Gary Brightwell RB | CIN
Giants' Gary Brightwell: Won't play Week 8
Brightwell (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against against the Jets, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.
Brightwell didn't practice at all during Week 8 prep, and he's thus been ruled out for Sunday's matchup. The third-year running back has been used mostly on special teams this season, and he hasn't logged an offensive snap since Week 4. However, with rookie RB Eric Gray moved to IR on Tuesday, the Giants recently signed both Jashaun Corbin and Deon Jackson to serve as depth behind Saquon Barkley and Matt Breida out of the backfield.

Keaton Mitchell RB | LAC
Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: Chance to play Sunday
Mitchell (hamstring) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Cordell Woodland of 105.7 The Fan reports.
The 21-year-old running back out of East Carolina seems to be trending in the right direction to play this Sunday, as he went from limited participation in Thursday's practice to a full workload Friday. Mitchell has appeared in two games for the Ravens since coming off injured reserve, playing primarily on special teams (52 percent of snaps).

Kene Nwangwu RB | NYJ
Vikings' Kene Nwangwu: Questionable with illness
Nwangwu (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Green Bay.
Nwangwu missed practice Friday due to an illness, putting his status for Week 8 in limbo. If he can't suit up Sunday, Ty Chandler would likely fill in as Minnesota's primary kick returner.

Kareem Hunt RB | KC
Browns' Kareem Hunt: Receives green light for Sunday
Hunt (thigh) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
A true game-time decision heading into last week's game against the Colts while nursing the same injury, Hunt suited up and carried 10 times for 31 yards and two touchdowns while failing to haul in his lone target in the Browns' 39-38 win. Though he never managed anything more than limited participation in practice this week, Hunt could be headed for his largest workload of the season after playing no more than 26 snaps on offense in any of his previous four appearances. Top back Jerome Ford is listed as questionable for Sunday's game, but after exiting the win over the Colts with a high-ankle sprain and missing practices Wednesday and Thursday before taking part in Friday's session as a limited participant, he could have his snaps monitored carefully even if he plays. Hunt thus profiles as a stronger fantasy option than usual if Ford suits up, though managers would be able to include Hunt in lineups with an even greater degree of confidence if Ford is deemed inactive ahead of the Browns' 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff.

Kenneth Walker III RB | KC
Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Avoids injury designation
Walker (calf) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Browns, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
The Seahawks were apparently just being cautious when they held Walker out of practice Wednesday and Thursday with a minor calf injury. He has a bit more competition for playing time this week with backup Zach Charbonnet cleared to return from a one-game absence due to a hamstring injury, but the rookie's presence hadn't been stopping Walker from ranking among the league leaders in carries and rushing touchdowns through the first six weeks of the season. A tough Cleveland defense is probably the bigger concern for Walker's fantasy production, though Jonathan Taylor put up 120 yards and a touchdown against the Browns last week while working in a timeshare with fellow Colts running back Zack Moss.

Raheem Mostert RB | LV
Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Questionable, but likely to play
The Dolphins list Mostert (ankle) as questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Despite carrying a designation into the weekend, Mostert told Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network earlier Friday that he will play Sunday. Mostert was a non-participant Wednesday in the Dolphins' first practice of the week, but he said he was merely dealing with a minor ankle tweak. Mostert returned to the field as a limited participant Thursday and Friday, with the back-to-back days of activity seemingly backing up the running back's own optimism about his health. Though Mostert should be ready to fill his typically starting role Sunday, he could end up taking on a lighter workload than usual, especially now that Jeff Wilson has had more time to get ramped up after he was limited to just seven snaps on offense in his return from injured reserve during last week's loss to the Eagles.

Gary Brightwell RB | CIN
Giants' Gary Brightwell: Clear to play vs. Jets
Brightwell (hamstring) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game versus the Jets, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Brightwell is in line to return from a three-game absence in Week 8. With Saquon Barkley and Matt Breida both also healthy headed into Sunday's game, Brightwell figures to settle into a reserve role.
-
Zack Moss RB | CIN
Colts' Zack Moss: Questionable after missed practice
Moss (elbow/heel) didn't practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints.
Moss sandwiched a pair of absences from practices around Thursday's limited session. Even if he suits up Sunday against a Saints defense that's allowing just 98.7 rushing yards per game, Moss could see a workload reduction after he and Jonathan Taylor operated in a near-even split of the backfield snaps over the previous two weeks. Taylor had been expected to gradually take over the lead role, and Moss's injuries could speed up that process.
-
Aaron Jones RB | MIN
Packers' Aaron Jones: Avoids injury designation
Jones (hamstring) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Minnesota, though head coach Matt LaFleur said Friday that the running back isn't at "100 percent, by any stretch," Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Jones will play for a second straight week but may again be part of a timeshare or perhaps even the No. 2 option behind AJ Dillon, who had 17 touches for 95 yards in last Sunday's 19-17 loss to Denver. In Week 7, Jones took 11 touches for 57 yards, and while it's certainly possible his role expands this week against a division rival, there's also a chance Dillon gets more than half the snaps and carries again. It's a tough situation with no clear answers for fantasy managers rostering one or both of the Green Bay running backs.

Jerick McKinnon RB | KC
Chiefs' Jerick McKinnon: Cleared to play Week 8
McKinnon (groin) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Broncos after practicing fully Friday.
McKinnon sandwiched a Thursday absence between a pair of full practices and will be available as Kansas City goes for a 17th consecutive head-to-head win against the Broncos. Denver has allowed the third-most receiving yards to running backs this season, so McKinnon's pass-catching skills could prove crucial in this matchup, even with Isiah Pacheco handling the majority of snaps out of Kansas City's backfield.
