Donald (back) didn't practice Saturday, per head coach Sean McVay, but he's "good to go" for Monday's game versus the Bills, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports. Donald sat out Week 4 due to back soreness and then logged a full session Friday, and while a downgrade in activity one day later technically can be cause for concern, it likely was a veteran rest day. Through two appearances since ending his retirement, Donald has four tackles while logging a shade more than 50 percent of the defensive snaps both times.

Donald (back) practiced in full Friday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN reports. Donald missed Week 4 due to a sore back, but coach Sean McVay said Monday that the Rams are "hopeful" the defensive lineman will return to action in Week 5, according to Stu Jackson of the team's official site. After being limited Thursday, Donald handled every practice rep one day later and thus is in line to play Monday against the Bills. Through two games this season, he has four tackles while logging a defensive snap share just above 50 percent on both occasions.

Donald (back) will be a limited participant at Thursday's practice, according to head coach Sean McVay, Adam Grosbard of the LA Daily News reports. Donald has a chance to return for Monday's game against the Bills after missing the Rams' Week 4 win over the Eagles. The veteran defensive lineman's status will bear monitoring as the Rams begin practicing ahead of Monday's primetime matchup, with injury designations for Week 5 to come Saturday.

Head coach Sean McVay is hopeful that Donald (back) will play in his team's Monday night matchup against the Bills in Week 5, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports. "That's the direction it looks like it's trending in," McVay said. It was reported Sunday that the Rams are hoping to get Donald back in Week 5, and McVay confirmed as much a day later. With a Monday night game ahead the Rams will not release an official injury report until Thursday, so the next update on his status is likely to come then.

The Rams are "optimistic" that Donald (back), who has been ruled Sunday's game against the Eagles, will be available to play in Week 5 versus the Bills, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Donald will miss his second game of the season but his first due to injury, after he was absent for the Week 1 loss to the 49ers in Australia while he worked to regain full conditioning after a two-plus-year layoff from game action. The 35-year-old played more than half of the defensive snaps in Weeks 2 and 3, so his absence for Sunday's contest will leave a major void along the line. Braden Fiske and Kobie Turner could both be in line for heightened snaps to compensate for Donald's absence, while Tyler Davis may also see his role grow as the Rams' first lineman up off the bench.
