  • Miles Sanders RB | DAL

Panthers' Miles Sanders: Forgettable night in loss

Sanders rushed twice for minus-5 yards and brought in both targets for 15 yards in the Panthers' 16-13 loss to the Bears on Thursday night.

Sanders once again tracked notably behind backfield mate Chuba Hubbard in workload, logging seven fewer carries. While he enjoyed a modest pass-catching role, it did nothing appreciable for his fantasy output. Sanders opened the season as the clear lead back and logged double-digit carries in three of his first four games, but he's been at seven totes or fewer in the subsequent four contests. While there could well be further transition in the pecking order over the second half of the season, Sanders' fantasy outlook appears dim heading into a Week 11 home matchup against the Cowboys on Nov. 19.

  • Chuba Hubbard RB | CAR

Panthers' Chuba Hubbard: Serves as lead back in loss

Hubbard rushed nine times for 23 yards and brought in both targets for 16 yards in the Panthers' 16-13 loss to the Bears on Thursday night.

Hubbard outpaced backfield mate Miles Sanders by seven carries but couldn't do much with his workload against one of the league's top run defenses. The third-year back fell just short of a third straight double-digit carry tally, and he appears to have a grip on the top role in the ground attack for the time being. Hubbard and the rest of the Panthers offense draw an unenviable matchup against an aggressive Cowboys defense in a Week 11 clash on Nov. 19.

  • D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE

Bears' D'Onta Foreman: Another solid effort Thursday

Foreman rushed 21 times for 80 yards and a touchdown and secured both targets for 12 yards in the Bears' 16-13 win over the Panthers on Thursday night.

Khalil Herbert (ankle) wasn't activated from injured reserve ahead of Thursday's game, affording Foreman at least one more run as the lead back. The bruising veteran took advantage of the opportunity to churn out another workman-like performance, one that featured his third rushing score of the season in the form of a four-yard run just past the halfway point of the third quarter. Foreman has eclipsed 80 rushing yards in three of his last four games, but with 10 days until Chicago's Week 11 divisional road showdown against the Lions, Herbert is likely to return for that contest and put a dent into Foreman's workload to some degree.

  • Kenny McIntosh RB | SEA

Seahawks' Kenny McIntosh: Not listed on injury report

McIntosh (knee) was not listed on the injury report Thursday after practicing in full Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

McIntosh remains on injured reserve even after being designated to return Oct. 25 and practicing last week. The 2023 seventh-round pick is fourth on Seattle's running back depth chart behind DeeJay Dallas, who returned to practice Thursday after missing Wednesday's session.

  • DeeJay Dallas RB | JAC

    Seahawks' DeeJay Dallas: Practices Thursday

Dallas (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice Thursday after missing Wednesday's session, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

The running back and punt returner hurt his shoulder during Sunday's loss to the Ravens. Dallas' status in Friday's practice should help determine whether he plays Sunday against the Commanders. Dallas has five carries for 14 yards and four catches for 11 yards from scrimmage this season.

  • Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Gets back to full participation

Walker (chest) practiced fully Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Walker is tending to a health concern for the third time this season, but after sitting out Wednesday's session due to a chest injury, he was uninhibited one day later. His workload has been scaled back somewhat the last two games, resulting in 19 touches for 87 yards from scrimmage during that stretch. Walker will be looking to bounce back Sunday versus a Commanders defense that has conceded both the 11th-most yards per carry (4.2) and receptions (44) to opposing running backs in nine games this season.

  • D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE

Bears' D'Onta Foreman: Likely to remain lead back Thursday

Foreman is expected to remain the Bears' lead option out of the backfield Thursday against the Panthers after Chicago didn't activate Kahlil Herbert (ankle) from injured reserve for Week 10, Larry Mayer of the Bears' official site reports.

While Herbert was sidelined for each of the last four games and while Roschon Johnson was sidelined with a concussion for Weeks 6 and 7, Foreman -- who had been a healthy inactive Weeks 2 through 5 -- took the reins of the Chicago backfield. After accounting for 187 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns on 35 touches over his first two starts, Foreman proceeded to remain the Bears' top back while Johnson was back in the fold for the past two weeks, out-touching the rookie by a 30-12 margin. Herbert was designated for return from IR on Monday and was listed as a full practice participant throughout the week, but the Bears will wait at least one more week before adding him back to the roster. With the complexion of the Chicago backfield for Thursday's game being the same it as has been for the past two weeks, look for Foreman to once again lead the way in carries while Johnson mixes in for change-of-pace work.

  • Browns' Pierre Strong: Gets in limited practice

Strong (hamstring) returned to practice Thursday, getting in a limited session, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.

Strong missed practice Wednesday, but his Thursday return puts him on track for Sunday against the Ravens. With Jerome Ford back healthy alongside Kareem Hunt, Strong played just five offensive snaps last week against the Cardinals, rushing three times for nine yards and catching one pass for minus-seven yards.

  • Cardinals' Emari Demercado: Still not practicing

Demercado (toe) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Demercado has been listed as a DNP on five consecutive injury reports due to a toe issue and may be in line for a second absence in a row Sunday against the Falcons. The Cardinals could seal his fate Friday as they did one week ago, but perhaps the biggest question mark in the team's backfield is the status of James Conner, who has missed the minimum four games on injured reserve due to a knee concern and practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday and Thursday. If neither Conner nor Demercado are available this weekend, Keaontay Ingram and Tony Jones likely will split the RB reps for a second straight contest.

  • James Conner RB | ARI

Cardinals' James Conner: Another limited showing

Conner (knee) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Conner now has managed back-to-back capped sessions since the Cardinals designated him for return from injured reserve Wednesday. He's missed the minimum four games that he must stay on IR, but the team doesn't have to make a decision regarding his activation from that list until Saturday afternoon. In the end, how Conner is listed on Friday's practice report could unveil whether he has a chance to suit up Sunday against the Falcons. Meanwhile, fellow running back Emari Demercado hasn't practiced the last two weeks, leaving Keaontay Ingram and Tony Jones as Arizona's only healthy backfield options on its active roster.
