Redskins QB Kirk Cousins seeking to learn from Week 4 disaster
Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins is trying to turn a negative into a positive, which is why he is hoping to learn from watching the film of his Week 4 performance against the Giants in which he tossed four interceptions.
Cousins told the media Thursday that he learned different things from each pick, including not throwing blind and when to take a sack.
He performed well in his first two games after starter Robert Griffin III was lost to injury. Cousins has completed 71 of 114 passes on the year for 934 yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions.

Report: Vikings leaning toward sitting QB Teddy Bridgewater
Signs are pointing to Vikings rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater not playing Thursday night at Green Bay, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Bridgewater, who performed well in his NFL debut the past two games, has been dealing with a sprained ankle. Mike Zimmer has hinted that the team does not want to risk worsening the injury by playing Bridgewater after a short work week.

FFT Blog: Looking at the most-dropped list
At the Fantasy Football Today blog, we took a look at the most-dropped players in CBSSports.com leagues.
The five most-dropped players are Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins and tight end Niles Paul, Chargers running back Donald Brown, Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams and Buccaneers running back Bobby Rainey.
You probably won't regret dropping Williams or Paul given their injuries, and Cousins' next few matchups will probably bring out more bad habits. However, if Brown is available in your league (as he is in 19 percent of leagues), you might want to snatch him. He has a tough matchup in Week 5, but we think he can run all over the Raiders in Week 6.

Derek Carr believes he'll play against Chargers
Raiders quarterback Derek Carr believes he can play against the Chargers Week 6, according to the Bay Area News Group.
Carr injured his ankle against the Dolphins Week 4. The Raiders are on a bye Week 5, so Carr will have an extra week to get healthy.

Vikes say Teddy Bridgewater will be gametime decision
Vikings coach Mike Zimmer told SiriusXM NFL Radio that rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (ankle) will be a gametime decision for Thursday's contest at Green Bay. "It's a long season, so we don't want to put him at risk," Zimmer said.
Minnesota listed Bridgewater as questionable. He did not practice Monday or Tuesday and was a limited participant in Wednesday's walkthrough, per NFL Network.

No point in hoping for a Kirk Cousins bounce back in Week 5
If Kirk Cousins was hoping for a soft landing after his disastrous performance last Thursday, he won't find one in Week 5, with the Seahawks on the schedule for the Redskins.
Cousins' Fantasy outlook took a big hit last week, and things likely won't get much better against the Seahawks defense. The Seahawks have struggled against the pass in recent weeks, allowing 54 combined points in Weeks 2 and 3, however those games came against Philip Rivers and Peyton Manning. We are still trying to figure out just how good Cousins might be, but it seems fair to say there is a pretty massive step down from that duo to him.
Cousins is going to face a Seahawks defense fresh off a bye and looking to make up for their recent struggles. The Seahawks have five sacks through three games, and should add to that total Monday, with Redskins left tackle Trent Williams dealing with a knee injury. Tight ends Jordan Reed and Niles Paul also enter the game with injury questions, which could make Cousins' life even more difficult.
Cousins could go a long way toward silencing some doubters if he can hold his own against Seattle, but we aren't betting on that happening. Look for better options in Week 5; with only Derek Carr and Ryan Tannehill on bye, it shouldn't be hard to find them.

Which QB's should you target on waivers?
With just two teams on bye and few teams dealing with serious injuries at the position, there aren't many needs to fill at quarterback this week. Still, Jamey Eisenberg's Week 5 Waiver-Wire column highlights a handful of names you might want to target before waivers run Wednesday morning.
Giants QB Eli Manning headlines the list of add-worthy quarterbacks, after he lit up Washington for five touchdowns last week. He was featured on the waiver-wire column last week as well. Carson Palmer (shoulder) of the Cardinals is also on the list, as is Joe Flacco of the Ravens, Alex Smith of the Chiefs, Blake Bortles of the Jaguars and Teddy Bridgewater (ankle) of the Vikings to round out the top-5.
Kirk Cousins, Jake Locker and Geno Smith are mentioned as potentially droppable options, if you need a roster spot.

Teddy Bridgewater up in the air for Thursday night
Vikings rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (ankle) is doing better Tuesday and might get some practice reps, but his status for Thursday night's game at Green Bay remains unclear, coach Mike Zimmer told the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Bridgewater wouldn't put a percentage on his chances of playing.

Jimmy Garoppolo impresses in garbage time
Patriots rookie quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo replaced Tom Brady in the fourth quarter of Monday's blowout loss and played well, completing 6 of 7 throws for 70 yards and a touchdown. It was Garoppolo's first action this season.
Garoppolo's first NFL throw was a 5-yard completion to Julian Edelman. On the same drive he found Brandon LaFell for 37 yards, then tight end Rob Gronkowski for a 13-yard touchdown.
Garoppolo and the Pats host Cincinnati on Sunday night.
