Jeff Howe of The Athletic relays that from what's been told, the leg injury that Stidham suffered Friday "doesn't sound overly concerning."

With that in mind, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels believes that Stidham will be ready to practice the next time the Patriots are back on the field, which is slated to be Sunday. If that's the case, at that time Stidham will continue to vie with Cam Newton and Brian Hoyer for the Patriots' starting QB job, an assignment that Newton is favored to secure.

Stidham is dealing with a leg injury and isn't expected to do much work, if any, at Friday's practice, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Any absence will free up more first-team reps for Cam Newton and Brian Hoyer. Recent reports from Patriots camp suggest Stidham has been struggling, but it's possible his leg injury is part of the problem.

Winston operated as the Saints' No. 2 QB on Thursday as he continues to split work with Taysom Hill, Mike Triplett of ESPN.com reports.

After signing with New Orleans in the offseason, Winston was expected to battle for the backup job with the incumbent Hill, and that's how things are playing out thus far in camp. Hill is likely to see some work on offense regardless of his place in the quarterback pecking order, but Winston's fantasy value is tied to the health of Drew Brees.

Goff connected with tight ends Tyler Higee and Gerald Everett consistently during Wednesday's practice, Jordan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.

The Rams leaned on 12 personnel late in the 2019 campaign, and Goff finished the season with 1,643 passing yards and 11 touchdowns over the team's final five games, so it's encouraging to see Los Angeles continuing to utilize its athletic tight ends. Higbee's late-season breakout last year has been well documented, and Everett caught a touchdown pass from Goff during red-zone drills Wednesday. The pair could quickly prove to be reliable options for the 26-year-old quarterback again in 2020. Additionally, It's easy to forget that Goff's entering just his fourth full season as a starter, and his pricey contract often fogs over his serviceable fantasy production the past three years.

The Titans waived McDonald on Wednesday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

McDonald's spot on the roster was swiftly occupied by veteran signal-caller Trevor Siemian. The rookie seventh-round pick could draw interest from other organizations as a developmental project.

Tannehill (undisclosed) resumed practicing fully Tuesday, Erik Bacharach of The Tennessean reports.

Tannehill missed practiced Monday, but coach Mike Vrabel subsequently relayed that there was "no issue," a notion supported by the quarterback's return to work a day later.

Siemian agreed to a contract with the Titans on Wednesday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

In a corresponding move, the team waived seventh-round pick Cole McDonald, who had been penciled in as the team's No. 3 signal-caller behind Ryan Tannehill and Logan Woodside. Siemian, a seventh-round pick himself (in 2015), gives the Titans a quarterback with prior NFL starting experience behind Tannehill, who signed a long-term extension in March.

Bridgewater has shown good mobility and an improving rapport with wideout Robby Anderson early in training camp, Jonathan M. Alexander of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Bridgewater certainly won't be mistaken for a former track star, but the quarterback is capable of scampering for a first down here and there. More importantly, it's the turbo-charged Anderson whose speed has impressed at camp thus far, as he's reportedly gotten consistent separation and has emerged as a favorite target of Bridgewater. With D.J. Moore, Curtis Samuel and Christian McCaffrey also ranking among his top weapons, Bridgewater undoubtedly has a dynamic set of pass catchers at his disposal as he re-familiarizes himself with offensive coordinator Joe Brady this season.

Trubisky is taking turns during practice each day with Nick Foles as the starting quarterback, Adam Jahns of The Athletic reports.

This news won't help fantasy managers make a decision as to which Chicago quarterback is the better fantasy option, and with no preseason games, there may not be clarity unless one of them begins to receive regular first-team reps. If he wins the job, Trubisky is likely to function as a low-end QB2 for fantasy managers.

Stidham reportedly outplayed Cam Newton and Brian Hoyer on Monday, but it was a different story on the second day of padded practice as the second-year pro had eight completion and three INTs on his 11 pass attempts. Newton remains the favorite for the Week 1 start, while Hoyer may be part of the competition in name only. Stidham lands somewhere in the middle, hoping to make an impression over the next few weeks.
