Allen completed 26 of 35 passes for 324 yards and two touchdowns while adding 54 yards and a touchdown on 11 rushing attempts in Saturday's 27-24 wild-card round win over the Colts.

Allen showcased his creativity and improved decision-making on a three-yard touchdown pass to Dawson Knox late in the first quarter, flipping the ball to the tight end when he saw Knox wide open in the end zone on a play that was designed to be a quarterback draw. He then gave the Bills a 14-10 lead just before halftime with a five-yard touchdown run to cap a controversial drive that included a pair of sideline catches by Gabriel Davis that were both ruled in bounds to account for 56 yards, followed by an interception called back on a penalty and another would-be interception overturned on replay. Allen added a 35-yard touchdown pass to favorite target Stefon Diggs to take a 24-10 lead early in the fourth quarter, and though Buffalo's offense largely stalled after that, Indianapolis' comeback bid came up short. With his first career playoff win in the books, Allen will have another home playoff game in the AFC divisional round next week.

Goff (right thumb) is active for Saturday's wild-card game but is expected to back up John Wolford, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports says.

The Rams haven't officially made the announcement, but regardless Goff will miss just one game after having surgery on his right thumb only 12 days earlier. Expect Wolford to act as the starter initially, but it's unclear if Goff will be worked into the offensive gameplan later on.

Coach Sean McVay told Jay Glazer of Fox Sports that Wolford is expected to be the Rams' starting quarterback for Saturday's wild-card game at Seattle.

Jared Goff is less than two weeks removed from undergoing surgery on a dislocated right thumb, and while he's active he may just be suiting up in case of an emergency. Meanwhile, Wolford is slated to direct L.A.'s offense for the second straight contest after completing 22 of 38 passes for 231 yards and one interception Week 17 against the Cardinals. He also added 56 yards on six carries.

Goff (right thumb) is listed as active Saturday in Seattle, Eric D. Williams of SI.com reports.

The Rams have yet to make a call on who between Goff and John Wolford will start for the Rams, but the former will miss just one game after undergoing surgery on his right thumb back on Dec. 28. According to Omar Ruiz of NFL Network, Goff again was wearing a small bandage on the appendage, but he completed warmups without issue and even unleashed a 60-yard pass during the session. As a result, Goff seems like a good bet to be under center for L.A.'s first drive of the game.

Walker finished the 2020 season with 32 completions on 56 attempts for 368 passing yards, one touchdown and five interceptions in four games played.

Walker, after a successful spell in the XFL, reunited with his college coach Matt Rhule in Carolina last offseason. In his first NFL campaign, the 25-year-old served as Teddy Bridgewater's backup, but got to start with the veteran sidelined in Week 11 versus the Lions. Walker finished with 258 passing yards, a touchdown and two interceptions while leading the Panthers to a 20-0 victory. While that performance supplanted his status as a capable second option, Walker didn't fare as well in relief of an injured Bridgewater in Week 17 versus the Saints, completing just five of 14 attempts for 95 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions. Although he remains under contract for next season, Walker's job could be in jeopardy if Carolina opts to sign or draft another quarterback to go with Bridgewater in 2021.

Taylor completed 16 of 30 passes for 208 yards across two different games in the 2020 season.

The veteran really only played one game, starting the season opener before a medical accident left Taylor with a punctured lung, which forced rookie Justin Herbert into the starting lineup. The 2020 No. 6 overall pick ran off with the job from there, eventually setting a number of rookie passing records en route to being a frontrunner for the Rookie of the Year award. With Taylor set to enter unrestricted free agency this offseason, the 31-year-old could try to catch on with another team that may give him an opportunity at a starting job.

Wolford is "prepared to start" in place of Jared Goff (right thumb) on Saturday in Seattle, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

According to Rapoport, Wolford took on most of the reps with the first-team offense this week as Goff works his way back from Dec. 28 surgery on a dislocated right thumb. Coach Sean McVay mentioned Thursday that he hasn't made a decision on who between Goff and Wolford will be under center for the Rams, but the former "is pushing to play." Such a call may not be known until shortly before Saturday's 4:40 p.m. ET kickoff.

Heinicke has "a real chance" to be Washington's starting quarterback for Saturday's wild-card game against the Buccaneers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports

According to Rapoport, typical starter Alex Smith's right calf remains sore and has yet to loosen up, which contained him to a pair of limited practice sessions this week. On Tuesday, coach Ron Rivera opened the door for Washington to have a rotation at QB, and after Heinicke handled the majority of first-team reps, the Football Team is considering giving him the first shot to direct the offense. Such a decision may not be known until close to Saturday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.

Coach Sean McVay said Thursday that Goff has made progress following surgery on his dislocated right thumb, but he has yet to make a decision on the Rams' starting quarterback for Saturday's wild-card game in Seattle, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.

After injuring his thumb Week 16, Goff underwent the procedure and sat out the regular-season finale, which allowed John Wolford a spot start at QB. As this week of practice proceeded, Goff looked crisp in drills but was listed as limited on all three injury reports. Goff himself told Rodrigue that taking snaps under center felt "good" in practice, but the Rams still consider him questionable to suit up this weekend. Ultimately, a decision on Goff's status will be announced approximately 90 minutes before Saturday's 4:40 p.m. ET kickoff.

Blough completed six of 10 passes for 49 yards with one interception in one game in 2020.

After Blough made the Detroit roster out of training camp only to get cut in September, the Lions thought enough of the 25-year-old to sign him back to the active roster once it was known in October that the Cowboys were in the market for someone to replace Dak Prescott (knee). However, Blough went on to see action in just a single game in 2020 while serving as the No. 3 QB behind Matthew Stafford and Chase Daniel. While there's a chance he could return as the No. 2 option in 2021 should Daniel be let go, it seems more likely that Detroit will take a developmental signal-caller in the upcoming draft to fill that role.
