Jordan Love QB | GB
Packers' Jordan Love: Will not practice Monday
Love (shoulder) will not practice Monday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Love injured his shoulder in the Packers' exhibition opener, and although head coach Matt LaFleur said Love is "feeling a lot better," he also noted that the Packers are "going to be smart" and give Love some time to recover. Aaron Rodgers and Kurt Benkert are slated to share the reps until Love returns, but LaFleur noted that the Packers are planning to bring in some other quarterbacks for workouts to increase the options should Love's injury linger.

Trace McSorley QB | WAS
Ravens' Trace McSorley: Out for rest of preseason
McSorley (back) will miss the rest of the preseason, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Coach John Harbaugh expects McSorley to miss a few weeks after he was bothered by back spasms in Saturday's preseason win over New Orleans. McSorley got the start with Lamar Jackson held out, completing 11 of 18 passes for 86 yards and an interception (plus four carries for 25 yards). The Ravens have been carrying only three quarterbacks for the past week, but they re-signed Kenji Bahar on Monday after learning that McSorley would miss some time. If healthy, McSorley remains the favorite to serve as Jackson's backup this season, though Tyler Huntley hopes to make a contest of it.

Trevor Lawrence QB | JAC
Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence: Starting again next week?
Coach Urban Meyer said Monday that there's a "decent chance" Lawrence starts the Jaguars' second preseason game next Monday at New Orleans, Mark Long of the Associated Press reports.
Lawrence started the preseason opener and completed six of nine passes for 71 yards, though he failed to produce any points on three drives, limited by sacks (two for 12 yards) and poor field position. Fellow Jags QB Gardner Minshew also failed to score on three drives, completing four of seven passes for 47 yards before he was intercepted on a Hail Mary at the end of the first half. Minshew has been getting some first-team reps in practice and is said by Meyer to be competing for the starting job, but Lawrence remains an overwhelming favorite for the Week 1 nod, and he could see extended playing time in the second exhibition on Monday Night Football.

Will Grier QB | CAR
Panthers' Will Grier: Plays second half
Grier played the second half of Sunday's 21-18 preseason loss to the Colts, completing 6 of 10 passes for 31 yards.
Grier watched P.J. Walker start for the Panthers and finish with 161 passing yards and a touchdown in the first half. Walker also left with Carolina winning the game, only for Grier and the team's reserves to muster just three second-half points. As it stands, Grier seems firmly behind Walker on the depth chart but has two more preseason outings to push to become Sam Darnold's backup.

Dak Prescott QB | DAL
Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Returning to practice Monday
Prescott (shoulder) is expected to resume practicing Monday, albeit on a limited basis, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Reports last week said the QB would get an MRI on Monday, but he ended up having it a couple days earlier and reportedly got confirmation that his shoulder is progressing well. While he doesn't figure to do a ton of throwing at Monday's practice, Prescott may be able to ramp up his workload in time for a brief appearance in one of the Cowboys' final two preseason games. If not, Week 1 would be his first game appearance since the ugly ankle injury last October.

Sam Ehlinger QB | DEN
Colts' Sam Ehlinger: Big second half
Ehlinger completed 10 of 15 pass attempts for 155 yards and an interception, also adding 30 rushing yards on eight attempts in Sunday's 21-18 preseason win over the Panthers.
Jacob Eason was given the start Sunday (15-for-21 passing for 183 yards) despite both young signal-callers sharing first-team reps during training camp. Ehlinger was more erratic at times, but he also produced more per attempt while adding some mobility. Coach Frank Reich already stated that their roles would be reversed for Saturday's preseason tilt against the Vikings. Carson Wentz's (foot) timetable is so vague that one of these youngsters -- or an outside party -- could wind up starting for the first few weeks of the regular season.
-
Kyle Allen QB | BUF
Football Team's Kyle Allen: Back at practice
Allen (ankle) participated at Sunday's practice, Rhiannon Walker of The Athletic reports.
Allen suffered an ankle injury early in camp and has since been sidelined, but he's back at practice Sunday after missing the past couple weeks. The 25-year-old appears slated to work as Washington's No. 3 quarterback since Taylor Heinicke is in competition with Ryan Fitzpatrick for the starting job.
-
P.J. Walker QB | SEA
Panthers' P.J. Walker: Looks strong in preseason loss
Walker completed 10 of 21 pass attempts for 161 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-18 preseason loss to Indianapolis.
Walker -- Carolina's projected backup quarterback -- got the starting nod under center with Sam Darnold sitting this one out. The former XFL star surprisingly did not record a rushing attempt, but he did put his scrambling ability on display by evading a couple of would-be sacks. Barring something unforeseen, Walker should begin the regular season as the Panthers' backup, but his rushing ability brings some fantasy intrigue should he be asked to start at any point this year.
-
Nick Mullens QB | JAC
Eagles' Nick Mullens: Forgettable preseason performance
Mullens completed one of five passes for four yards and two interceptions during Friday's preseason loss to the Steelers.
Managing to pull off a passer rating of zero, Mullens arguably had the worst preseason performance of the week despite only playing a handful of snaps. While this is not a great start in his bid to convince Philadelphia to carry three quarterbacks into the regular season, Mullens at least seems healthy after ending the 2020 campaign on injured reserve with an elbow injury.

Jordan Love QB | GB
Packers' Jordan Love: Set to miss some time
Coach Matt LaFleur said Love (shoulder) may miss practice this week and could even sit out Saturday's preseason game against the Jets, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.
There was an expectation Love would play three quarters of the Packers' exhibition opener versus the Texans on Saturday, but after he was strip sacked late in the first half, LaFleur opted to keep the second-year quarterback on the sideline after halftime. An MRI on Love's right shoulder Sunday came back clean, but LaFleur clearly doesn't want to press the issue in the coming days. Previously, the coach relayed starter Aaron Rodgers was unlikely to suit up in the preseason, and if Love is forced to sit out Saturday, LaFleur may have to adjust his plans with just one other quarterback (Kurt Benkert) on the roster.
