Caleb Sturgis K | LAC
Eagles' Caleb Sturgis: Hits one of two field-goal attempts
Sturgis made a 33-yard field goal but missed a 58-yard try Thursday versus the Ravens.
The veteran kicker finishes the preseason 4-for-4 on field goals under 40 yards, but just 1-for-4 on anything longer. He'll need to "kick" it into high gear with the regular season soon to start. If he does so, he ought to see more opportunities this year, given the upgrades the Eagles have made on both sides of the ball this offseason.

Zach Hocker K | TB
Zach Hocker: Misses out on roster spot
Hocker was released by the Buccaneers on Friday, Adam Caplan of ESPN reports.
Brought in to Tampa to compete with Nick Folk for the kicking gig, it would likely have required an impressive stint for Hocker to overtake the veteran. He's back on the free-agent market after being cut loose Friday.

Zane Gonzalez K | MIA
Browns' Zane Gonzalez: Wins kicking competition
Gonzalez has beaten out Cody Parkey for the Browns' kicking job, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Though Parkey was a tad more consistent throughout training camp, the Browns have decided to keep Gonzalez, whom they drafted in the seventh round this year. Cleveland figures to have a difficult time scoring this season, so Gonzalez's opportunities may be scarce, limiting his fantasy value.

Dustin Hopkins K | CLE
Redskins' Dustin Hopkins: Three field goals in win
Hopkins was 3-for-3 on field-goal attempts and 2-for-2 on extra-point tries in Sunday's preseason win over the Bengals.
Hopkins has had a solid preseason, with his most impressive showing coming against the Bengals. He knocked through all three attempts from 51, 44 and 26 yards away. He'll look to carry Sunday's momentum into the beginning of the regular season as he looks to bounce back from a 2016 campaign in which he recorded an 81.0 percent success rate on field goal attempts.

Travis Coons K | LAR
Travis Coons: Re-signs with Rams
The Rams have re-signed Coons, Adam Caplan of ESPN reports.
Coons was let go by the Rams on Monday in order to clear a roster spot for Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson. It was just a one-day contract so Dickerson could officially retire with the team. Coons does not figure to have a chance at making the final roster, as Greg Zuerlein has a strong hold on the position.

Justin Tucker K | BAL
Ravens' Justin Tucker: Passes through concussion protocol
Tucker passed through the concussion protocol after colliding with Buffalo's Brandon Tate in Saturday's preseason game, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Tucker put a scare into fans for the second week in a row, getting in the mix on kick coverage and taking some contact. Fortunately, he passed through the concussion protocol with no issues, meaning that his status for the season opener is not in jeopardy. Still, the Ravens could encourage Tucker to avoid getting overly involved in kick coverage in an effort to conserve their All-Pro kicker.

Nick Folk K | ATL
Buccaneers' Nick Folk: Nails three field goals Saturday
Folk connected on all three of his field-goal attempts in Saturday's 13-9 preseason loss to the Browns, making kicks of 31, 42 and 43 yards.
The veteran kicker capped off a strong week of practice with his perfect performance, offering tangible evidence of why the Bucs felt comfortable calling the kicking competition between Roberto Aguayo and Folk in the latter's favor early in preseason. Folk will enter the regular season with the starting job and will look to improve on the 81.3 percent accuracy he's compiled over his nine seasons.

Chris Boswell K | PIT
Steelers' Chris Boswell: Scores nine points Saturday
Boswell was successful on all three field-goal attempts but missed his lone extra-point try in a 19-15 preseason loss to the Colts on Saturday.
The missed extra point was the first blemish on what has otherwise been a perfect preseason for Boswell, who has made all six field-goal tries and had made all four previous point-after conversions. With no competition in camp and a potent Pittsburgh offense, Boswell is an attractive kicking option this coming season.

Travis Coons K | LAR
Travis Coons: Waived by Rams
Coons was waived by the Rams on Monday, Adam Caplan of ESPN reports.
Coons was picked up by the Rams earlier in camp in order to help push kicker Greg Zuerlein. The 25-year-old never figured to have an actual chance at landing the role.

Brandon McManus K | GB
Broncos' Brandon McManus: Totals eight points in win
McManus hit field goals of 46 and 28 yards and two extra points in Saturday's preseason win over the Packers.
Denver's big boot has now converted all seven of his field-goal attempts and all eight of his extra-point attempts this preseason. After ranking in the top 10 in the league last year with 29 field goals, including 11 of 15 from 40 yards and beyond, McManus looks prepared for what will be a contract year.
