Baker Mayfield QB | TB
Browns' Baker Mayfield: Officially named starter
Head coach Hue Jackson officially announced Mayfield as the Browns' starting quarterback Monday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
It was only a matter of time until Jackson handed the No. 1 overall pick the keys to the offense, but Mayfield's impressive regular-season debut in last Thursday's comeback victory over the Jets gave the coach no choice than to do so as soon as possible. Considering Mayfield racked up an efficient 201 passing yards in just over two quarters of play last week, it may not be long until he becomes worthy of starting consideration in single-quarterback fantasy formats. In fact, Mayfield could make for an intriguing, high-upside fantasy play off the bat given Cleveland's Week 4 matchup with a Raiders defense that has surrendered 8.7 yards per pass attempt this season.

Tyrod Taylor QB | GB
Browns' Tyrod Taylor: Slated to back up Mayfield
Once he's cleared from his concussion, Taylor will serve as Baker Mayfield's backup.
Taylor's concussion Week 3 opened the door for Mayfield to step into the fray Thursday night against the Jets. The rookie's sharp performance in the Browns' 21-17 win then left little doubt that he'd draw the start for a Week 4 game against the Raiders. Unless Mayfield falls completely flat, or suffers an injury, Taylor will continue on as veteran QB insurance and as a mentor to the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Tyrod Taylor QB | GB
Browns' Tyrod Taylor: Not at practice
Taylor (concussion) isn't at practice Monday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
With Baker Mayfield expected to be named as the Browns' starting quarterback later in the day, Taylor's practice availability shouldn't have much impact on the game plan for Week 4 against Oakland. The Browns will turn to Drew Stanton for the backup job if Taylor isn't cleared from the concussion protocol by Sunday.

Matthew Stafford QB | LAR
Lions' Matthew Stafford: Leads upset over New England
Stafford completed 27 of 36 passes for 262 yards with two touchdowns and one interception during Sunday's 26-10 victory over the Patriots. He added 10 rushing yards on his lone carry.
Stafford built upon his solid Week 2 performance and is quickly making everyone forget about how this Lions team got blown out by the Jets in Detroit's season opener. In this one, Stafford outdueled Tom Brady by stringing together long drives in order to keep the Patriots offense on the sidelines. The Lions dominated time of possession roughly 39 minutes to 21. This development was largely a result of Detroit's newfound success in the run game, headlined by the fact that Kerryon Johnson became the organization's first 100-yard, single-game rusher since November of 2013. Sustained success on the ground may be a threat to Stafford's overall workload going forward, but there's an argument to be made that an effective running game could help the quarterback sustain drives and get his team into scoring position more frequently. Next up for Stafford is a Week 4 road matchup against a Cowboys defense that has allowed just 6.3 yards per pass attempt this season.

Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN
Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Fails to find end zone
Trubisky completed 22 of 35 passes for 220 yards and one interception in Sunday's 16-14 victory over the Cardinals.
The Bears fell behind by 14 points early, forcing Trubisky to have to throw the ball often, but he consistently was off-target when throwing downfield passes. Once the defense toughened up, helping Chicago get back into the contest, they were able to lean upon their rushing attack to get the victory, relegating the quarterback to game-manager duties. Through three games, he's averaging fewer than 200 passing yards and less than one touchdown, making him a low-upside fantasy option. He'll face the Buccaneers in Week 4.
-
Russell Wilson QB | NYG
Seahawks' Russell Wilson: Tosses two touchdowns in home debut
Wilson completed 16 of 26 passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 24-13 win over Dallas.
Wilson has put up respectable fantasy numbers thus far -- seven touchdown passes -- especially given the state of Seattle's offensive line, lack of a ground game and missing Doug Baldwin (knee). The running game finally got on track a bit, though, as Chris Carson ran for 102 yards Sunday, although it took him 32 carries to get there. Surprisingly, Wilson hasn't done much as a runner himself, rushing for just 21 yards in three games. In Week 4, Wilson will take on the Cardinals in Arizona.

Dak Prescott QB | DAL
Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Another lackluster performance
Prescott completed 19 of 34 pass attempts for just 168 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's 24-13 loss at Seattle. He also rushed two times for 21 yards.
Prescott once again had a tough time generating much offense, failing to orchestrate a touchdown drive until midway through the fourth quarter. His struggles haven't been isolated to the 2018 season, though, as he posted an ugly 1:4 TD:INT over the final three weeks of last year. With a retooled and only moderately talented receiving corps, it's hard to get excited about Prescott moving forward. His rushing ability does help his fantasy value to a certain degree, however. The third-year quarterback has a nice matchup Week 4 against the Lions, who have not played well on defense so far in 2018.

Sam Bradford QB | MIN
Cardinals' Sam Bradford: Benched in fourth quarter
Bradford was replaced by Josh Rosen in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 16-14 loss to the Bears, finishing 13-for-19 passing for 157 yards with two touchdowns, two interceptions and a lost fumble.
After tossing a pair of scores in the opening quarter, Bradford saw three consecutive drives end with punts to close out the first half. He then turned the ball over on three straight series coming out of the break, eventually giving way to Josh Rosen for the final five minutes of the game. The rookie completed four of seven passes for 36 yards and an interception, but he did nearly march the Cardinals into field-goal range right around the two-minute warning. It won't come as any surprise if Bradford is relegated to the backup job for Week 4 against Seattle, though coach Steve Wilks declined to commit to a starter when talking to the media after Sunday's loss, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
-
Jared Goff QB | DET
Rams' Jared Goff: Tosses three touchdowns
Goff completed 29 of 36 attempts for 354 yards with three touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 35-23 win over the Chargers.
Goff started off hot, completing 15 passes for nearly 200 yards in a little over a quarter of action. He did make a mistake in the second quarter, however, tossing an interception in the end zone. Goff's touchdown rate is on pace from last season, but his passing yardage is way up so far, averaging over 300 yards per game. In an elite offense with a plethora of playmakers, Goff should continue to put up good numbers, and he'll look to do so Thursday against the Vikings.

C.J. Beathard QB | JAC
49ers' C.J. Beathard: Likely in line for starting assignment
Head coach Kyle Shanahan expressed confidence in Beathard as his potential starting quarterback moving forward in the wake of the potential season-ending knee injury suffered Sunday by Jimmy Garoppolo, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Beathard figures to get the call Week 4 versus the Chargers at a minimum, with the high likelihood he's needed for much longer than that if Garoppolo has suffered a torn ACL as currently feared. Beathard was serviceable after being thrown into the No. 1 job during his rookie 2017 campaign, compiling between 201 and 294 yards in five of six starts while generating a 4:6 TD:INT. The Iowa product also displayed impressive mobility, rushing for more than 20 yards in three of his starts. Beathard will have a solid group of weapons to work with if he does take the reins of the offense, with Marquise Goodwin, Matt Breida and George Kittle particularly offering game-breaking upside, and the likes of Pierre Garcon and Alfred Morris serving as steady veteran assets. More definitive information on Garoppolo's status -- and by extension, Beathard's -- should be revealed at some point Monday.
