Beck (coach's decision) is inactive and is designated as Arizona's emergency third quarterback for Sunday's matchup versus the Giants. Beck has now been inactive as the emergency third quarterback for each of Arizona's first four games this season. He'll be able to enter Sunday's matchup only if both Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew need to exit due to injury, illness or ejection.

Beck (coach's decision) is inactive but will serve as the emergency third quarterback against the 49ers on Sunday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Beck will once again be the Cardinals' emergency QB3, meaning he won't be allowed to play Sunday unless both Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew leave the game due to injury, illness or ejection.

Beck (ribs) continued to be a limited participant at Monday's practice, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports. Beck fared well in the Hall of Fame Game against the Panthers, completing 15 of 19 passes for 188 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. However, the rookie third-round pick came out of that contest with a rib injury that has capped his practice reps in the meantime and otherwise sidelined him for the Cardinals' next two exhibitions. Beck thus has one more chance for preseason action Friday at Green Bay before likely being relegated to the team's No. 3 QB role behind Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew to begin his career.

Coach Mike LaFleur said Beck (ribs) "most likely" won't suit up for Saturday's preseason contest against the Cowboys, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports. Beck impressed in the Hall of Fame Game against the Panthers, completing 15 of 19 passes for 188 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. However, he emerged from the contest with a rib injury, and the extent of his activity level since then has been individual drills. LaFleur added that Beck will throw after Thursday's practice, which will give the Cardinals a sense of where he stands in his recovery.
