• Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Four catches in Week 7 win

  Godwin secured four of five targets for 27 yards in the Buccaneers' 43-13 win over the Panthers on Sunday. Godwin served as the Buccaneers' de facto No. 1 receiver with Emeka Egbuka (concussion/foot) sidelined, but as it turned out, the Buccaneers' air attack had minimal involvement in the lopsided win. With the returning Baker Mayfield attempting just 11 passes and mustering 64 passing yards, Godwin's numbers were actually perfectly acceptable within that context. Godwin has back-to-back four-catch efforts and at least that number in three of the past four games overall; however, with an average of just 9.0 yards per reception and zero touchdowns through seven games, the veteran receiver carries very modest fantasy value even withe Egbuka sidelined.

  Emeka Egbuka (concussion) is out for Week 7 against Carolina, and hopefully, his absence will help Godwin have his best game of the season. Godwin has yet to score double digits in PPR in any game, and he's been held to 46 yards or less in all six outings, with no touchdowns. Egbuka has 25 targets in his past two games against Dallas and Pittsburgh, and that was with Jalon Daniels under center. Baker Mayfield (thumb) is back for Tampa Bay, and hopefully that will help Godwin as well. Ted Hurst is also worth using in deeper leagues, and this is a good matchup of late. In the past two games with cornerbacks Jaycee Horn (quadriceps) and Mike Jackson (groin) on injured reserve, the Panthers have allowed four receivers to score at least 13.5 PPR points with Jameson Williams, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Isaac TeSlaa and DeVonta Smith.

  Godwin caught four of eight targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 26-19 overtime loss to the Steelers. For the fifth time in six games to begin the season, Godwin caught either three or four passes, and all six of his yardage totals have been between 25 and 46 yards. The veteran wideout also has yet to score a TD in 2026, and his lackluster production has come whether Baker Mayfield (thumb) or rookie Jalon Daniels has been under center. Godwin will try to find a way to break out in Week 7 against the Panthers.

  Godwin secured all three targets for 37 yards and rushed once for three yards in the Buccaneers' 24-16 win over the Cowboys on Thursday night. Godwin continued to fill a complementary role in the air attack on a night when Jalon Daniels threw for a modest 189 yards. The veteran wideout has been confined to a short-area role for the most part whether it's been Baker Mayfield (thumb) or Daniels under center, as Godwin has just a 19-179-0 line on the season and two receptions of 20-plus yards heading into a Week 6 home matchup against the Steelers on Sunday, Oct. 18.

• Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Six catches in Week 4 loss

  Godwin brought in six of seven targets for 31 yards in the Buccaneers' 17-14 loss to the Packers on Sunday. Godwin led the Buccaneers in receptions and targets while finishing second in receiving yards on the afternoon. The latter total was especially nothing to write home about, but it was the byproduct of rookie Jalon Daniels throwing for only 148 yards in his NFL debut. Godwin and the rest of the Buccaneers' air attack currently have fairly dim prospects while Daniels takes his initial lumps at the NFL level, and with Baker Mayfield unlikely to return before November per latest reports, the veteran receiver has limited fantasy value for the foreseeable future.
