Davis Mills QB | HOU
Texans' Davis Mills: Two costly picks
Mills completed 20 of 32 passes for 245 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's 23-20 loss against the Bears.
Mills was decent for much of the game, and he spread targets around to many of his pass catchers. He led the Texans on a pair of touchdown drives, the first of which he capped with a four-yard touchdown toss to Jordan Akins. However, he also threw an interception with just over a minute remaining in the fourth quarter that led directly to the game-winning field goal for the Bears. Mills has reached 240 passing yards in two of three games this season, but he also has only three total touchdowns.

Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN
Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Manages Titans to victory
Tannehill completed 19 of 27 pass attempts for 264 yards, one touchdown and one interception Sunday against the Raiders. He added a rushing touchdown.
Tannehill bounced back after a dreadful Week 2 performance at Buffalo and managed the Titans to their first win of the season. He spread targets fairly evenly among his pass catchers but showed particular rapport with Robert Woods by connecting on gains of 41, 21 and 16 yards. Tannehill also delivered a pair of short scores, first on a two-yard toss to Geoff Swaim and then by sneaking in on a one-yard rush on his own. On most occasions, Tannehill remains an efficient passer but on limited volume.

Jared Goff QB | DET
Lions' Jared Goff: Loses some efficiency
Goff completed 25 of 41 passes for 277 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 28-24 loss to the Vikings.
Goff was excellent in the first half, racking up 179 yards and a touchdown on 24 attempts. However, he slowed significantly in the final two quarters and failed to throw for multiple touchdowns in a game for the first time this season. He's done a good job taking care of the ball three games into the campaign, but otherwise, his 6.7 yards per attempt and 58.9 completion percentage look remarkably similar to his numbers last year with the Lions.

Justin Herbert QB | LAC
Chargers' Justin Herbert: Uneven performance in loss
Herbert (ribs) completed 25 of his 45 attempts for 297 yards and one touchdown to go along with one interception in Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Jaguars. He also lost a fumble.
Consecutive turnovers to begin the second quarter put the Chargers offense into overdrive in an effort to catch up from a two-score deficit, but inefficiencies only seemed to pile up from there as the game quickly got out of control. Herbert suffered fractured rib cartilage in last Thursday's loss to the Chiefs and needed a pain-killing injection in order to be cleared for the Week 3 contest, but he mostly looked like himself albeit with noticeably less mobility outside the pocket. Expect the Chargers and Herbert to continue to manage the rib issue with a methodical practice regime for the coming weeks, although reinforcements could be on the way soon as Keenan Allen, who has missed the last two weeks with a hamstring injury, should have a chance to play in Week 4.
-
Mac Jones QB | SF
Patriots' Mac Jones: Likely has high-ankle sprain
Jones is believed to have suffered a left high-ankle sprain in Sunday's 37-26 loss to the Ravens, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
If Jones' MRI on Monday reveals a high-ankle sprain as expected, the second-year quarterback would likely face a multi-week absence. Brian Hoyer would start in Week 4 against the Packers if Jones is unable to play, while rookie fourth-round pick Bailey Zappe would likely slot in as the backup.

Kyler Murray QB | MIN
Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Career-high passing volume Sunday
Murray completed 37 of 58 passes for 314 yards without a touchdown or interception in Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Rams. He also gained eight yards on two carries.
The attempts and completions were both career highs for Murray, but he averaged only 5.4 yards per attempt and the volume didn't result in much offense. The Cardinals' offense has mostly struggled to begin the season aside from last week's second-half comeback against the Raiders, leaving Murray with a pedestrian 3:1 TD:INT heading into a Week 4 tilt against the Panthers.
-
Derek Carr QB | NO
Raiders' Derek Carr: Tops 300 yards
Carr completed 26 of 44 passes for 303 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 24-22 loss to the Titans.
Carr benefitted from game script and was forced to take to the air 44 times as the Raiders attempted to work back from a multi-score deficit. He spread targets around for the most part evenly to his pass catchers, though he showed surprising rapport with Mack Hollins -- highlighted by a nine-yard touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter. Carr has at least 250 passing yards and two touchdowns in all three games this season, providing a relatively safe fantasy floor.
-
Geno Smith QB | NYJ
Seahawks' Geno Smith: Eclipses 300 yards in loss
Smith completed 32 of 44 pass attempts for 325 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Falcons.
Smith was able to wake up Seattle's offense following last week's dud against the 49ers, when the team's only touchdown was via special teams. The veteran quarterback was able to get both of his talented wideouts involved, throwing double-digit targets to DK Metcalf (five catches, 64 yards and a touchdown) and Tyler Lockett (nine receptions for 76 yards). Smith is not a sexy name in season-long formats, but he could be a value play in DFS with a favorable matchup against the Lions (31.0 points per game allowed this season) next Sunday.
-
Kirk Cousins QB | LV
Vikings' Kirk Cousins: Two touchdowns in victory
Cousins completed 24 of 41 passes for 260 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 28-24 win over the Lions.
Cousins was forced to focus on his peripheral options as the Lions defensive game plan was to keep the ball out of Justin Jefferson's hands. He took advantage, finding Adam Thielen and K.J. Osborn for touchdowns of one and 28 yards, respectively. Cousins averaged only 6.3 yards per attempt, so he wasn't particularly efficient. However, he bounced back from a poor Week 2 performance and has managed at least 260 passing yards and multiple touchdowns in two of three games on the campaign.
-
Matthew Stafford QB | LAR
Rams' Matthew Stafford: Quiet in Sunday's win
Stafford completed 18 of 25 passes for 249 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Sunday's 20-12 win over the Cardinals.
Neither offense could get much going, and when the Rams did get close to the end zone they relied on their ground game to punch in the ball. Stafford had thrown at least one TD in 23 straight games to begin his tenure in Los Angeles, including last year's playoff run to a Super Bowl title, and he'll look to begin a new streak in Week 4 on the road against the 49ers.
