  • P.J. Walker QB | SEA

Panthers' P.J. Walker: Sees action late in Sunday's loss

Walker completed five of six passes for 60 yards after replacing Baker Mayfield (ankle) late in Sunday's 37-15 loss to the 49ers.

The 27-year-old quarterback handled Carolina's final possession after Mayfield left the game, but Walker ran out of time to put any points on the board. Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports that Mayfield was wearing a walking boot after the game, and if he ends up missing additional time, Walker could get the start in Week 6 against Aaron Donald and the Rams.

  • Andy Dalton QB | PHI

Saints' Andy Dalton: Manages Saints to win

Dalton completed 16 of 24 passes for 187 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 39-32 win over the Seahawks.

Dalton made his second consecutive start in the absence of Jameis Winston (back). While his stat line was uninspiring, Dalton successfully distributed the ball to key playmakers such as Chris Olave (concussion) and Alvin Kamara. Though Dalton has filled in relatively effectively for Winston, it's worth noting that Taysom Hill lined up as the team's quarterback on several occasions, taking away opportunity from Dalton. Hill could remain involved, particularly so long as the Saints remain without Michael Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (ankle).

  • 49ers' Jimmy Garoppolo: Tosses two TDs in win

Garoppolo completed 18 of 30 passes for 253 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 37-15 win over the Panthers.

It's the first time this season Garoppolo has tossed multiple TDs, as he hit Tevin Coleman in the first quarter for a nine-yard score before finding Deebo Samuel in the third on a four-yard strike. Garoppolo has increased his passing yards total every week since taking over from Trey Lance (ankle), giving him plenty of momentum heading into a Week 6 meeting with the Falcons.

  • Kyler Murray QB | MIN

    Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Struggles continue

Murray completed 28 of 42 passes for 250 yards, one touchdown and one interception against Philadelphia on Sunday while running for 42 yards on four carries.

Murray has yet to post a clean box score in 2022, making this the fifth disappointment in a row. The Cardinals organization has issues that have nothing to do with Murray, but that means he has only so much control over his own destiny. The good news is the Seattle defense seemingly can't stop anyone, so Murray should be able to generate some momentum against the Seahawks in Week 6. The return of DeAndre Hopkins could give Murray a big boost in Week 7 when the Cardinals get a tougher test against New Orleans.

  • Panthers' Baker Mayfield: Needs walking boot after loss

Mayfield was checked for an ankle injury at halftime of Sunday's 37-15 loss to the 49ers, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Per Gantt, Mayfield had a walking boot on after the game.

Mayfield stayed in after being evaluated at halftime and was ultimately replaced by P.J. Walker for Carolina's last possession with the Panthers trailing 37-15. The post-game walking boot suggests that exit may have been more than precautionary, so Mayfield's ability to practice will bear monitoring ahead of Carolina's Week 6 road game against the Rams. Mayfield completed 20 of 36 passes for 215 yards and one interception in addition to being sacked four times prior to being lifted from the blowout loss.

  • Jalen Hurts QB | PHI

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Scores twice on ground

Hurts completed 27 of 36 passes for 239 yards against Arizona on Sunday while running for 61 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.

Hurts was somewhat disappointing as a passer while the Eagles offense scored just 20 points, but Philadelphia emerged with the win and avoided the trap game to go 5-0 through five weeks. Hurts should do better as a passer most weeks so long as he has A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert to throw to, and, as this game emphasized, he often gets the most enviable cut of the Eagles ground game too. Hurts should continue to produce like a top fantasy quarterback, especially if he can get left tackle Jordan Mailata (shoulder) back before the Eagles face a potent Dallas pass rush in Week 6.

  • Browns' Jacoby Brissett: Comes up short in Week 5 loss

Brissett completed 21 of 34 passes for 230 yards with one touchdown and one interception and rushed three times for 32 yards in the Browns' 30-28 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.

Brissett turned in yet another serviceable stat line, but after leading an 11-play, 75-yard touchdown drive, he threw an interception in the end zone on the Browns' penultimate possession and then threw back-to-back incompletions on Cleveland's final march, which forced a difficult 54-yard field-goal attempt for rookie Cade York that sailed wide right. Brissett did show excellent chemistry with Amari Cooper and David Njoku, who were on the receiving end of 13 of his completions, 164 of his yards and his one touchdown pass (Cooper). Brissett has come up short at some key moments thus far, but he should be able to keep his team competitive in a Week 6 home matchup versus his old Patriots squad.

  • Justin Herbert QB | LAC

Chargers' Justin Herbert: Takes back seat in win

Herbert completed 22 of 34 pass attempts for 228 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-28 win over the Browns. He also carried the ball five times for 13 yards.

Herbert took a back seat as the Chargers compiled 238 rushing yards against a porous Browns run defense. The young quarterback has been absolutely dynamic to begin the season, as Herbert is currently second in the NFL in passing yards and near the top of the league in TD:INT (10:2). The fact he's done almost all this damage without top wideout Keenan Allen (hamstring) is all the more surprising. Expect things to get a bit more difficult for Herbert and company next week against a tough Broncos defense.

  • Zach Wilson QB | NO

Jets' Zach Wilson: Scores one of NY's five rushing TDs

Wilson completed 14 of 21 passes for 210 yards while adding two yards and a touchdown on four rushing attempts in Sunday's 40-17 win over the Dolphins.

Wilson's 79-yard pass to Breece Hall on the final play of the first quarter set up a one-yard Michael Carter rushing touchdown to open the second, and the quarterback ran one in himself from five yards out later in the first half. New York went on to add three more rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter as Wilson's mistake-free performance allowed the Jets to pull away in a game they led wire to wire. Between Hall and Carter in the backfield and the wide receiver trio of Garrett Wilson, Corey Davis and Elijah Moore, the Jets have surrounded their second-year quarterback with weapons, and Wilson has responded by winning his first two starts of the season since returning from a preseason knee injury. He'll look to extend that winning streak in Week 6 against the Packers.

  • Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence: Turnover woes continue

Lawrence completed 25 of 47 pass attempts for 286 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions while adding 29 yards on four carries in Sunday's 13-6 loss to Houston.

Lawrence failed to deliver at key points of long drives, which explains his new season high in yards despite leading zero touchdown drives. Last year's first-overall pick didn't have any fumbles after losing four last week, but he threw an untimely red zone interception in the second quarter and ended the game with a second pick on an underthrown Hail Mary attempt. Lawrence has shown slight improvement over his rough rookie campaign, but the results haven't matched the hype so far from a fantasy perspective. Things won't get easier for the sophomore quarterback, as the Jaguars will take on a stout Indianapolis defense that could have star linebacker Shaquille Leonard (concussion) back by next Sunday.
