Zack Moss RB | CIN
Colts' Zack Moss: Back at practice
Moss (elbow/heel) returned to practice Thursday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Moss missed Wednesday's session, but his return to the field Thursday bodes well for his chances of being available for Sunday's game against the Saints. The Colts' upcoming injury report will reveal Moss's participation level, but he likely will need to practice fully by Friday in order to avoid a Week 8 injury designation.

Jerick McKinnon RB | KC
Chiefs' Jerick McKinnon: Misses practice Thursday
McKinnon (groin) won't practice Thursday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
McKinnon practiced fully Wednesday, so it's unclear if his absence a day later is indicative of a setback or a matter of rep management. Friday's injury report will add further context regarding McKinnon's Week 8 status, but if the running back is available Sunday against the Broncos, he'll be in line to continue to handle a change-of-pace role behind top back Isiah Pacheco.

David Montgomery RB | HOU
Lions' David Montgomery: Not practicing to start Week 8 prep
Lions head coach Dan Campbell said Montgomery (ribs) won't practice Thursday, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
While Campbell said that Montgomery is showing improvement in his recovery from cartilage damage to his ribs, the coach noted he's counting on Jahmyr Gibbs to step up and lead the Detroit backfield this week. Campbell's comments imply that Montgomery is trending toward a second straight absence Monday against the Raiders, though whether the running back is ruled out ahead of the contest or listed as doubtful or questionable may not be decided until after Saturday's practice session. The Lions are on bye Week 9, giving Montgomery added time to heal up before a Week 10 game against the Chargers on Nov. 12.

Kenny McIntosh RB | SEA
Seahawks' Kenny McIntosh: Cleared to practice
The Seahawks designated McIntosh (knee) to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
McIntosh was a limited participant in the team's practice Wednesday and has a chance to play Sunday against the Browns. The rookie seventh-round pick could be involved in Seattle's offense from the get-go as both Kenneth Walker (calf) and Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) are dealing with injuries.
-
Zach Charbonnet RB | SEA
Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Limited in return to practice
Charbonnet (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Prior to being deemed inactive this past Sunday versus the Cardinals, Charbonnet didn't log any on-field reps during Week 7 prep due to a hamstring injury. Now that he's mixed into drills this week, he finds himself in an interesting spot with the Seahawks' top running back Kenneth Walker (calf) missing practice Wednesday and fellow rookie Kenny McIntosh (knee) being limited after the team designated him for return from injured reserve. The entire backfield situation will need to be monitored closely to see who among the trio (or DeeJay Dallas) will be available to Seattle's offense Sunday against the Browns.

Kenneth Walker III RB | KC
Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Dealing with calf issue
Walker didn't take part in Wednesday's practice due to a calf injury, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
The Seahawks' first Week 8 injury report includes three running backs, with Walker sitting out Wednesday's session entirely and Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) and Kenny McIntosh (knee) logging limited sessions. Walker has handled the vast majority of the team's backfield reps this season, logging at least a 60 percent snap share in five of six games and also cranking out 122 touches for 556 yards from scrimmage and six rushing scores. He'll have two more chances to mix into drills this week before Seattle potentially tags him with a designation for Sunday's contest against the Browns.

Austin Ekeler RB | WAS
Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Logs full practice Wednesday
Ekeler (ankle) practiced fully Wednesday.
During this past Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Chiefs, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times noted that Ekeler was spotted limping off the field after a rushing attempt, but the running back was able to return to action and ended up logging 40 of 63 snaps on offense while carrying 14 times for 45 yards and catching one of his two targets for one yard. A full practice Wednesday sets the stage for Ekeler to continue to lead the Chargers backfield this weekend against the 2-5 Bears, with Joshua Kelley on hand to work in a complementary role.

Bijan Robinson RB | ATL
Falcons' Bijan Robinson: Avoids injury report
Robinson (illness) wasn't listed Wednesday on the Falcons' first Week 8 practice report, Scott Bair of the team's official site reports.
Robinson was the subject of some angst in the fantasy realm for his unexpected limited usage this past Sunday at Tampa Bay, but an illness was chalked up as the reason he earned just one carry and no targets on 11 offensive snaps. He told D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution after Wednesday's session that he was a full participant, which came to pass with the release of the Falcons' first practice report of the week. Robinson thus is poised to return to the workload that he handled for the first six weeks of the season (17.7 touches per game) this Sunday at Tennessee.

Raheem Mostert RB | LV
Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Bothered by ankle
Mostert missed Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury, Hal Habib of The Palm Beach Post reports.
The last time Mostert missed a practice was Wednesday of Week 2, when he returned to full participation the following day and then put up 121 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-17 win over the Patriots. A return to practice Thursday would put him on track to be available this weekend for another matchup with New England, this time at home in Miami rather than on the road. If Mostert's ankle injury is a real problem, however, the Dolphins can turn to Salvon Ahmed and/or Jeff Wilson for extra work.

Gary Brightwell RB | CIN
Giants' Gary Brightwell: Non-participant at practice
Brightwell (hamstring) did not participate at practice Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Brightwell was forced out of Sunday's game versus Washington with a hamstring injury, which is now also keeping him out of practice to start the week. Unless he can come back to practice Thursday or Friday, he'll probably have to sit out Week 8 versus the Jets.
