Panthers' Joey Slye: Misses two kicks

Slye made one of his two field-goal attempts and three of his four extra-point tries in Sunday's 30-20 win over the Titans.

Slye converted his first four kicks, including a 35-yard field goal, but ran into trouble in the fourth quarter. After having an extra point blocked, he missed a 49-yard field goal wide left on Carolina's next drive. Overall, that left him with just six points, lowering his season average to just over eight per game.

  • Steelers' Chris Boswell: Scores 14 points in win

Boswell made all four of his field-goals (21, 26, 33, 51) and both PATs in Sunday's 26-24 win over the Colts.

His fourth field goal proved to be the difference maker with under seven minutes remaining in the game. Despite the Steelers having an offense that is a shell of what it was last season, Boswell has managed to average 8.5 points per game and could have another solid showing in Week 10 against a Rams club that allows 7.5 fantasy points per game to opposing kickers.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Has one kick blocked

Fairbairn made two of three field-goal attempts and two of three extra-point kicks for eight points in Sunday's 26-3 win over the Jaguars.

Fairbairn can't be faulted on either miss. The unsuccessful field goal was from 58 yards in the waning moments of the first half, while the extra-point miss was blocked. His two makes were from 42 and 52 yards. After a shaky start to the season, the third-year kicker has righted himself over the last three weeks. However, with just 17 FGA in nine games, Fairbairn is well off his scoring pace of 2018.

  • Bears' Eddy Pineiro: Quiet performance

Pineiro converted a pair of extra points in the Bears' 22-14 loss to the Eagles on Sunday.

During the first half of the game, Chicago picked up just one first down, and then playing from way behind in the second half, the only work Pineiro saw was extra-point attempts. Although he's recorded 10 points in three different games, he's failed to reach five points in four other contests, making him a very inconsistent fantasy option.

  • Cardinals' Zane Gonzalez: Accrues five points Thursday

Gonzalez hit his only field-goal attempt and both extra-point tries during Thursday's 28-25 defeat to the 49ers.

Gonzalez attempted between two and five field goals in each of the first eight games of the season, so Thursday's one try marked a season low. Moreover, he missed out on a PAT when the Cardinals went for two to cut the lead to three following Andy Isabella's 88-yard TD catch with less than five minutes remaining. Gonzalez will look to bounce back in a Week 10 matchup in Tampa Bay.

  • Graham Gano K | NYG

Panthers' Graham Gano: Recovering from surgery

Gano recently underwent surgery to address his left knee injury, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.

Gano's knee injury, the severity of which caused him to be placed on season-ending injured reserve, was previously referred to as soreness. He's working to fully recover in time for the 2020 campaign.

  • Mike Badgley K | BUF

Chargers' Michael Badgley: Ready to kick Week 9

Badgley (groin) has been cleared to handle the Chargers' kicking duties in Sunday's game against the Packers, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Badgley logged a trio of full practices last week before being deemed inactive for the Chargers' eventual win over the Bears, but Los Angeles finally seems confident that he's ready to make his season debut. According to Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times, coach Anthony Lynn said Wednesday that Badgley will be ready to handle both kickoffs and field-goal attempts Week 9, something that was foreshadowed by the Chargers' release of Chase McLaughlin on Tuesday. Badgley was one of the NFL's most proficient kickers in 2018, converting 15 of 16 field-goal attempts and 27 of 28 extra-point tries.

  • Redskins' Dustin Hopkins: Perfect in Week 8

Hopkins made all three of his field-goal tries but did not attempt an extra point in Week 8's 19-9 loss to the Vikings.

Hopkins converted from 21, 30 and 43 yards on his respective attempts, scoring the entirety of Washington's points. That tally saw him match his season high, but the Redskins' inability to generate offense really restricts his upside overall. Through eight games, Hopkins sports just 33 points.

  • Raiders' Daniel Carlson: Scores six points

Carlson made his only field-goal attempt as well as all three of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Texans.

Carlson converted from 44 yards on his lone field goal, and by nailing all his extra points, he remains with just one miss on his 26 total kicking attempts this season. Through seven games, Carlson has notched 37 points, including three straight with six points following Sunday's showing.

  • Mike Badgley K | BUF

Chargers' Michael Badgley: Slated to return against Packers

Following Chase McLaughlin being placed on waivers, Badgley (groin) is expected to play Sunday against the Packers.

Badgley was a full participant for all three practices last week, but the Chargers afforded him additional rest Week 8. The departure of McLaughlin signals the Chargers are comfortable with Badgley's recovery, so he's in line to make his season debut Sunday. Badgley was automatic last year, connecting on 15 of 16 field-goal attempts and 27 of 28 extra-point tries.
