Colt McCoy QB | ARI
Redskins' Colt McCoy: Unlikely to return in 2018
Coach Jay Gruden admitted Thursday that McCoy will realistically require more than three weeks to recover from the surgery the quarterback underwent Tuesday to address a fractured fibula, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports.
The Redskins have thus far resisted placing McCoy on injured reserve after he suffered the lower-leg injury in Monday's loss to the Eagles, but it wouldn't be surprising if the signal-caller was ultimately shut down for good in order to free up a roster spot. Per Tarik El-Bashir of The Athletic, Gruden noted that a 2-to-3-week recovery timeline for McCoy would be "wishful thinking." Instead, it's believed McCoy will need at least a month to heal up from surgery, making it unlikely he'll be back in time for the Redskins' regular-season finale Dec. 30 against the Eagles. Mark Sanchez will replace McCoy as the team's starting quarterback Week 14 against the Giants and will likely handle the No. 1 role the rest of the way.

Sam Darnold QB | SEA
Jets' Sam Darnold: Week 14 start not assured
Darnold was a full participant in practice Thursday for the second consecutive day, but coach Todd Bowles was unwilling to confirm the rookie as the team's starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Bills, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.
On the heels of a three-game absence due to a sprained foot, Darnold's full practices on consecutive days put him on track to suit up this weekend, but Bowles may not reveal the Jets' plans at quarterback until after Friday's session. Despite the lack of a firm commitment from his coach, it would be a surprise if Darnold wasn't ultimately under center Sunday, given the Jets are incentivized to give the No. 3 overall pick as many developmental opportunities as possible over the final quarter of a non-contending campaign. Veteran Josh McCown wasn't any better of an option at quarterback while Darnold was sidelined, completing only 55 percent of his throws for 4.9 yards per attempt and a 1:4 TD:INT over three starts.

Deshaun Watson QB | CLE
Texans' Deshaun Watson: Logs limited practice session
Watson was listed as a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a right shoulder injury.
Despite opening Week 14 preparations with restrictions, Watson doesn't appear in serious danger of missing Sunday's game against the Colts. The quarterback has led the Texans to nine straight wins, completing 69.4 percent of his passes for 8.4 yards per attempt and a 16:6 TD:INT over that span. He's also added to his overall fantasy value during the winning streak with 255 yards and two scores on the ground.

Matthew Stafford QB | LAR
Lions' Matthew Stafford: Limited with back issue
Stafford was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a back injury, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
With no reports indicating Stafford's back issue is a concern, he should be able to play Sunday in Arizona, flanked by a depleted supporting cast that also includes wideouts Kenny Golladay (quad) and Bruce Ellington (back), who were also limited Wednesday. The Cardinals have allowed just 7.2 yards per pass attempt and 1.4 passing scores per game, typically getting gouged on the ground instead.

Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN
Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Practices without limitation
Trubisky (shoulder) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice.
Trubisky backed up his confidence about the health of his throwing shoulder as well as coach Matt Nagy's optimism, kicking off the week without any limitations at practice. The 24-year-old quarterback is on track to return from a two-week absence for Sunday's home game against the Rams. Only four teams have given up more passing touchdowns (26) and only five have allowed more yards per pass attempt (8.0), but the Rams defense has more than held its own against signal-callers not named Brees or Mahomes.

Sam Darnold QB | SEA
Jets' Sam Darnold: Turns in full practice
Darnold (foot) practiced fully Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
As has been reported previously, Darnold -- who has missed three games with a strained foot -- is in line return to action Sunday against the Bills, barring any setbacks. Meanwhile, Josh McCown (back), who had been starting in Darnold's place over the past three games, logged a limited practice Wednesday. The Jets haven't officially named a starter for Week 14, but Darnold's return to practice in full capacity would make it a surprise if he was bypassed for the nod.

Sam Darnold QB | SEA
Jets' Sam Darnold: Works ahead of McCown
Darnold (foot) was the first quarterback to take reps during team drills Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Cimini previously relayed that barring a setback in practice this week, Darnold -- who has missed three games with a sprained foot -- should return to action Sunday against the Bills. At 3-9, the Jets' playoff hopes have been dashed, but Darnold will look to help his team -- which has lost six straight games -- finish the season on a positive note. Darnold has nowhere to go but up if he plays Sunday, given that he tossed four picks in his last appearance during the Jets' Week 9 loss to the Dolphins.

Lamar Jackson QB | BAL
Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Expected to start again
Jackson (hip) is expected to receive another start Sunday in Kansas City, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Joe Flacco (hip) was reportedly moving around better at Wednesday's practice but is still showing some signs of limitation. Of course, there's no guarantee Flacco will start even when he's healthy, considering the Ravens have won three consecutive games with Jackson spearheading a rejuvenated rushing attack. Confirmation on the Ravens' starting quarterback may not come until later this week, but it appears the rookie will get his opportunity to try and keep the winning streak going while facing a defense ranked 15th in yards per pass attempt (7.5) and 31st in yards per carry (5.1) allowed this season. While yet to face a true dual-threat passer, the Chiefs have allowed quarterbacks to pick up 95 yards and four scores on just 20 carries.

Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN
Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Calls himself 'ahead of schedule'
Trubisky said Wednesday that his "arm feels really good" and noted that he's "ahead of schedule" in his recovery from an injury to his right shoulder, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
After Matt Nagy relayed his expectation earlier Wednesday that Trubisky will return Sunday versus the Rams, the quarterback agreed with his boss, saying he "just has to show coach." Trubisky added he's "throwing as much" as the training staff is allowing him to with the intention to start this weekend. In the end, though, his activity level in practice will determine whether an appearance is possible. If Trubisky doesn't prove himself ready to play, Chase Daniel will be under center for a third consecutive game Sunday.

Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN
Bears' Mitchell Trubisky: Trending toward return
Coach Matt Nagy said Wednesday that he believes Trubisky (shoulder) will be ready to play Sunday against the Rams, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.com reports.
During his media availability, Nagy relayed that Trubisky has been "throwing the ball well," according to Dickerson. Nagy added that Trubisky will have to look good in practice in order to make his first appearance since Week 11, so his activity level should be monitored closely to learn whether a return is possible. Chase Daniel would earn another start if Trubisky is unable to prove the health of his right throwing shoulder.
