progress in his recovery, however, and if he's able to ramp up the intensity of his workouts over the next few days, he has a chance at being available for Monday's game against the Seahawks.

  • Lions' David Montgomery: Likely to play Thursday

Montgomery (thigh) is expected to suit up versus the Packers on Thursday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Pelissero's latest report corrects one from earlier in the day, when he reported that Montgomery and left tackle Taylor Decker (ankle) -- both of whom are listed as questionable -- weren't on track to play Thursday. Even though he was tagged as a limited participant for each of the Lions' three walk-through sessions this week, Montgomery looks as though he'll be ready to return from a one-game absence due to the right thigh injury. In any case, confirmation on Montgomery's status will come when Detroit releases its inactive list 90 minutes prior to Thursday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff, and fantasy managers will likely want to monitor the situation until then. Pelissero relays that Montgomery is expected to reclaim duties as the Lions' lead back Thursday, which could result in Jahmyr Gibbs falling below a 50 percent snap share like he did in both of the first two weeks of the season.

  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Packers' Aaron Jones: Expected back Thursday

Jones (hamstring), who is listed as questionable, is expected to play Thursday against the Lions, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Jones, who last suited up for the Packers' Week 1 win over the Bears, carries a questionable tag after being deemed a limited practice participant Monday through Wednesday, but he looks poised to put an end to his two-game absence. Per Pelissero, the Packers plan to be "cautious" with Jones' workload, though he could end up seeing somewhere close to his normal allotment of snaps Thursday so long as he avoids a setback as the game unfolds. AJ Dillon, who is averaging 2.7 yards per carry through three games, is expected to move back into a reduced complementary role in anticipation of Jones' return. Official confirmation of Jones' status will arrive when Green Bay posts its inactive list approximately 90 minutes prior to Thursday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Lions' David Montgomery: Not expected to play Thursday

Montgomery (thigh), who is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Packers, isn't expected to play, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Pelissero notes that earlier in the week the Lions had some optimism regarding the availability of Montgomery, but the team appears inclined to err on the side of caution with the running back and hold him out for one more game. Confirmation on Montgomery's status will arrive when the Lions release their inactive list approximately 90 minutes prior to Thursday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff, but assuming Montgomery ends up being sidelined, Jahmyr Gibbs would once again be in line to see an expanded role as Detroit's lead back.

  • Gus Edwards RB | LAC

Ravens' Gus Edwards: Not in protocol, good to go Week 4

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh confirmed after Wednesday's practice that Edwards is not in the NFL's concussion protocol, Ryan Mink of the team's official site reports.

Edwards was a full participant in the Ravens' first Week 4 practice, and Harbaugh's comments following the session indicate that the running back is in the clear for Sunday's game in Cleveland since he won't be subject to the five-step protocol. The 27-year-old carried 11 times for 51 yards before exiting late in the fourth quarter of this past weekend's 22-19 overtime loss to the Colts to be evaluated for a concussion, but he was apparently never diagnosed with a brain injury.

  • Commanders' Chris Rodriguez: Limited by illness Wednesday

Rodriguez (illness) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Selected 193rd overall in this year's NFL Draft, Rodriguez has played six offensive snaps through his first three games, seeing another 54 snaps on special teams. He's rushed three times for seven scoreless yards. Derrick Gore is on the Commanders' practice squad should Rodriguez not be able to play in Week 4.

  • James Conner RB | ARI

Cardinals' James Conner: Tending to back injury

Conner practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday due to a back injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

The oft-injured running back is dealing with his second health concern of the season after enduring some practice limitations during Week 2 prep due to a calf issue. His status will be one to watch closely as the week goes on, but so long as Conner is a full practice participant by Friday, he'll have a good chance at approaching Sunday's game in San Francisco without an injury designation. Through three games, Conner has easily paced the Cardinals backfield to the tune of 58 touches for 292 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns.

  • Austin Ekeler RB | WAS

Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Logs limited practice

Ekeler (ankle) practiced Wednesday in a limited capacity.

Ekeler has missed the Chargers' last two games and didn't practice at all last week while recovering from a high-ankle sprain, but his return to the field Wednesday -- albeit in a limited fashion -- is a positive indicator with regard to his chances of suiting up Sunday against the Raiders. He'll now have two more chances to upgrade to full participation, which he'll presumably need to do in order to avoid carrying an injury designation into Sunday's game.

  • Gus Edwards RB | LAC

Ravens' Gus Edwards: Listed as full practice participant

Edwards (concussion) was listed as a full practice participant Wednesday.

Edwards was evaluated for a concussion during this past Sunday's 22-19 overtime loss to the Colts, and even though he was back on the field three days later as a full participant in practice, the Ravens haven't yet confirmed whether the running back is still following the five-step protocol for head injuries. At the very least, Edwards' ability to practice fully suggests that he's close to being removed from the protocol, if he was diagnosed with a concussion following his departure from the Week 3 loss. Meanwhile, fellow running back Justice Hill (foot) remained sidelined for Wednesday's session, so Edwards may be the healthier of the two heading into this Sunday's game in Cleveland.
