Keaton Mitchell RB | LAC
Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: Nursing hamstring injury
Mitchell was a limited participant in Thursday's practice due to a hamstring injury.
Mitchell wasn't included on the Ravens' initial Week 10 injury report released Wednesday, so his limitations in Thursday's session seem to be indicative of an in-practice setback. The rookie out of East Carolina will still have a chance to practice again in some capacity Friday to put himself in a better position to play Sunday against the Browns, but the mid-week appearance on the injury report suddenly halts some of the momentum Mitchell had built over the past week. Head coach John Harbaugh had previously suggested that Mitchell would become a regular part of the backfield rotation with Gus Edwards and Justice Hill after busting out for 138 yards and a touchdown on nine carries in the Ravens' blowout win over the Seahawks this past Sunday.

Aaron Jones RB | MIN
Packers' Aaron Jones: Another limited practice
Jones (hamstring) practiced on a limited basis Thursday.
The Packers continue to take it easy on Jones during the week as he tends to the residual effects of his Week 1 hamstring issue and his attempts to play through it. He finally was unleashed out of the backfield this past Sunday versus the Rams, taking 20 carries for 73 yards and one touchdown to go with four catches for 26 more yards. Meanwhile, fellow RB AJ Dillon had 10 touches for 43 total yards in that contest. Assuming Jones is active Sunday in Pittsburgh, a similar breakdown of reps between him and Dillon likely will come to pass.

David Montgomery RB | HOU
Lions' David Montgomery: Logs full practice Thursday
Montgomery (ribs) practiced in full Thursday.
The Lions didn't get in any on-field work Wednesday, when they listed Montgomery as a full participant. One day later, he again received the same listing, only this time the team practiced. Montgomery thus is poised to see his first game action since Week 6 on Sunday at the Chargers, putting an end to a two-game absence. The biggest question mark in Detroit's backfield moving forward is the breakdown of snaps between Montgomery and rookie Jahmyr Gibbs, the latter of whom tallied 51 touches for 315 yards from scrimmage and two rushing TDs while the former was sidelined.

Khalil Herbert RB | NYJ
Bears' Khalil Herbert: Won't return Week 10
The Bears didn't activate Herbert (ankle) from injured reserve ahead of Thursday's game against the Panthers, Chris Emma of 670TheScore.com reports.
After the Bears designated Herbert for return from IR on Monday, he was listed as a full participant on all three of the team's Week 10 injury reports. Despite the estimated activity level, though, he won't make his first appearance since Week 5, when he initially sustained a high right-ankle sprain. In the meantime, D'Onta Foreman will continue to lead Chicago's backfield, with Roschon Johnson and Darrynton Evans mixing in behind him. Herbert's next chance for game action is Sunday, Nov. 19 at Detroit.

Kendre Miller RB | NO
Saints' Kendre Miller: Idle for Thursday's practice
Miller (ankle) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Miller appears to be trending in the wrong direction for Sunday's game against the Vikings; he's now been out of commission for the Saints' first two Week 10 practices. Even when healthy, Miller has been handling only a light role of late following Jamaal Williams' return from injured reserve Week 7. Over the ensuing three games, Miller has served as the clear No. 3 back behind Alvin Kamara and Williams, playing single-digit snaps on offense in each of those contests while carrying just four times for 10 yards and adding two receptions for 40 yards.

Dameon Pierce RB | PHI
Texans' Dameon Pierce: Remains sidelined Thursday
Pierce (ankle) didn't practice Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Pierce also missed Wednesday's session, so what the running back is able to do Friday will be telling in terms of his chances of playing Sunday against the Bengals. If Pierce misses a second straight game this weekend, Devin Singletary would continue to serve as Houston's lead option out of the backfield.

Khalil Herbert RB | NYJ
Bears' Khalil Herbert: May not be activated for Thursday
Herbert (ankle) is officially listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Panthers, but the Bears aren't expected to activate him from injured reserve ahead of the Week 10 contest, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
After missing the Bears' last four games, Herbert was designated for return from IR on Monday and was listed as a full practice participant on each of the team's three injury reports this week. However, due to the quick turnaround for the Week 10 game following this past Sunday's loss to the Saints, the Bears held mostly walk-through workouts, so Herbert hasn't had a chance to properly gauge the health of his right ankle in a traditional practice setting. With that in mind, the Bears are likely to err on the side of caution and hold Herbert out Thursday, which would allow D'Onta Foreman to continue serving as the team's lead back while Roschon Johnson, Darrynton Evans and Travis Homer operate as complementary options. An official update on Herbert's status should come around 4:00 p.m. ET, when the Bears will have to finalize any transactions related to Thursday's game.

Jahmyr Gibbs RB | DET
Lions' Jahmyr Gibbs: May cut into Montgomery's lead role
Lions head coach Dan Campbell indicated Monday that Gibbs could see an uptick in his work in the team's backfield rotation during the second half of the season, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. "I don't think necessarily, talking to you right now, that I see Gibbs getting 65 plays. I don't see that," Campbell said. "But he's going to get his fair share now. We know what we can be and he's growing, so I think it'll be a little bit by committee and make sure we get those guys touches. Gibbs'll get his touches."
After missing two straight games with a hamstring injury, Gibbs returned to action Week 7 and took hold of a lead role in the absence of David Montgomery (rib). In a loss to the Ravens in Week 7 and a win over the Raiders in Week 8, Gibbs played 86 and 69 percent of the Lions' snaps on offense, respectively, compiling 220 yards and two touchdowns (on 37 carries) and 14 receptions for 95 yards (on 15 targets) between the two contests. Though Montgomery was listed as a full practice participant Wednesday coming out of the Lions' Week 9 bye and appears poised to play Sunday against the Chargers, Campbell's comments suggest that Montgomery could cede more work to the Gibbs than he had on the occasions when both backs were available in three of the Lions' first four games. In those three games, Gibbs still averaged just shy of 12 touches (7.3 carries, 4.3 receptions), but the rookie's ability to handle even heavier workloads over the last two contests without sacrificing much efficiency might be reason enough for Campbell to have him split reps with Montgomery in relatively equitable fashion moving forward.

Kenny McIntosh RB | SEA
Seahawks' Kenny McIntosh: Logs full practice Wednesday
McIntosh (knee) was a full participant at practice Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
McIntosh is still on IR after being designated to return Oct. 25. He logged three full practices last week but wasn't activated ahead of Sunday's loss to Baltimore, though head coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that the rookie running back "possibly could" make his NFL debut this coming Sunday against Washington, per Boyle. McIntosh's chances of playing Week 10 would increase if DeeJay Dallas, who sat out practice Wednesday due to a shoulder injury, isn't able to suit up.

DeeJay Dallas RB | JAC
Seahawks' DeeJay Dallas: Misses practice, will try to play
Dallas (shoulder) sat out practice Wednesday, but head coach Pete Carroll said the running back will try to play Sunday versus Washington, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Dallas hurt his shoulder in Sunday's loss to the Ravens and needed help getting off the field after a punt. Carroll said Monday that the 25-year-old was still "pretty sore," but the coach then said Wednesday that Dallas was "bouncing around" while catching punts and running around during Wednesday's walkthrough. Dallas will try to play Week 10 against the Commanders, and if he's able to do so, he should again serve as the Seahawks' primary punt returner.
